Chez K's Restaurant at the Fitzwilton
The Fitzwilton Hotel, Bridge Street, Waterford City, Waterford
Cant fault the food here, had the burger which was fantastic and the chunky fries are just delicious!
Parnell Street, Waterford City, Waterford City, Waterford
I came here with a hen party last sat and found espresso very very average, we had a great night and staff were great but the food wouldnt make you yalk about it, I had mushrooms to start, the usual frozen version I would say, then chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce with chips & salad, the chips were very greasy like chipper chips and the salad existed of one lettuce leaf with a bit of grated carrot, I wouldnt go back here if i was in waterford again.
Finnegans Cellar Restaurant
17 Denny Street, Tralee, Kerry
This restaurant is a hidden gem, its a beautiful cellar restaurant with perfect ambiance and beautiful food, the medallians of beef just melt in your mouth, the staff were extremely friendly and we thought it was excellent value for money for such a high standard of food!

Cactus Jacks Galway
Courthouse Lane, Galway City, Galway
This place seems to have gone a bit downhill recently and slightly overpriced for tex mex! I find the dublin tallaght restaurant to be of a much higher standard though prices are still very high!
Langton House Hotel Kilkenny
69 John Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny
It can be hit and miss with langtons, its not great for a sunday afternoon as it gets very busy and service and quality deteriorates a bit, but if you go mid week its great food and great value for money! the menu is nice and varied too!

The hungry monk never fails to disappoint, great food and wine, only criticism is it can be a bit crowded downstairs but its worth it!

Pizza Hut (Dundrum)
Unit CSA, 2M Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin
Not impressed!!! haven't been to pizza hut in a long time, fancied some nice quality pizza and good service, which we did not get, our waitress was very lovely and pleasant but obviously very busy, our 2 pizzas were ready and put out on the table to be collected by the waitress, they sat up there for practically 10 mins with every waiter waitress passing but no one taking them, we couldn't get anyone's attention, when our waiters finally brought them down they were cold, we were in a hurry so didnt have time to send them back and couldn't get anyone's attention anyway, so we ate some of our food and then i complained when i got a bill of 43 euro for 2 pizzas, 2 cokes and 1 fries, manager didn't even bother coming to talk to us just took 10 euro off the bill, i will certainly not be returning, the pizza were not even of great standard.
6a Sandymount Green, Sandymount, Dublin
Itsa rip off is what it should be called, myself and 2 friends decided to drive out to sandymount as the Dun laoghaire Itsa bagel was closed for renovations, ok so our impression was a snooty waitor asking did we have a reservation? for 12 on a suinday when there was hardly anyone there???? then we realised hey dont do bagels so decided to go for one of their brunch options instead, we got the lunch brushcetta, it took about 45 minutes to come out and when it did it was a soggy piece of bread with a chicken breast ,a cremated rock hard rasher and so much pesto that is all you could taste, it also never mentioned any pesto on the menu or else i would not have gotten it, oh and I was charged 17 euro for the pleasure, minus a drink!!! We would definitely not return, can't belive its owned by the same people as dun laoghaire one!
53 Dame Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin
We went here for a friend of mine's birthday, you can't fault the atmosphere, its cosy, if not a little squashed, with a musician playing the piano, which creates a lovely scene, the service was a lot less than desired, we practically had to jump up and down to order some wine, then they mixed up the foof, my friend ordered a well done steak and it came out rare, she sent it back and by the time it came back everyone else had finished their meal so she this completely spoilt her meal, the steak was taken off the bill but overall I had expected a lot more from this restaurant!
Rochestown Lodge Hotel
Rochestown Avenue, South Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
This is nice pub grub, decent sized portions and lots of variet on the menu, perfect for a saturady or sunday afternoon! the chicken goujans are yum!
1st Floor 26b Nutgrove Shopping Centre, South Dublin, Rathfarnham, Dublin
We got this as take away on Saturday night and it was gorgeous, we went for the set menu for 2 which gives you a variety of starters, you can pick the 2 mains, you get a veg side dish, 2 rice and naan, it was way too much food for 2 people but a bargain at 29.95!!! Al of the food was excellent quality, if you fancy a big feed give it a try!
Chi Asian Restaurant
9 Georges Avenue, Blackrock, Dublin
This is a hidden little gem in blackrock, not often noticed as its up the side street but its a lovely restaurant with quality fresh food and lovely service, I've never been in the evening but have often gone for lunch and never been disappointed!
Toscana (Dun Laoghaire)
5 Windsor Terrace, South Co. Dublin , Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
I don't know how people are critizing the staff they are what makes the place, the staff are always so friendly and helpful, especially for big groups or special occassions, the food is always delicious and well prepared, the suppli starter is gorgeous and the steak entrecote pasta is devine!
The Stillorgan Orchard
1 The Hill, Stillorgan, Stillorgan, Dublin
This is one of the nicer pubs in stillorgan, its a lovely lunchtime fave, the goats cheese salag is so tasty and their homemade stews and curries really are a nice winter lunchtime treat, I do find some of the lunch dishes a bit pricey but it is good wholesome food and the service is always fab, the only downside is what everyone else has said...the parking!
The Leopardstown Inn
Brewery Road, Stillorgan, Dublin
I'm sure what this place is like in the evening but for lunch its not a bad spot, mainly just carvery and sandwiches, no menu as such but the portions are big and its reasonably priced and they'll make a salad or wrap for you if required!
Fillies Bar & Restaurant
Leopardstown Racecourse, Leopardstown, Dublin
This place is pretty mediocre, have been for lunch a few times, its always fairly packed so the waiting staff are always riun off thier feet, the wedges are pretty yummy, but last time I was there we both ordered the goats cheese salad which is described on the menu as having baby spinach leaves and sun dried tomatos, neither of which were in it, it was mainly just iceberg lettuce, carrots, peppers and a wheel of goats cheese, totally different from the menu! If you fancy a panini and chips nothing too fancy its an ok spot for lunch.
The Beacon Hotel, Beacon Court, Dublin 18, Sandyford, Dublin
This place is a bit unusual for a thai restaurant but the food was very nice indeed, the nasi goreng was delicious and a perfect sized portion for lunch, it also has many european salads & sandwiches on the menu which is good for variety if everyone doesn't fancy thai! I diid find it quite expensive for lunch as most thai dishes were €15, but other than that I wouldn't find any fault. the menu listed here must be the evening menu as the lunch one is quite small.
TGI Friday (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin
This is a glorified fast food joint which is completely overpriced, the food is ok, very average, but its just fast food, burgers, chips the odd tex mex option and the average meal is about 50 for 2, iotys a complete rip off, go to burger king or mcdonalds instead!
Dundrum Town Centre Dundrum, Dundrum, Dublin
Oh why didn't I listen to the previous bad reviews, this place is a dive! I cant believe there were so many people there on a Saturday afternoon, the waitress who showed us to our table was extremely rude and uninterested and when we wanted to move table so my boyfriend could see the match she put us in the worst spot ever claiming all other seats were reserved, yet there was no signs on them. I ordered the Tuscan chicken which was greasy & tasteless, the so called roasted veg were practically raw and also tasteless, my partner had the smothered chicken which was also smothered in grease, overall it was disgusting and we only ate half of it, when it came to the bill it was 40 odd euro for 2 horrible mains & 2 cokes, I have nothing good to say about this place only avoid!!!
Mao Restaurant (Dun Laoghaire)
The Pavillion, South Co, Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
I love mao, the food is so fresh and tasty, they do a lovely lunch m,enu and dinner menu, although it has gotten very pricey over the past few years it is very nice food and their dishes are quite unusual! Its also very versatile in the fact that they can make your meal wheat free etc so its very suitable for people with dietary issues, they also do a range of low fat and lots of vegetarain dishes! I'll never tire of mao!
Unit 4 Tallaght Retail Park, West Dublin, Tallaght, Dublin
I haven't actually eaten in the restaurant but we get take away from here a lot and it's gorgeous, i tried the tandoori chiken makhani last night and it's delicious! The food is also very tasty and its quite reasonably priced for an indian, we had two mains, a rice side, a naan and chips for €23! the restaurant also looks lovely but considering I know what the food is like I'll definitley give it a try!
Brady's Pub, Shankill, Shankill, Dublin
I used to love the food from this place as a take away and restaurant when I lived in the area 2 years ago but I have since gone back for a meal and it has gone downhill in a big way. The starters were basically all fried or battered, It described it on the menu as prawns in a light batter but it was completely grease soaked, the same with the cod pieces, they were like fish nuggets and all greasy again. Mains were nothing to write home about either and the price was quite steep, whatever you's have changed, please go back to the way you were!!
Bits and Pizzas
15 Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
I love this restaurant, it does excatly what it says on the tin..nice pizza! The bbq pizza is grogous and the salads are really nice too, it's a great little place to go for a well priced meal out.
Unit 4 Old River House, Templeogue, Dublin
The food in this place is gorgeous, a lovely simple Italian, although the restaurant itself can be very noisy and the last time we ate there the staff were extremely inattentive. I had to ask 3 separate waiters for a glass of water and it wasn't that busy. The same with coming back to you to order, they give you the menus and then no sign of them coming back to take your order. I would go back to this place because of the food but my boyfriend said the lack of service has put him off completely.
81 Terenure Road North, South Dublin, Terenure, Dublin
I came to this restaurant based on the below reviews and maybe we went on an off night but we were extremely unimpressed. The staff were inattentive and only catering for a big group that was in. I practically had to dance on the table to order a drink and food. The portion sizes were tiny and completely overpriced. I ordered lasagne which had hardly any meat in it but tonnes of slices of hard boiled egg. Now maybe this is traditional lasagne and I am naive, but a bit of warning would have been nice that the lasagne consisted of pasta and egg. I couldn’t even eat it. You also have to order a side dish separate to the main meals which is ridiculous considering the prices. You expect potatoes or salad to come with a chicken breast...not in Lisa's!
103 Terenure Road East, Dublin 6, Terenure, Dublin
We visited here last Saturday night around 6.00pm, even though it was quite busy they seemed to be very short staffed, I even overheard a customer asking one of the waiters if they had space for 6 and she rudely answered 'don’t know haven’t started work yet'. Our starters bruschetta and a prawn salad were soaked in oil they were so greasy they were practically inedible, mains of veg pasta wasn’t too bad but my boyfriend had the medallions of beef, two tiny portions of beef with sauce covering half the plate, both meals looked like they were just slopped together. When we ordered a coke to drink, they were pouring them out of a 2 litre bottle in the fridge and it was practically flat, at least in most restaurants you would get a fresh little bottle. Value for money would have been good if the food was up to scratch, I would not be returning here.
