Had not been to the Trocadero for a long time. Booked the early Theater dinner for two. We had the Fried Brie and Goats Cheese for starters followed by the Duck, then Creme Brulee and Profiteroles washed down with the house wine Pinot Grigio. It was the best dinning experience we have had in a long time in Dublin. Excellent food, great service with a smile and we will be going back. Also, great value for money. Cant wait until our next visit.

McHugh’s Wine & Dine Restaurant
59 St. Assam's Park, Dublin 5, Raheny, Dublin

On our way home from Blooms and decided to finish the day off by eating out. One of the group suggested Mc Hugh's as they had been there before and it was on our way home. We had no reservation but they were able to fit us in. We opted for the early bird which had a great selection of dishes for all taste buds. We opted for the Home Made Steak Burger, Fish & Chips and the vegetarian dish washed down with nice glass of the house white. Service was excellent, friendly and helpful, waitress knew the menu and was able to offer suggestions. Definitely going back again.

Browns Barn Bar and Kitchen
Citywest Exit, Citywest Bridge N7, West Dublin, Saggart, Dublin

Ate here on the way home from National Stud & Japanese Gardens. It was my second visit and first time for the 4 other people in the group. We just had main courses of Chicken Curry, Steak Sandwich, Burger and Steak.. My dining companions were very impressed with their food and presentation. Two deserts ordered, Bailey's Cheesecake and Strawberry Pavlova and again enjoyable. We had lovely waitress who was friendly and efficient. Definitely going to call again.

McGoverns Malahide
The diamond, Main Street , North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

It was a first visit to McGoverns and what a really nice meal we had. There were four in our group and we all opted for the early bird menu which turned out to be very good value. Starters included delicious home made soup, BBQ Chicken wings (enough for two) and Chilli Prawns. Followed by RIB Eye Steak, Mexican Beefburger, Catalan Chicken and the old favourite, Fish and Chips. We force ourselves to have desert and the star was the Rhubarb Fool. Service was friendly and efficient and will definitely be going back.

Chilli Shaker Indian Restaurant
River Mall, 32-36 Main Street, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

My first visit to this restaurant and I will be back. We opted for the early bird which is served all day on Sunday. €17.95 for three courses which included coffee and desert. We started with Aloo Chap and Boti Lamb Kebab followed by main courses of Lamb Balti and the wonderful Jhinga Mango delicious and flavoursome. All washed down with a nice Pinot Grigot. Our bill came to €54 and was great value. Only let down was the patchy service. That said, I will make a return visit as the food was excellent.

Duffy's Pub
Main St, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

Had lunch for first time at Duffys with my parents recently. They offer a great selection of pub grub and a Three Course menu for €12 which my parents opted for. Dad had the Lamb & Mushroom Pie and Mum has the Crusted Haddock. Both agreed the food was tasty, plenty on the plate and great value. I had the open chicken sandwich served on a platter with plenty of salad and garnish. Although, Tea and Coffee is not included, €2.80 for a pot of tea for two is very good value. Service was definitely with a smile. Looking forward to going back. If you are visiting Malahide check out Duffys for lunch.

Corkscrew Restaurant Wine and Café Bar
McDermott Street, Gorey, Co Wexford, Gorey, Wexford

It was another return visit to The Corkscrew and once again we were not disappointed. My fellow diners had the 6oz Minute Steak, Beef Lasagne and I opted for the Thai Chicken Curry which was delicious, tasty, well presented and plenty of it. My fellow dinners were impressed with their choices as well. We all had deserts, Lemon Meringue Pie and my favourite Tiramasiu. All delicious and nicely presented. We finished off our lovely meal with Teas and Coffees. Service was excellent and in fact the owner / manager remembered us from our previous visits. All in all a lovely dining experience again. So if you are visiting area or passing through its worth stopping for lunch here. Looking forward to our next visit at Easter.

Eden
Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin

Had not been to Eden for over two years and was curious if the high standard of food and service had been maintained. There were five of us for dinner and we had the special menu. Prawns and Noodles and Smokies for starters followed by Duck and Sea Bass for main courses. Everyone enjoyed their meal and agreed that the food was still excellent and we would come again. Our waiter was, very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list and all the staff worked as a team making the evening enjoyable for our party of five. Definitely going back again, but not waiting for another two years.

Kajjal
7 The Green, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

As a huge fan of Indian food I was impressed with this restaurant. Food and Service were excellent and the attention to detail was first class. Flavours and food presentation was the best that I have experienced for a long time. This restaurant is a very welcome addition to Malahide. I will check out the early bird menu based on the feedback from other reviewers.

Little Venice
Old Airport Road, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin

Had lunch here on Tuesday and it was a very nice experience. They offer a special lunch menu as well as the A La Carte. I had the Chicken Curry and my friend had the Steak off the lunch menu. Both dishes were very nice. Tirimisiu is home made and was absolutely delicious. I had not been to Little Venice for some time, but I will go back again.
