Used my menupages voucher here yesterday, 4 courses for 2 people, 35 Euro. I had the fishcakes to start, he had the gratin seafood, both delicious. I had the salmon for main and himself ordered the pork belly, they were both fantastic, think I would go for the pork belly the next time. I had the chocolate tart for dessert which was so rich and chocolatey, you'd have to be a chocolate lover to go for this one. He had knickerbocker glory, also lovely. Service is excellent, place was buzzing, every table busy. Highly recommend this restaurant, food is second to none.

Went here for lunch on Wednesday, they have a new lunch menu, starting at 5 Euro for a homemade soup and sandwich, which we both had, and it was delicious. Service is excellent as always, fantastic value. Highly recommend this place!

Fade Street Social - The GastroBar
4-6 Fade Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Four of us went here on Friday night. The food is delicious, everything we tried was so tasty. Really loved the skinny chips and the lobster roll. The portions were a bit on the small side though. The desserts fab too, chocolate mousse and banoffee. Great atmosphere, just a bit too noisy at times. Service wasn't fantastic either but it was very busy in the restaurant. Will return.

Bistro 53
Main St, Maynooth, Maynooth, Kildare

Two of us went here lastnight. Restaurant was full, guy playing guitar and singing, great atmosphere. Food was delicious, I had prawns and rib eye steak, hubby had black pudding starter and seafood platter. Plenty of delicious food, Service was excellent, the waiter brought down a free glass of white wine for hubby having his seafood. Then he gave me a glass of proscco, also free. At the end of the night when we had paid, the waiter gave us both a shot of sambuca. Will definately return.

The Green Hen
33 Exchequer street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here with a few friends, We all had the early bird option, 3 courses for 22Euro. 3 of us had different starters and they were all delicous. We all had chicken for dinner and it was so tasty, loved the basil mash. The cheesecake we had for dessert wasn't the best I have ever had, but it was fine. Will definately return. Great service and fantastic value for money.

Went here with a friend. Great deal on, two courses for 16 Euro. Had the fishcakes to start, delicious. Had the korma for main, was nice, nothing fantastic. My friend had the steak, and she liked it. Dessert only 2.95. The place was packed, good atmosphere. The girls who work here are fantastic, could not do enough for us, great customer service.

Went here on Friday, 2 adults and 3 kids. The kids had the kids menu, dinner, drink and ice cream, for 5.95, their food was delicious and plenty of it. We had the 2 course dinner and cinema ticket deal, which was 19.95 each, bargain. I had the prawns to start (2 euro sup charge) and the burger for mains, delicious. Hubby had the mushrooms and the steak sandwich for mains. Food was delicious. Highly recommend this place, fantastic value!

Thunder Road Cafe
Fleet Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here on Sunday with 3 kids. Had made a reservation during the week, when we got there they did not have any booking for us, so we had to wait an hour for a table, nightmare with 3 kids. The staff seemed very stressed, the place was jam packed, probably because of the flightfest that was on in town. When we got our seats I asked a couple of times for some water, and eventually it came. Kids loved their food, chicken nuggets, and pasta with tomato sauce. I had the burrito, it was ok, tasted like something out of a packet. Hubby had the ribs which were dry and the chicken wings which were lovely. We had a voucher to use so only had to add a couple of euro to pay the bill. The music was blaring and the staff not very friendly and looked hassled/stressed. Won't return here.

Alvito's Restaurant
Captains View, Captains Hill, Leixlip, Kildare

Went here Bank Holiday Monday, the restaurant was really quiet and the music was a little loud. We used our menupages deal, 3 courses for 2 people. I had prawns in tomato sauce for starter, delicious. Then chicken lasagne for dinner, so tasty. My hubby had mini lamb burgers for starter and pork escalope for dinner, both delicious. Kids had the childrens meals, 10.95 for 3 courses incl drink, still a bit pricey for kids I think. The staff were super, very friendly and attentive. We could not eat all our food so the waitress offered to put the leftovers into a box to bring home. Desserts were delicious too. Would highly recommend this restaurant, and will definately return.

Milano (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Went here Fathers Day with the children. Kids all had the childrens menu, garlic doughballs, pizza or pasta, dessert and babycino. Kids meals are great value. We had a pizza each, both delicious. However, bit expensive, 15euro for a pizza is a bit much. We also had their cup of coffee and small dessert which is 5.25 I think each, so that's good value. Staff very friendly and attentive, restaurant was buzzing, food delicious, just think it's a bit too expenvise.

Picaderos Restaurant
Desmond House, Main Street, Maynooth, Kildare

Went here lastnight, lovely atmosphere, really cosy. The girl who approached us asked if we had a table booked, we hadn't, and she just walked away leaving us standing there. Then a man came over and showed us a table. Had a lovely carafe of red house wine, himself had a beer. We had tapas, 5 or 6 of them. The prawns were very disappointing, thought the mixed platter wasn't great either, no mixed spicy olives, we were left short the crackers and grapes for another tapas dish. This is the second time we've been here and the food is just ok. Service not fantastic either. And the bill was €71.00, thought it was a bit steep. Would not be in a hurry to return here.

Twist Cafe
1 Fagans Lane, Maynooth, Kildare

Are here lastnight with a gang of people. We were the only people in the restaurant. The table was not big enough and after standing round for a bit we moved tables ourselves to sit down together. The service wasn't great. Food was ok, but overpriced. Restaurant was freezing and we said it to them several times. Not impressed.

Zest Cafe
Unit 6/7, Clane Shopping Centre, Clane, Kildare

Went here for brunch today. First time ever going to this restaurant. It was absolutely freezing inside, we sat with our coats on the whole time. I had eggs benedict, they were delicious. Son had pizza, it was nice, but the base was unsual, not sure if it was puff pastry or what, but it tasted ok, he ate it all. Daughter had fish and chips and it was delicious. Hubby had smoked salmon bagel, he said it was fine, but nothing great really. Overall it was a success, the staff were very friendly. I did tell the girl that it was very cold and she told me she was having problems with the air conditioning... I will return.

Four of us went in here on a Friday evening, place was full and great atmosphere. Guy playing guitar, great to have a bit of live music. We had a booking and the rest of the tables were full. Starters were delicious, nachos and a combination platter. Then I had the chicken Lanzarote, which was ok, chicken with a creamy sauce that had a hint of curry powder from it. Himself had lamb shank, said it was ok, but nothing special. One friend had paella, that was delicious. Other friend had a burritto and said it was alright. Desserts were awful, i had churros, very greasy and the sauce was tasteless. Two of the others had the creme brulee, and it was horrible, tasted like rice pudding. The two of these were left and when the waiter cleaned the table I was sure he would ask why they were not eaten but he didn't.Not great service.

Pacifico Restaurant & Grill
Marine Court, The Green, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

Went here with my hubby and 3 kids, we used our menupages voucher. We went about 4 o;clock in the day. The restaurant was very quiet, only 2 other tables had customers at them. We started with cocktails, part of our voucher, and they were delicious. Then we shared nachos and prawns, both delicious. We had to wait a long time for our mains, about 45 mins, and the kids were getting fed up. The kids chicken was lovely but the fish was just frozen fish fingers. I had the pork, and it was awful, very tough and too salty. My hubby had tequila chicken and it was very nice. We had desserts, mango and lime pie for me, didn't like it. He had the milk pudding and it was quite nice. I had been here before and the food was much nicer. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. Good value though even if my main was inedible. Service very slow,

Avenue Cafe & Restaurant
Main Street, Maynooth, Kildare

Went here with my hubby last week. The restaurant was quite busy for midweek and there was a good atmosphere. There were no deals on, which I was surprised by. We shared the tortilla chips to start, which were awful. The yellow melted thing poured on them was certainly no relation to cheese, the guacamole was awful too. Anyway, himself ate them because he was starving. We had the surf and turf, which was rib eye steak, we both had it and asked for it done medium. It was very rare, but still we ate it and it was delicious. This came with chunky chips which were not really nice, more like potatoes cut in half and deep fried, and a few rings of calamari and some prawns which were very tasty. Steak was delicious, but i would have liked some veg on the side. I had brownie for dessert and it wasn't nice, like something shop bought. Himself had creme brulee and there was a funny aftertaste off it. I would not be in a hurry to return even though friends had recommended this place.

Casa Pasta (Clontarf)
55 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

Went here yesterday with a friend and our 4 children at lunch time. When we walked in the girl working there approached us and sighed, not a good sign. The restaurant was almost full and she had to move a couple of tables together to fit us in. Anyway, we were given their lunch menu, 10 euro for starter and main. We both had the bruschetta, which was delicious. I had the meatballs, and my friend had the chicken and broccoli bake, both really tasty and plenty of food. The children were given colouring books and pencils and they all had the kids meal, garlic bread, main dish and bowl of ice cream with choc sauce. The restaurant was buzzing. The service was a bit slow, but it was busy. I will definately return/

Noble House - Malahide Rd
Northern Cross, Malahide Road, Malahide, Dublin

Went here with a few girlfriends for dinner. The restaurant decor is lovely and the staff were very friendly. The food was ok, i had the yuk sung to start and it was nice, nothing great. For main I had prawn with hot garlic sauce, and it was just ok, very salty. I tried a few of the other dishes that my friends had and the best one was the roast pork with honey sauce. We did not have dessert.

Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here lastnight with some girlfriends. Great atmosphere, there was a guy playing guitar and singing. We had the Christmas menu which was 22.95 for 3 courses. I had the portobello mushroom which was delicious. For main I had the fillet steak which was delicious, served on mash potato with peppercorn sauce (sauce was a bit of a disappointment as it didn't really taste of anything. Also, we didn't get any side dish so just had the meat and the potato. We didn't have dessert. Overall, service was good, atmosphere was great, food was quite good, I would return for sure. Good value too.

Mao Restaurant (Chatham Row)
2-3 Chatham Row, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went into Mao's on Saturday about 5pm, 2 adults and 3 children. They have a Christmas menu, 20 Euro for 3 courses plus tea/coffee for the adults, and a childrens menu main course and ice cream was 6.95. The food was fantastic, both had prawns to start and hubby had Thai curry with prawns and i had Malaysian chicken with mushrooms, very tasty. The kids meals were delicious, chicken and noodles, 5 spice chicken, and lemon soul with rice and lovely plum sauce. Good atmosphere in the restaurant, it was packed. Good service. Definately will return.

The Tea Room Restaurant
The Clarence, 6-8 Wellington Quay, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here lastnight for a friends birthday, there was about 18 of us. Very small menu to choose from as it was a group booking. 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts. I had salmon for starter, a cold lump of salmon in the middle of the plate, a bit tasteless. For main I had lamb and it was awful, very very fatty and chewy, not nice at all. The side dishes which we ordered were nice, mash, fries, salad, green beans. Dessert for me was brulee, disappointing, tiny little dessert, not much taste. A few others had the lamb and theirs was fatty too, but we didn't complain as it was a birthday so didn't want to spoil it. Service was very good. I would not return to this restaurant and would not recommend it. Overpriced and food is not nice at all.

Peploes Wine Bistro
16 St Stephen's Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

Went here with my hubby yesterday evening, we had the pre theatre menu, 25 Euro a head for 3 courses. I had the bruschetta and he had the gnocci, both delicious. I had fish for main, and he had chicken. Both were delicious and came with veg and mashed potato. Plenty of food. Hubby had the cheese to finish, said it was a little tasteless but I think that was the type of cheese. I had chocolate mousse, and it was the nicest I have ever had. Service was very good and nice atmosphere. Restaurant was full, and we had passed several emtpy restaurants on the way. Would highly recommend this restaurant, the food is fab. Definately visit again and the pre theatre menu is excellent value for money.

Olive Garden Italian Restuarant
Main Street, Ratoath, Meath

Went into this restaurant today with my 3 children. The decor is lovely and cosy, all done up for Christmas and the lighting is gorgeous. The staff are excellent, very friendly and attentive. We had the early bird menu, 10 euro for choice of starter and main course, the kids meals were FREE! I had bruschetta and lasagna, both lovely, the end of my lasagna was a bit burned but i still ate it. Hubby had garlic bread with cheese and penne arabiatta, he said it was nice but way too much chilli in it. Kids food was lovely too and they got a free scoup of ice cream with sauce. I had a glass of wine, hubby had a pint and one of our kids had a 7 up. Bill was 35 Euro in total, bargain. I will definately be back.

Beckett's
Cooldrinagh House, Leixlip, Kildare

Went here lastnight, there were 4 of us. Didn't think the menu was great, went for Goats cheese starter, was very tasty. Service was very slow, had to wait over an hour for dinner, the waitress apologised twice for the delay, she said the kitchen was very busy. Had Sea Bass for dinner, that was lovely. Veg very bland and boring. Didn't have dessert but tasted my friends chocolate mousse and it was tasteless. We were charged over 26 Euro service charge, madness. Would not return again. Food was good but overpriced. Service was very slow.

Farm Restaurant (Dawson Street)
3 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Went here on Sunday with a friend, we booked table for 6o'clock. I had a voucher to use for 4 course dinner and the menu given to us was an early bird. When I asked for the dinner menu the waitress told me it only starts at 7pm and she said 'you would have been told that when you made the booking' I told her I wasn't informed of that but i let it go anyway. It was my friends birthday so I didn't want to make a fuss. Not a great start. The service was a bit slow but the food was very good.
