It was my first time to come here, and I went with a friend. I would definitely come again. It is so easy to go to any Italian restaurant, with a bit of pasta, but this place is different. They have the pasta cooked to perfection, and I could tell good ingredients went into the sauce, not just some cream or cheese poured in, or sun dried tomato put in. Each of the ingredients had flavour, and it was just sooooo nice! The price was reasonable, and I loved the service. It was kind of slow service, but not too slow. We could really relax thanks to the lovely atmosphere, and gorgeous food and service. Staff were friendly, but not overly friendly. Just genuine.

I went for lunch with a friend. I was shown to a table swiftly and service was prompt as well and ordered bulgogi bibimbap. It was exactly as it should be, and I enjoyed it. I stayed after finishing my lunch. The staff left us alone ( in a nice way), and we had a nice relaxing chat before leaving. Had a lovely food and time.

Milano (Grand Canal Harbour)
Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

The super thin Pizza crust is my favourite and the small size dessert they do with any coffee is just perfect way to finish off my dinner. They are always friendly to families, and never had a bad pizza here. Quality control is good!

Sirocco's Italian Restaurant
Patrick Street, Tullamore, Offaly

I walked in with no reservation on a Saturday night around 7:30 with my husband and 2 children. I was greeted with a smile and shown a table straight away. The restaurant was nearly full, but not quite. The menu had good variety, and the staff couldn't have been nicer to my children. We all enjoyed our dinner, and left happy. My children had Caesar Salad from the children's menu, and I had tomato sauce pasta with chicken, bacon and pepper. It was just so nice. My husband had carbonara. I think my tomato sauce pasta was much nicer. We all had a main and dessert (No drinks), and the bill only came up to about 60 euro. Very reasonable. I liked the fact that the staff didn't keep on asking us if we wanted drinks. They asked at first, then they didn't bug us no more. I will definitely visit again if I find myself in the vicinity.

Hattons Cafe Bistro
at Hattons Pub, Garadice, Kilcock, Meath

I visited for dinner with my mother and 2 children. The place was empty as we were having an early dinner. The waitress couldn't have been nicer to my children, and the food was only gorgeous. For a restaurant in an isolated area, there is no laziness in the menu. I had Hake with risotto, which was very tasty, and served very nicely. Children picked a menu from the children's menu, which was very reasonable in price and generous in portion. My mother has small appetite, and only ordered a starter, but there was no face made by the waitress. She was so pleasant, and we have a lovely quiet dinner. More guests arrived as we were enjoying our dinner, which added to its atmosphere. Desserts were lovely, too. We had frozen cream and meringue with berries.

Da Vincis Restaurant (Leixlip)
Main Street, Leixlip, Kildare

I came with 2 kids as they remembered playing with pizza dough sometime ago. I think the idea of letting kids play with it while waiting on meals is original and great, however, the food is not so great. Pasta sauce is very salty, and ham/pancetta used is a bit plasticky. Doesn't taste great. Pizza is covered in too much cheese. It just comes across very cheap. As for service, when ordering I thought I was ordering from a set, but when asked for the bill, I found some items charged as extra. I felt I should have been told when placing order that the item I was ordering was not included in the set. I raised the matter with the staff, they admitted I should have been told at the time of order, but somehow only knocked off one item from the bill. For the sake of 50c, I thought customer should have come first for both to learn the lesson for next time.

Chai Yo
100 Lower Baggot street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I booked a table for 8 last Friday, and I have to say that we couldn't fault them. I was expecting small portions of food for the 17.50 euro 4 course menu, but the starter was generous portion, and main was normal. Food tasted good, and staff so friendly. There was great atmosphere in the restaurant. It was great value for money so close to city centre, yet ample FREE street parking right in front of the restaurant for after 6pm.
