This restaurant appealed to me as advertisements on the flyers say you can bring your own drink for a SMALL corkage fee. However, as we found out the math doesn't exactly match up if you bring in your own bottles of beer...as it costs a whooping 3.75E PER bottle opened! Thereby, working out cheaper in fact if you DON'T bring your own booze! (Note: Its 7.50E corkage per bottle of wine. Which will really only work to your advantage if you like your wine really cheap or really expensive). So that money saving plan i had to head to this restaurant and bring my own drink really didnt work ! Did actually end up eating their as it was only after we had given our bottles to the waitress that we saw the 3.75 opening fee. So we just floored our bottle of beer and left. On a positive note the interior, atmosphere and waitress were all very nice!

Cafe Moda
192 Lower Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin

A comfortable interior does not make up for making a bad toasted cheese sandwich..... Are the smoothies they serve those horrible 'innocent' smoothies de-bottled and put in a glass? cos unfortunately thats what they taste like.. iv had a disapppointing 3 visits.

Cava Spanish Restaurant & Tapas Bar
51 Lower Dominick Street, Galway City, Galway

This tapas bar has so much potential...nice interior, good sangria and friendly staff...Not to mention the fact that it is a refreshing lift for Gaiway.. However, there is room for improvement (and imagination)with regards the food especially on the veggie front (a bland cheese crostini with a grilled tomato on top just wont suffice)... However,im definately willing to give it another visit even if it is mainly for the atmosphere and drink alone.
