This restaurant has new owners for about a year - since then the atmosphere service and food have really improved. There were five us at the table. We all had starters and main meals. All we could do was compliment everything. All the food was excellent. Staff were on hand if we needed anything but did not keep coming to the table. We were given plenty of time between courses. I would recommend this Chinese for a good night to everyone

Red Torch Ginger
14/ 15 Andrew Street , Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We had a table for five people to celebrate a Graduation. First time at this restaurant. We all had starters and main meals and a few cocktails. Lovely place and relaxed atmosphere. Food was really good but found it to be a bit expensive for what we got. This would not stop me going back

A regular visitor from Dublin to Moira and have eaten a few times here. Yet again no complaints !. Good staff and good atmosphere. This place is always busy. The four of us had a fantastic meal and will be back. Spent time At the bar after discussing all the different types of vodka etc that were on display . Very friendly !!. This restaurant has to be tried if you ever visit Moira !!!!!

Neon Asian Street Food
17 Camden Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

In town for a few drinks and three of us decided to try Neon. Will definitely go again. Great atmosphere. Very busy. Liked the use of the long tables. Sitting beside Scottish tourists who loved the place. Food was really good. All dishes cooked to order and service was quick and efficient. Not sure about having to go to the counter , order and pay before getting the food but other that thAt it was really good.

F.X. BUCKLEY Steakhouse Pembroke Street
1A Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

What a restaurant. Had table for three to celebrate a birthday. We had starters of the kidneys and the scallops - wanted more !!. Two had rump steaks and one went for fillet. All three were cooked exactly the way we asked for. Beautiful. Side orders of fries, onions, and three different sauces. There was nothing left on the plates. The food was excellent. Staff were top notch- very attentive but not overboard. Very relaxed atmosphere . Arrived at 8.45pm and didn't leave till 11.30 pm . Highly recommend the restaurant

Koh
6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin

We had booked a table for a large group on a Christmas night out. We had a great night at this restaurant. The staff were very attentive from the moment we arrived. All of the food was excellent and from the starters through to the deserts. One of the managers asked us if we would mind moving to the bar area and he made sure that we had an area together which was a nice touch. The restaurant and the bar were very busy but I really liked the place. I will definitely be back to eat again in The New Year. Keep up the good work

Wongs of Castleknock
Ashleigh Centre, Main Street, Dublin 15, Castleknock, Dublin

We had a table for two at about 9.30pm. There were only three other table taken. The place was cold so thankfully we got to sit beside a heater. There was no atmosphere at all and the staff were not good at all. After a while we were asked what we would like to drink and we ordered wine. I had to go and look for a waiter to come and take our food order !. For an empty restaurant, the food took ages to come out to us. I will say that both the starts and the main dishes were very good and were totally finished. After we finished our main meals we were left with a table of dishes for at least 15 minutes. yet again I had to go and get someone to try and get the bill. When the waitress came back she just gave me the bill and still left the dishes!!. She then came back and took away the wind bucket - she never checked if we were finished the wine. When I called her to pay she then proceeded to take the dishes . This is a terrible restaurant for atmosphere and service from the staff. Do not eat here - spend your hard earned cash in a restaurant that will appreciate your custom !!!!!!!

Tigers - Closed
35 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Tried this restaurant a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday night. Booked a table for 9pm. I was surprised to see only two more table taken. The premises was cold. there was no atmosphere at all. On the up side the food was good - portions were a bit small for the price and needed a bit more spice. The staff gave the impression that hey were all new as they really had no idea how to serve at a table but they were friendly. I ate at this restaurant many times when it was Tiger Becs. They have a long way to go to try and get it back to the old standards. i wont be rushing back.

Thai Spice
3A Talbot Place, Dublin 1 , City Centre North, Dublin

This restaurant was recommended to us by friends who eat here on a regular basis. We decided to go for the meal for two deal which was starter, main course and bottle of wine - € 40 for the two of us This a great deal. The staff are friendly and efficient. There is a nice laid back feel to the restaurant. We thought the portions might be small for this price but we were wrong !. There was a good choice on the menu and the portions were good. Both the starters and main courses were excellent and the white wine was cold. For this price you cannot go wrong and i will be back here very soon again.

Donnelly's of Barna
Barna, Barna, Galway

We were staying in Bearna overnight to celebrate my wifes birthday. This is an area we have been coming to for years and was a great chhence to eat in Donnollys. We wer both disappointed !. We arrived about 8.45pm and found a table. There was no atmosphere in the pub - instead everyone seemed to be lookingg at us when we came as if we were intruding on a sacred place !!!!. We ordered crab claws between us to start and they were out to our table in about 3/4 mins -this was a bit too quick. For main meals my Wife ordered seafood salad and I went for the fillet steak to be cooked medium to well done. When one waiter took away the crab claws another waiter put my steak straight in front of me. A cold salad can be quick but This steak was terrible - it was far too quick to the table - must have been itting in the oven. it was awful. Like a piece of rubber. The mushrooms and onions on the plate were not freshly cooked - no taste. After a few triess I gave up and left it there. The seafood salad didi not look like it was freashly prepared. made up earlier to try and save time. This will be the last time I eat in this pub and got more satisfaction from my sandwich which I had in the hotel across the road afterwards

Nandos (Dundrum)
Sandyford Road, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

My Daughter finally persuaded me to eat at Nandos. This was different but enjoyable. We had the menu explained to us first - decided what we wanted and went to the counter ourselves and paid for the food first !!!. You need to be into spicy food and we were. I went hot chicken with all the spices and it was good. This is not the sort of restaurant to sit back and relax but still enjoyable. The free refills on soft drinks is a real added bonus. Worth trying all round.

Castello Bruno
Main Street, Castleknock Village, Dublin 15, Castleknock, Dublin

We arrived at the restaurant around 7pm on Fathers Day. There were three of us and we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table which was fine. There was a relaxed atmosphere that evening and were brought menus straight away. All of the food was very good from the starters to the main meals which were all pizzas. Peroni beer on draught was an addes bonus !. The only down point was that the service was a bit on the slow side even when trying to pay the bill. I will still be back with my family soon again.

Royal Villa Chinese Restaurant (Oranmore)
2nd Floor, Castle Court, Castle Road, Oranmore, Galway

We were in Oranmore for a quick weekend break and decided to try The Royal Villa chinese. The three of us had a table booked for 9pm and were very pleased with everything. The tables are well laid out so you have plenty of room and the staff were helpful but not overpowering. All the dishes we ordered were excellent form the meat sung to start to the sizziling dishes. The sizzling dish which a combination of prawn, chicken and beef was a great idea and tasted great. Overall I thought this restaurant had a nice relaxed atmosphere and was value for money. We all agreed to try and get back there again soon

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I was out celebrate my birthday and Wedding anniversary on the one night and we took a chance and booked Brasserie Sixty6. What a great decision - everything was excellent. Scallps to start with Surf n tTurf to follow. The plates were all clear which is a great sign. All the staff were very attentive - but not in youf all the time ! I would recommend ths restaurant to anyone if they want a good night out - and reasonably priced as well.

Siam Thai (Andrews Street)
14/15 Andrews Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I have only good things to say about Siam Thai. This was our first visit and everything went well. The staff were great but not overpowering. Lovely selection of wines. fantastic food - prawns were really good. We had a table for four and we all agreed that it was value for money and will be back again.

Il Segreto
13a/b Merrion Row, City Centre South, Dublin

What a waste of a night !. We had a table for eight people which was perfect - but that is where it ends. The starters were miserable- and we had to ask for everything as he kept forgetting the bread etc - when it did come it tasted straight from a packet and not freshly baked as on the menu. We also had the discomfort of the waiter dropping a starter of seafood chowder over one of party - not great !! The main courses took forever to get to us and again we had to keep asking for the veg and potatoes !!. No one thought that the dinners were very good. The ice cream I asked for was so small that I had to look twice in case I missed it on the plate. There was nothing good at all on the night - and the restaurant gave us a couple of bottle of wine free after the mishap with the chowder. This is an expensive restaurant and unless they improve greatly I cannot see surviving very long.

The Muskerry Arms (Restaurant)
Blarney, Blarney, Cork

Down in Blarney for a few days hols and called in to The Muskerry Arms. Very friendly pub/ restaurant. We were a party of four and all the dishes were really good from the Big bacon burger to the pasta dishes - nothing left. We also ordered two extra sides of chips and the were gone in no time !! Service was excellent. We had two glasses of wine and a total of six soft drinks on the bill as well and it all came to €92. really good value. try this place whenever in Blarney

The Carpenter
Carpenterstown Road, Castleknock, Dublin

This pub is in great spot for many people who only have to walk and leave the car at home. The atmosphere here is really good and the barmen are excellent-they make every customer feel important. The food does not live up to the same quality. Most dishes from chicken to beef or lasagne feel like they are half cooked and heated up when ordered. The menu is in need of a major change or thay will lose food business at night. day time food is really good. I live near this establishment for years and if the night menu was better, more people will eat here.

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Cant fault Toscana anywhere !. Called in at 9.30pm on a Saturday with no booking.Nothing was a problem- we were looked after with a table in 5minutes. We both had starters. Main dishes of Tiger prawns and medallions of beef-Both were excellent. We had two bottle of the house white wine which was lovely and cold. Staff , food and atmosphere all great which added to a very good night in town. I will be back and hope a lot more people try Toscana as well

9 High Street Killarney, Killarney, Kerry

I ate in Robertino's a few years ago and was back in killarney working so decided to give a try again. no complaints at all. The atmosphere was infomal and relaxed. I had a nice table to myself and the service was good. Despite a large selection on the menu,I had a pizza which was really good. Hopefully I will get back to this restaurant sometime soon.

Milano (Baggot Street)
1 - 2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, City Centre South, Dublin

A nice bright restaurant with friendly staff. We had a table for four around 7pm. There is a good choice on the menu for everyone and we ordered three different pizzas and a warm chicken salad. The food was very enjoyable with four empty plates left. Well worth a visit

Murphy's Bar & Squires Pub
College Street, Killarney, Killarney, Kerry

Working in Killarney at a conference. Murphys was near our hotel and we decided to give it a try. We both had steak and it was cooked just the way we wanted it. Even though it was a quiet time of the year, there was a goog friendly atmosphere in the pub. Check out Murphy's anytime you are in Killarney

Bunratty Inn
Main Street, Schull, Cork

I was working in West Cork and spotted the Bunratty Inn while walking in Schull. There were people eating outside and the menu looked good. I had the burgers with chips which also came with a selection of veg. Both the main course and side orders were really good. The relaxed atmosphere of the place helped as i was on my own. Service was very good and if I ever get the chance to be in Schull again, this is one place I will be calling in to for dinner. Top marks.

Kites
15/17 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

We arrived looking for a table for two with no reservation about 9.30pm. The staff were more than helpful and we were shown to a lovely window table. I have been coming to Kites for a number of years and yet again was not disappointed. Great starters and main dishes of prawns and chicken were top class. If you want to try a fantastic Chinese then go to Kites - no matter how far you have to travel, you will have a lovely night

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse & Grill
51 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

This was a special night as we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We knew from th minute we walked in , it was going to be a great night - fantastic atmosphere-the place was buzzing !! The service was excellent and not overpowering. The food we ordered was cooked to perfection - great starters and fab steaks which we both had. The Champagne set the night off beautifully and there was no rush in leaving. Topped the night off with lovely coffee. We arrived at 9.30pm and did'nt leave until 12.30am. One of the best reataurants around at the moment.

Ming Court Chinese Restaurant
Unit 453 Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Blanchardstown, Dublin

We had a table for four about 7.30pm. The restaurant was pretty quiet. The starter of spring rolls were not good at all and were sent back. The waiter changed them for soup and was apolgetic. All of the other dishes were very good especially the salt and chillie prawns. It may not be the most amazing Chinese in the world, but overall we were well looked after and will be back again

Chez Max (Baggot Street)
133 Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Chez Max in Baggot St. is just as good as its restaurant in Palace Street. We had a table for eight people and we had nothing but praise for the night we had. The menu suited each one of us and from the starters to the deserts it went down a treat. The service was top class and we were under no pressure to leave. Make sure you give this restaurant a try.

De Brúns
Ashleigh Centre, Main Street, Castleknock, Dublin

I am always open to trying new restaurants and in this case I sorry I did. We had a table for four and from the moment we arrived I was wondering why it was so quiet-There were about 8/9 table taken and there was no atmosphere at all. The restaurant was cold which didnt help. The food was no help-each one of us commented on the poor quality of the dishes. The food was barely warm and the portions were miserable. I left most of my steak due to the amount of fat in it !!. This has to be the quickest visit to a restaurant we have had as we could not wait to get away to get warm !!! McDonalds would have been better value. Avoid this place at all costs.

La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

This was our first time in this restaurant(table for two ) and most definitely will be back. Everything about it was great. The service we got from start to finish made us feel really welcome. The food was top class with a great choice on the menu. The bill at the end of the night proved to be really good value. Call to restaurant and be sure of a great evening !!!!!!
