Gorgeous restaurant with friendly staff. Good value for money considering the quality of food and the choices. Good selection on the menu. Highest standard of food I've had in this area of Cavan, There's an option to have lunch on Sunday's too which is good. Fabulous views of the lake and lovely modern restaurant. Such a hidden gem in a quiet area. Would definitely recommend it.

Lovely atmosphere and food...can be a bit expensive but worth it. The historic building adds to the atmosphere. Feels more upmarket than the prices reflect.

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Food was gorgeous and so reasonably priced. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are really friendly. Was really impressed with it and would definitely go back. Great selection on the menu and really quick service. As far as I could see they have a lot of return customers as the waiters knew them so definitely a good sign.

Nandos (Dundrum)
Sandyford Road, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

Don't like the idea of ordering of getting up to queue to order, get your own drinks, cutlery etc. The waiting staff don't do much, just deliver the food. Thought it was over priced for a chicken burger. I ordered the medium sauce and thought it was quite bland. Thought the chicken was dry and all in all a boring meal. Couldn't wait to finish it and get out. The portions weren't that big either. Very overpriced and overrated. Was expecting so much more from it. Staff not friendly either, not helpful and no interest in the customers. Wouldn't go back. Was still hungry when I left.

Jamie's Italian
Pembroke District, Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14 , Dundrum, Dublin

Was disappointed. Didn't really like the food...thought it was kind of boring and found it difficult to find something I liked on the menu. Thought the prices were high too for what we got. It was busy but the atmosphere felt rushed and like everyone was in a hurry to get us in and out. The desserts were ok but was disappointed by the chocolate brownie and thought it was also over priced. Always queues to get in which would put me off. Wouldn't go back again. Was so disappointed, expected more.

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Went during the week and was surprisingly busy. Thought the tables were a bit close together. The staff were lovely and friendly. The food was second to none, absolutely gorgeous. Value for money wasn't bad either on the set menu. Decor was simple but classy but thought the place was a bit chilly near the end of our meal. Had the fish and chips and the presentation was great and the dessert was delicious. Portions are big enough too...definitely wasn't hungry when leaving. Would visit again in a heartbeat.

Trocadero
St Andrew Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Been twice and loved the place. Staff are so friendly, helpful and attentive. Good value for money considering the status of the restaurant. Food was gorgeous both times I went and the desserts are to die for as are the vegetables, even for a non vegetable lover. Love the atmosphere and the photos of the famous people who went there. Love the plush velvet seating and mirrors. Feels like a special treat to go there. Just gorgeous, a must for foodies. Best meal I've had in a long time.

The Italian Corner
23/24 Wellington Quay, Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Lovely restaurant, staff not in your face which is nice and food was gorgeous. Nice views of the street so great for people watching. Was nice and quiet when we went. Bruschetta was gorgeous and the pizza was lovely if a bit cheesy. Was more expensive than I expected though although it was worth it. Would visit again, if just for the bruschetta and people watching.

Kinara Restaurant
318 Clontarf Road, North Co. Dublin , Clontarf, Dublin

Food is the nicest Indian food I've ever had. Lovely decor in restaurant and lovely Indian staff. Feels like going to India when you step inside. Vast menu and every dish is explained so you know what you're having. Had the tikka and it was gorgeous. The gulab jaman for dessert is lovely and not available in every Indian. Can be a bit expensive but to be expected for the quality of food. World class restaurant. A must for Indian lovers.

Little Sicily - Cavan
Newcourt Centre, Church Street, Cavan Town, Cavan

Friendly staff, lovely food and good value for money. Always have a starter and pasta or pizza. Service is quick enough. Can be busy at the weekends so booking would be advisable. Desserts are gorgeous too. Always play nice music and candles on table make for a romantic atmosphere. Good place to come as a couple or with family or friends. Have same issue as another reviewer with the worn menu, they could do with investing in some new ones. Otherwise a very nice and relaxing place to eat.

McMahon's Cafe Bar
Main Street, Cavan Town, Cavan

Lovely wraps and bagels. Speedy service and friendly staff. Good value for money and they have gorgeous desserts and freshly made juices and smoothies. Got the pizza before and wasn't that impressed to be honest..tasted more like a frozen pizza to me. Cocktails are nice and gets very busy at night time as turns into a late bar with a dj. Very noisy with nowhere to dance and can't have a conversation so quite confusing as to what to do. Spread out over 3 levels and the toilets are on the top which can be inconvenient if sitting down the bottom. Overall lovely during the day and for lunch.

Cavan Crystal Hotel
Dublin Road, Cavan Town, Cavan

Went for Sunday lunch and was lovely. Atmosphere was nice and quick service and good food. Staff not very friendly at all. Went for lunch during the week and was disappointed, food over overdone and typical pub food. Sunday lunch was much better. Value for money on the Sunday lunch was a lot better than for during the week and the prices for sandwiches are too much in my opinion. Good for Sunday lunch but would advise to book.

Ko's Chinese Restaurant
Main Street, Cavan Town, Cavan

Up 2 flights of stairs which may be an issue if stairs are a problem. Can be easy to miss if not looking out for it. Lovely staff, so friendly and chatty. Quick service and water and prawn crackers brought to the table as soon as you arrive. Gorgeous food, curry, sweet and sour chicken and duck pancakes. Good quality food and great decor and atmosphere for a Chinese restaurant. A lot better than I expected.

Spicy Hut Indian Restaurant
Main St, Cavan Town, Cavan

Having seen how quiet the restaurant is I've only ever have a take away. There's never anyone in the restaurant when I go so that puts me off. The naan bread, pilau rice and madras are lovely. Nicest curry I've had which was a surprise as wasn't expecting much. The poppudums are free of charge as are the dips. The service is quick enough, about 15 minutes for take away and the staff are alright. Overall a nice Indian take away.

The Oak Room Restaurant
Main Street, Cavan Town, Cavan

Had 3 course for €30 deal with a free glass of wine. I come here often as one of the best places to eat in Cavan. The duck spring roll was lovely as was the duck. Liked the garlic potatoes too. Desserts are gorgeous here too. Can be a little chilly and quiet sometimes. Service can be slow at times if there's a few people in. Staff can be stand-off-ish and quiet. Its up 2 flights of stairs so this could an issue if stairs are a problem as there doesn't seem to be any other access. The deal for €30 is the only menu available so this limits choice a bit. There's about 4 choices for mains and the same for starters and desserts although there are specials on the board. We got told to leave our table as it was needed when we weren't finished our tea which didn't impress. Overall the food is nice and the best quality in Cavan so worth a trip.

Broadway New York Eatery
Unit 6, Custom House Square IFSC, City Centre North, Dublin

Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, love the New York Broadway theme with the Playbills on the walls. Really good value for money. Pizzas are gorgeous and the penne arribiatta is one of my favourites. Good place to pop into if in the area. Definitely worth a go.
