Chez Max (Palace Street)
1 Palace Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

You have to go here even if it is just to sample the Moules Frites - easily the best I've had outside France. Food, service and ambience is always fantastic in here. The one downside is that due to its size(which helps maintain the great atmosphere) can feel a little cramped on a busy night.

Milano (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

This is my favourite of all the Milano's. The atmosphere is always good, lively, buzzy. Service as always was excellent and they were very accomodating when I wanted to substitute toppings. A great pit-stop pre-cinema/theatre or great for a catch up adfter a hard day's shopping!

ely gastro bar
Grand Canal Square, (Next to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre), Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Went here for lunch day last week. It was quite busy as were all the other lunch places around GCD. Waiting staff seemed quite frazzled. Service was very slow. Repeatedly had to ask what stage order was at and had to request bill three times.

Il Primo
16 Montague Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Il Primo is a great find tucked away between Camden Street and Harcourt Street. As always, food and service were exceptional.
