Reviewed 24th September 2007 ( visited 18th September 2007 )Went here with a large group celebrating a birthday, it was quite nice I have to say. The salmon was cooked to perfection and melt in the mouth. The fact that you can watch the chefs through the glass cooking your meal adds a bit of fun to the occasion.
The Summit Inn
Howth Summit, Howth, Dublin
Ate here today, shared spicy wings(excellent), chippy chips, casear salad and the worst chowder ive ever had.It wasnt a chowder, twas more of a vegetable soup with a tin of salmon thrown in.Nice. Will eat here again though - the wings saved the day.
Carnegie Court Hotel, North Street, Swords, Swords, Dublin

Kennedys Food Store

Had a gorgeous meal here yesterday evening...the starters were huge!had the smoked haddock chowder and the others had the stuffed portobello mushroom -thumbs up all round..for main the seabass/meatballs and chicken bake all went down well and were topped off with a selection of very sweet desserts-which i couldnt finish (unfortunately!)So glad theres finally somewhere in the area that serves proper food at a great price in very a sophiscated atmosphere :)
Milano (Clarion Quay)
Unit 6, Excise Walk, Clarion Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre, IFSC, Dublin
Had a meal here last night and it was pretty bad.The waiter didnt seem to be on this planet and had a hard time realising when we were trying to grab is attention. When we asked for salt we were given 'rock salt for grinding' which is defo not suitable for normal use so we had to forget the salting (probably a good thing). Food was dryed out and over done.

The early bird is incredibly good value, and you wont go away hungry! The poppadoms with dips are a great touch and hit the spot before the meal. Will most definitely be returning.

137 Rathmines Road, Dublin 6 , South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin
Couldn't wait to try this place after hearing a lot of good reviews...however the over cramped canteen style table/bench really put me off. After we ordered we had lots of room and were trying to have a conversation over the loud (but good) music. When a queue began to form for tables, one of waitresses asked us to move up the bench so 'she could fit another few in'..now seriously we were all elbows to elbows and when our burgers arrived I felt like I was being gawked at the whole time I was trying to eat it (gracefully - not possible) and it just made me feel quite uncomfortable. Sweet potato fries were excellent, but the burger wasn't the may west, probably go for the wrap next time instead of the over sized bun. Will defo give it another shot...
Chez Max (Palace Street)

The Chili Club
Anne's Lane, South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Had a meal here a while back. I was expecting to be blown away from reading other reviews, but sadly it was a bit of let-down. Noodles were over cooked and the waitress gave about 5 of us the wrong meal. Might go back someday and give it another chance though.
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
Had the steak fajitas here, nice enough, the meat was however a bit too chewy for my liking. All washed down with a chilled few coronas - nice.
Unit 19 Epicurean Food Hall, Liffey Street Lower, City Centre North, Dublin
Best hangover food ever!!!! The enchiladas are to die for and the freshly made guacamole is spot on, worth a visit after your finished hitting the shops!
The Cedar Tree
11a St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
The food is amazing. The menu is quite varied and interesting. For starters I had falafel, which was nice, if not a wee bit dry. The mains were both gorgeous and very filling. The only complaint was that we got served all courses so quickly we still had a full bottle of wine to finish after we had eaten everything and felt kinda rushed. Otherwise though, I would recommend this place.
