Ate here for the first time on Valentine's day (2015) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. There was a very reasonable offer for 2 (considering it was valentine's night), the decor is stunning - in reality it is a small cramped space but with mirrors and well laid out tables it didn't feel like it at all. There are little nooks with low tables where you can lounge on pillows while you eat - unfortunately we didn't get one of these but I suspect you have to book those in advance, The food was delicious, got a selection of: nasi goreng, lamb curry (can't remember what type!), chicken satay, japanese tender beef and delicious pan stir-fried veg. It was all prepared to perfection with excellent presentation. There was a somewhat limited wine selection but we got a very nice riesling. Finally our waiter was terrific, very friendly and open to explaining the "dutch rice-table" set up. All in all, a terrific experience and we will be back again and hopefully secure one of the lounging tables!

Have eaten here twice and each time have been blown away by the food. This time we were early and were able to recline on the couches while sipping our amazing tea and eating the delicious food - the decor is also terrific - a must for all menupagers!

Torrinos Restaurant
10 Market Lane, Westport, Mayo

Loved everything about our visit to this restaurant! Wonderful music, decor, food and wine and lovely staff. I had the Salumi starter which was a selection of cured meats adorned with some amazing cheese. I then had a baked hake cooked with olive oil and herbs - as someone who doesn't like butter this was a lovely variation on the traditional cooking of fish. I will definitely come back the next time I am in Westport.

Ichiman Japanese & Thai Restaurant (Lower Liffey Street)
20 Lower Liffey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Had a voucher for a 22 piece sushi platter with wine. Clean and simple decor with a few nice japanese touches - all the waiting staff were clad in traditional garb which was lovely. The sushi was great, we also had some gyoza which my daughter wolfed down. Would like to come back again to try the dinner fare.

Village Cafe
Rathmines, Rathmines, Dublin

We had brunch, was very impressed with the brunch menu. Delicious food, promptly served and some excellent coffee. We also really enjoyed the music that we were listening to. Had a bit of difficulty getting condiments (pepper/ketchup) but apart from that was a very good experience

La Reserve Artisan Brasserie
53 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

My partner and I ate at La Reserve on 16/02/13. Lovely staff, really welcoming. Prompt service and the food was excellent. I had a duck, foie gras and gesiers starter that was to die for (was almost tempted to ask for it again for dessert) followed by a deliciously tender rosemary lamb on a bed of thinly sliced olive potatoes. Finished off with a perfect clafoutis and it was all accompanied by an expensive but perfect bottle of Macon Lugny. Overall it ended up being a small bit expensive (mainly due to the wine - even the house wines aren't less than €20) but the food was really top notch. I would agree with the previous poster in that the portions were a bit small but not ridiculously so - I didn't leave hungry!

Yamamori Izakaya
12/13 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I recently ate here with my partner, I was a bit worried that it might be a yamamori clone (nothing wrong with that, but there are already 2) but this was not the case. Very nice decor which lended to the nice atmosphere. The portions for each course were a bit on the small side, (I could have eaten my starter (beef tataki) in 1 bite) but the food itself was exquisite. My main course were mini lamb cutlets that really melted in my mouth. The staff however took the cake (hohoho) They were inceredibly friendly and efficient and when my partner knocked over my free (thanks to the menupages voucher) cocktail they brought a new one over free of charge. Overall we had a great experience and we will be eating there again.
