Went here last Thursday with my girlfriend after reading the reviews on the site but I was far from impressed with what I got. For starters I got the chicken Tikka but unlike the name suggests there was no Tikka on the chicken. I just had plain chicken served to me. For the main course I had Lamb Jal ferezi which was okay. After reading the reviews here I was expecting a lot but unfortunately I felt the place didn’t reach up to my expectations. My girlfriend felt the same (sorry cant remember what she ordered). Service was very good on the up side

6 of us ate here for a 50th bitrthday party and nobody left disappointed, the place was hopping with people but luckily we had already booked a table and were sitted straight away, staff were very friendly and you felt like they would run to get whatever you wnated, the melon and parma ham was very fresh and juciy, the pate is to die for with a massive serving, the steak was cooked to perfection and was very tasty and the pasta was beautiful

Scent Garden Restaurant
1st Floor Scholars Pub, Ballycullen Road, Tallaght, Tallaght, Dublin

have only ever had takeaway here so cant rate what the inside is like, ordered the garlic chicken and chicken curry on saturday night and had mixed feelings, the garlic was oily and i wouldnt really call it a sauce, not what i was expecting at all, the curry is your standard feed nothing out of the ordinary, have had better and worse, in comparison to other takeaways i find it on the expensive side

Scholars Pub
Old Court Centre, Firhouse, Dublin

very quite when my girlfriend and i called in for the sunday carvery at about ten past two, place was pretty dark aswell, food was very tasty and a very helpful chef just pilled the plates high with whatever you fancied, the patato gratin was fantastic, better than average price aswell compared to other carverys in the area

LJ's Bar and Restaurant @ Louis Fitzgerald Hotel
Newland’s Cross, Naas Road, Dublin 22, Clondalkin, Dublin

ate here when it first opened and enjoyed it but o how it has gone downhill, had pate for starter which was nice but all you get is 1 bit of bread with it which is not near enough, for main i had the sirloin steak with pepper sauce, which was actually roast beef and bisto gravey, so bland, tough and overcooked(i said medium), for dessert i had the cheese cake which was very nice, the bottle of wine we ordered when we sat down didnt arrive till after the mains landed, all and all i wouldnt recommend the restaurant although the hotel itself is very nice

Dundrum Town Centre Dundrum, Dundrum, Dublin

got the combo starter for two and it was very tasty, had chicken, nachos, cheese breadsticks and wings, it really was a lovely starter, for mains i got the 12o ribeye steak which was very disappointing at 23 quid, not much of a taste off of it and was so tough to cut, might go back again but will defo stay the hell away from the steak

Reeds on the River at Courtneys
Main Street Lucan, West Dublin, Lucan, Dublin

ate here with 2 friends on saturday night before going out, i had the hot and spicy wings to start and wasnt impressed to find that they were not that hot or spicy, i also found them to be very fatty, i had the burger for mains and to my suprise found out that it was full of onions, all well and good but i dont like them and it didnt say it on the menu, was starving so tried my best to eat it, the lads also got the burgers and said it was very nice, waitress remembered every order in her head couldnt believe it when she took the orders of 3 tables at the same time and got everything spot on

Ming Garden (Dublin)
Unit 1-2 Bonnybrook CentreMain Street, Blanchardstown Village, Blanchardstown, Dublin

went here for the first time on tuesday evening for dinner with the girlfriend, we were in a rush so we only had mains, i tried the chicken in orange sauce and she got the chicken curry, the amount of chicken in both dishes was a plesent suprise and they were cooked to perfection, there was only one other couple in the place so thats why i rated the atmosphere so low, service and value were as you would expect

Langton House Hotel Kilkenny
69 John Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

ate here with my girlfriend after hearing alot about it and must say i was impressed, for starter i had the fried , i wasnt overly gone with the flavour but it was cooked perfectly so that was just me i would say, for mains i had the rack of lamb which was fantastic, it was so tender it just fell off the bone, the mash and sauce that came with it were also very tasty, for desert i had the ice cream and brown bread gateau with butterscoth sauce out of curiousity and was pleasently suprised to find it a wonderfull way to finish the meal, 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 desert and 4 drinks for €79, excellent value, staff plesent and effiecent

Abbot’s Steakhouse @ Abbey Court Hotel
Abbey Court Hotel, Lodges and Trinity Leisure Spa. Nenagh, Tipperary, Nenagh, Tipperary

excellent food but at a hefty price, ate here with two other friends and apart from the price we were all impressed, had the "seriously spicy chicken wings" and i have to say they are not over exagerating its advisable to have a drink handy, unfortunatley you only get 5 of them on your plate, had the cheese and bacon burger for mains and it was very tasty, with 2 pints the bill came to €33 each which i thought was more belonging to dublin city not nenagh

The Western Restaurant
35 Prospect Hill, Just off Eyre Square, Galway City, Galway

was staying in the hotel so ate here on the evening i arrived, after a bit of a wait the barman came with my ribs and i must say they were worth it, some of the best iv ever had, got a discount cause i was a resident so all was good, there was a match on the tv so it added to what would have been a dead atmosphere

profile_review

The Bleeding Horse
24 Camden Street Upper, Camden Street, Dublin

had the cavery at lunchtime today and thought it was grand, only thing i liked on the menu was the breaded chicken, it wasnt the most exciting i admit but it was nice, staff are very friendly and helpful, good price too

McSwiggans
3 Eyre Street, Woodquay, Galway

went here with a group of 12 on a xmas party, had the surf and turf and it was absolutely gorgeous, as for the bbq spare rib starter, an absolute disaster, there was just 4 bones covered in fat put on my plate, another of the group had the ribs aswell and he thought the exact same, if you cant get proper ribs to serve then take them off the menu!! the mojito is also very poor, everything else was lovely and nobody had any other complaints

profile_review

McDonagh's Seafood House

Monsoon (Rathmines)
306-308 Lower Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin

went here with my girlfriend last night and will be returning again, both of us had the lamb gosht korma with basalt rice and peshwari nan, can only say it was gorgeous and full of flavour, for starters i had some potato thing which was only okay, i felt so relaxed in the restaurant and even though people were seated close enough to us we hardly even noticed, the waiters are very nice and help you unwind by not harassing you to order, or pay they let you decide when you are ready to leave, 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 rice, 1 naan and 3 bottles of tiger beer came to 76euro

Texas Steakout
116 O'Connell Street, Limerick City, Limerick

Ive eaten here twice over the last few months with large groups of over 12 each time and was never let down, we got a few of the platters for starters and they went down a treat as they have a bit of everything on them, for mains most of us had steak but a few people had chicken and fajitas, nobody was left disappointed, found the price to be excellent, particularly when you compare it to what you would pay in Dublin, if I'm back in Limerick ill defo come here.

profile_review

Reeves Restaurant
172 Templeogue Road, Dublin 6w, Templeogue, Dublin

Ate here with my girlfriend last week and had mixed reactions, I had the Cajun chicken which came with rice and chips, the Cajun sauce on the chicken was super, my girlfriend got the stir fry but couldn't eat it as she felt it was too hot and spicy, the menu made no reference to this fact in their description of the dish, I might go back if I'm passing my girlfriend definitely wont, stick to the carvery in The Morgue itself

TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )

Ate here with a friend last night before going out and had a nice meal, for starters we both got the buffalo wings, beware they are HOT!!! I thought they were nice but my friend wasn't too impressed with the burning sensation. For mains he got the steak medium to well and said it was fantastic I went for the chicken tenders which were as good as they can be, had a couple of beers as well before setting off

Eddie Rockets (Dame Street)
Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

ate here after a night out with the girlfriend and found it to be below average, i got the cheese burger, chips and a strawberry malt, my girlfriend got the gougons and chips, the malt was more like strawberry milk absolutly rubbish attempt to make what is a nice drink, the waitress wasnt the best either as after i asked for ketchup she nearly smashed the bottle throwing onto the table, burger and gougons were usual good standard, dont think il be back to this particular eddie rockets

Eddie Rockets (Tallaght)
The Square, Shopping Centre Tallaght, West Dublin, Tallaght, Dublin

dropped in for a bite to eat today with my brother, service was very fast this may be because the place was practically empty, i had the chicken tenders, bacon cheese fries and strawberry malt, chicken was below average and tasteless, the bacon cheese fries were lovely as always and the malt was gorgeous tasted real fresh, brother had half and half onion rings/chips and the club sandwich, his only complaint was that the bacon in his sandwich had been burnt, chips here are wonderfully addictive

profile_review

Halfway House (Navan Road)

Ming Court Chinese Restaurant
Unit 453 Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Blanchardstown, Dublin

Ate here with my girlfriend on Friday night for the first time and I will be back, for starters I got the bbq ribs but unfortunately the sauce wasn't the best and didn’t add the flavour to the ribs that you would expect, she had the skewered chicken and said it was lovely I tasted the sauce and it was nice, for mains I went for the simple chicken curry and found the chicken to be wonderful, unlike many places Ive been to the chicken in ming court tasted very fresh and was a joy to eat, the curry sauce was also nice, herself got a fillet beef dish with mixed vegetables, she said the beef was out of this world and the vegetables were done very well, I had about 4 bottles of tsing tao and she had a glass of wine, it all came to 75 euro which I thought was good, will be back.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here with 2 friends and as always found it to be fantastic. For starters 2 of us had the buffalo wings which are simply wonderful, the other lad had Chinese parcels and said they were lovely. For mains I had a pizza and the others had steak and the club sandwich. The pizza is super. The thin base is delicious, the steak looked absolutley gorgeous and the club sandwich was nice. Had the profiteroles for dessert and found them to be average but overall very impressed.

It's just your run of the mill Eddie Rockets. Food was as good as it's ever been. I had the cheese burger and the bacon cheese fries which I always find to be lovely. The vanilla malt here was super. I hate when whoever makes it has it too thin but not here.

Bella Cuba Restaurant
11 Ballsbridge Terrace, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. My girlfriend brought me here as a suprise for my birthday last night and I must say it was gorgeous. For starters we got the meat pies and the croquets, it took a while for them to come out but when they did, you could taste that they were fresh and tasted very nice. For mains, I had the chicken tropicana. This was lovely; the chicken came in a mango, papaya and orange sauce served on a pineapple with rice and cashew nuts. She had the drunk chicken, which I tasted and found it to be wonderful and full of flavour. The desserts were okay but the Cuban cocktails were amazing. I had a couple of mojitos and she had a strawberry daquiri, both of which were simply wonderful. The atmosphere was great as Cuban music was being played and it really felt like we were on holiday. Will definitely be back

Chrysanthemum Chinese Restaurant
Unit 1 Old Orchard Inn, Butterfield Ave, Dublin 14, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Ate here last night with my girlfriend and was very impressed. I rang at about 6pm to see if they had a free table and luckily they had. Upon arriving it was very busy and stayed this way for the duration of the meal which gave the restaurant a good atmosphere. For starters I had skewered chicken in a satay sauce which was very nice. My girlfriend had the chicken and sweetcorn soup which she also thought was nice. For the mains I had the beef curry which was lovely. The beef tasted very fresh so you knew it hadn't just been cooked earlier and then reheated. The portion was just right with plenty of meat in the curry unlike some places. My girlfriend had beef with green pepper and black bean sauce and she said that it was one of the nicest she had had. She was also impressed with the glass of white house wine she ordered. I stuck to the tiger beer. The price was also very good, 2 starters, 2 main courses, 4 sides, glass of wine and 2 beers all for 74 euro. Definitely be back
