Sunday lunch at Dobbins with the girls - I absolutely love this place! Food is fantastic, service is great, and at 25 euro for 3 courses it is great value - I had the smoked haddock risotto to start - I love smoked haddock but not a big fan of risotto but I loved this dish, it was so tasty. The salmon dish for main was very different but fab, and creme brulee to finish off. All the girls were happy with their dishes - only complaint is that we were really hot during the meal (air con needs to be better) and too full leaving!!!

Had a meal here with a friend on a Thurs night. The restaurant was packed and noisy and the atmosphere was great. The food as always in Salamanca was fantastic, and big portions! We had the chicken wings, stuffed peppers, a salad, patatas bravas and a pretty decent bottle of house white for 50 euro. Has something for everybody, will definitely go back again and again!

The Greenroom Restaurant at Seafield Hotel & Spa Resort
Ballymoney, Ballymoney Wexford, Wexford

Had lunch in the bar with my family - service was excellent, everyone friendly and efficient. I had the smoked fish chowder - very tasty and light, but interestingly no smoked fish, there was whitefish, prawns and mussels which were all lovely. 3 of us had the fish and chips and even the mushy peas were eaten! Mum asked for the golfers soup and sandwich which she got even tho she is not a golfer. The house sauvignon blanc was very nice if pricey at 25 euros. The bar has great views, nice atmosphere, super service.

Dada Restaurant
45 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I have been wanting to try Dada for awhile - the Dine in Dublin 25 euro menu was a great excuse for me and the girls to visit! The decor is fab with lots of terracotta colours, candles etc and is divided into smaller areas, all of this creates great atmosphere. Even though there were a few big groups in the restaurant, we still felt like we had enough privacy! We ordered a selection of starters from meatballs to mackeral cigars, and everything was tasty. For mains, I had a lamb tangine, the lamb was beautifully cooked. The girls tried the hake tangine which was even nicer! The tangines were served in those super pots. Extensive wine list also noted. Definitely would go back - especially as their set menus offer loads of choice which is an added bonus for set menus/ early birds.

Maloti
34-35 South William Street, South William Street, Dublin

Had dinner here with a very large group on a Sat night - have eaten here a few times before and the food has always been great. We only had main courses and it did take ages to order and get the food but we didnt mind because we were very merry anyway and were also aware that the were about 30 of us! I had the mild prawn curry (Malai) and it was really tasty, only problem was the gritty tract hadnt been removed from all my prawns. Plenty of rice, naan and wine to go around for everyone. One order got mixed up, but the correct dish came out quickly and my friend got two dishes for the price of one - thats great service, especially when they could have stuck it on the bill and hoped we wouldnt notice. Will definitely be back again!

Dillingers
47 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

evening for my mum's birthday. The food is good, I had the chicken kiev which I would usually never order but it was well cooked, tasty and good prtion size. We also had the steak, cod, clam chowder, and swordfish/ salmon special. All the food was well presented - only complaint was there were only 4 clams in the clam chowder and the meal was taken off our bill without any hesitation- fair play to the staff. Of the desserts, the creme brulee was yummy. Good selection of specials indicates fresh fish and meat which is a great sign. Unfortunately, the wine list is limited and expensive - only 2 whites and reds under 25 euro! Bill was expensive - 40 euro each for mains only, 2 bottles of wine between 6, and one dessert..

Gulliver's Restaurant @ Newpark Hotel
Castlecomer Road, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Stayed in this hotel last weekend and had dinner in the restaurant as it was included in our package. The meal wasn't great - the menu is small and has only 4 choices of each course, and the food arrived out suspiciously early. I had the smoked chicken salad to start, the lettuce had obviously been sitting out all day and was wilted and brown. I had the salmon for main, which was ok. My partner had the lamb shank which was a bit tough and plonked on top of hard lumpy mash which was inedible. The desserts were the star of the show, the strawberry roulade was homemade and tasty, his apple and blackberry crumble was also yummy. The service wasn't great either, felt rushed to eat up and get out. On the plus side, the wine list is great and had a lovely bottle of pinot gris at reasonable price. Its a pity the restaurant is so poor as the food in the bar looked fantastic and the place was heaving for Sunday lunch.

La Rivista
22 Parliament Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

This restaurant has been recommended by loads of people so I booked it for my partner's surprise 30th on Sat night. The staff were great, food was great, and the it was great value. We ordered off both the main menu and the special Sat night menu, which wasn't a problem. I had the briuschetta to start which were tasty and just the right size. I had the prawn pasta for main - the prawns were fresh not frozen and very tasty. My partner had the mussels and steak, the steak was a little overdone but still tender. Everyone appeared to enjoy their food and most plates were empty. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Kilkenny

Eden Bar & Lounge
Grange Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Went to the Eden on Sun evening with friends to grab a quick dinner. Hadn't been here for awhile. The menu is really big, and had trouble choosing what to have! Went for the chicken penne pasta, the ladies chose the cajun chicken sandwich, chicken stuffed with brie and broccoli, and half roast chicken. The food was all tasty, and hit the spot for us! The portion sizes are huge, and all dishes come with a side of chips, potatoes or salad. Would definitely go back for pub grub again to try more of the choices on the menu

Cortina’s Mexican Restaurant
The Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

Had an early dinner here with my family, unfortunately I was driving and didn't get to sample the cocktails but the list is quite good and my sister's apple martini looked fantastic. We had the salsa sampler (not on menu strangely, but excellent server recommended), which was so tasty and to be honest we could have sat there all night with tortillas, salsas and cocktails (if I could have left the car!) The food was pretty good, portions not too large, and not too pricey. My parents would not not be fond of spicy food, but they both enjoyed their flautas and fajitas. We also tried the tacos and burritos. I would definitely recommend for a mexican. Have to mention the service which was friendly and excellent.

Coppinger Row
Coppinger Row, off South William St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate here with a large group on Fri night. This place has great atmosphere, and they do a set menu of 2 courses for 25 euro which is great for groups. Only 3 choices for each course though. I had the chilli and garlic prawns for starter, the prawns were fresh and really tasty. I had the seam bream on ratatouille for main, the fish was beautifully cooked but the ratatouille was runny, overdone amd bit tasteless. Other mains were a lamb sausage which seemed to go down well, and a veg risotto which was gloopy and overloaded with parmesan. Tasted the pannacotta and biscotti for dessert - amazing! Wine list had good choice although our house white at 22 euro wasn't great. Service was pretty good, all in all, would go back to try the full menu.

Siam Thai (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

Ate here on Saturday night and the restaurant was really busy as usual! We had the early bird, and I love that you can choose from the entire menu. I had the tom kha prawn soup and beef in red wine sauce. I always have a thai curry, but I went for something different and was not diappointed. Some of my party wouldn't eat thai food very often and enjoyed it so much that they are planning to go back. Great food, great atmosphere, good service, good wine selection, great value early bird at 21 euro.

Koh
6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Went to Koh last night with a large group - we did the special offer 3 course menu and cocktail class for 50 euro. Food was ok, the dessert was rubbish - three plates of icecream and rock hard brownie to share among 20 people. I did have to make my own cocktails so I can't comment except to say there was no fresh lime to put in my cosmo! Overall, it was a good night, too expensive for what you get and wouldn't bother doing the cocktail night again - I have done a cocktail night before at a hen but this one was nowhere near as good!

Kielys Of Mount Merrion
Deerpark Road, Mount Merrion, Dublin

Popped into Kiely's for some pub grub on a Sat afternoon while out shopping with my parents. I had a chicken fillet burger and salad, Dad had the soup and a goats cheese salad, and Mum had the garlic mushrooms. The food is really tasty, good size portions and fairly reasonable. The food was a bit slow coming out but I think we ordered about the same time as a few other tables. The last time I was here the toilets were in need of a good clean and I have to say I noticed a big improvement this time! I would definitely go for the pub grub here again, the menu is has loads of choice.

Teddy's Grill & Ice-Cream Parlour
Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre, Dundrum, Dublin

I had a late lunch here with my mum and sister not long after it opened. We sat outside, and its a great spot for people watching! My mum had the garlic mushroom starter which was more like a main, I had the goats cheese salad which was also huge, and my sister had a pepperoni pizza. All the food was pretty good, and they have free refills on soft drinks! This place is a good addition to Dundrum for somewhere casual to grab a decent bite!

Wrights Findlater Howth Restaurant
Findlater House, North Co. Dublin, Howth, Dublin

Had a long girls lunch here on a Friday. The food was pretty good for a bar, we had the mussels and duck pate to start, both were nice. Had the fish pie, tiger prawns and seabass for mains which were all really tasty, and we had decent wine for under 20 euro a bottle. Atmosphere was different to most pubs in the afternoon - a man got up to sing in the middle of the bar at about 4 o clock, an unusual time for a singsong! All in all, pretty good value, and would go back for the pub grub.

Alfies
10 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

First time at Alfies - I met a friend for dinner after work. Were the only people in the restuarant for about half an hour which felt a bit strange. Had the apres work menu, which is such a good idea - starter, main and wine for 14 euro. I had goats cheese salad and thai curry - all tasty. My friend had fish cakes and a burger. All the food comes out together so no interruptions when having a good girly chat! This is a great place for a quick bite or for groups.

The Dining Room
35 Dawson Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Have been here a few times and always enjoy, the decor especially the stained glass roof, is beautiful and makes for a great atmosphere whether the restaurant is full or quieter! Went with a group of 8 for the 25 euro menu on a friday night. Everyone enjoyed their meal, with the only complaint from the men being smallish size portions and would have likes extra sides of potatos or veg. I had the smoked salmon to start, and the lamb cutlets for main, and the lemon posset for dessert. Great choice on the value menu. The service is spot on too, would recommed for groups.

Odessa
13 Dame Court, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Had the early bird in Odessa with my boyfriend. Restaurant fairly empty, but got to sit beside the window to catch the last of the sun.. We had the warm chorizo salad and soup for starters, very tasty. I had the smoked haddock for main which was perfectly cooked and really tasty. 60 euro for two courses and a nice bottle of wine, great value. Have been here loads of times and food never disappoints.

Ruairi Maguire’s Bar & Organic Kitchen
Dundrum Town Centre, Sandyford Road, Dundrum, Dublin

This is a nice bar for having drinks, but the food was awful, despite being organic! I had the goats cheese bruschetta which had loads of chilli in it for some reason, my partner had the steak snadwich which wasn't great, and the chips were hard on the inside and soggy on the outside. The onion rings were the only saving grace. Will return for drinks and the good bands, but not for food.

Ananda
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

This place is pretty pricey, but saw that they have an early bird (20 euro 2 courses) so decided to give it a try on Sun evening. The food is really really good - good choice of mains especially. We both decided to go for the seafood, my boyf's fish curry was excellent, and my prawns were yummy. Restaurant is beautiful, I loved the pink bathroom! Will definitely go back.
