We love this place for breakfast and it like for others has become a bit of a weekend ritual to head here on a Sat morn with the family. The food is great and there's plenty of choice for all times of the day. Service is always the same, fast and friendly. My only complaint is that they do not open on a Sunday but I understand that as a family business they do deserve a day off too.

Avenue Cafe & Restaurant
Main Street, Maynooth, Kildare

I have had Lunch here on two occasions recently and have to say was I pleasantly surprised. There is a huge amount of choice on the a la carte menu & their lunch Menu gives you the option of a Starter & Main or a Main & Dessert for €20 incl Tea or Coffee. Like one on the other reviews mentioned their burger was not available on the Lunch Menu but as I didn't care for tea or coffee it worked out cheaper to go with the a la carte menu for my Starter & Main. The decor is lovely and most of the staff are very friendly so we will be back.

DIG IN
19 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

Went here as part of a Birthday group. The only problem is that the seating is really not suitable for large groups. Once you were seated on the inside you were there for the night. I have to say though that it was great value, I enjoyed my meal as did everyone else. And the cocktails were also really good. Will be back but with smaller numbers.

Really had a lovely time here. We were seated down stairs and could have stayed the night we were so relaxed. The food was delish and the cocktails even better. Some of the seats are very close to each other which is the only downpoint. We felt at times that we were sharing dinner with the 4 people right beside us. Other than that I really like the atmosphere and will definitely be back.

Bella Italia
43A Thomas Street, Limerick City, Limerick

Based on the reviews I read on this site, my husband and I on a visit to Limerick chose to have our lunch here. We, like everyone else thought the decor was nice but that was the only thing that impressed us. Granted the lunch rush was dying down but it felt like the enthusiasm of the staff to look after the customers was too. After a wait my husbands Lasagna arrived but I still had another 5mins at least till my pizza came. When it did, it looked half cooked on top and burnt underneath. We weren't impressed by what we had ordered, even my husbands Lasagna was very dry and not very edible. There is nothing cheap about this place especially when the food can't live up to it. We won't be back.

Hamptons Grill
Henry Street, Limerick City, Limerick

We really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. The food was devine, best in a longtime. The only con to this would be all the extras it took to complete the meal. It's a bit Ryanair of them but you basically get your main course and then have to pay extra for the potato/chips & sauce if required. The deserts looked lovely but we didn't avail. Staff were very friendly but extremely rushed which led to plently of little accidents and knocking into each other. It was a bit of theatre to watch. I would really recommend it and it was lovely to see such a hiving place in the middle of a "recession".

Marco Polo not live
O'Connell Street, Limerick City, Limerick

We didn't have a reservation on a Saturday night but turned up at eight thirty crossing our fingers. They were busy at the time and asked us to come back in 30mins which we did and were seated promptly. Starters came out fast, main course took a bit longer but blew our minds when we saw the portion sizes. We weren't the only ones leaving half behind, a look at all the other tables had people taking taking breaths and opening an extra button to try and consume a little more. Staff were very friendly and the buzz was great. Will definitely be back but probably wouldn't recommend as a romantic destination.
