The Bald Barista restaurant
Avalon House, 55 Aungier Street, City Centre South, Dublin, Area Code:
Reviewed 13th May 2008 ( visited 10th May 2008 )Just found this place recently, and have been for both breakfast and lunch. Both experiences were excellent - very good food - particularly the cous cous salad - good varied menu, pleasant staff & nice cosy setting
Mustard Gourmet Pizza & Burger Bar - Closed restaurant
1 Middle Street, Galway City, Galway
Reviewed 28th October 2008 ( visited 26th October 2008 )Arrived here on Saturday night in the rain and was pleasantly surprised to get a table straight away. For cheap & cheerful eats, you really can't go wrong. Started with chicken mini fillets, which were tasty but I reckon they came straight out of a packet. Mains were a fab chicken fajita pizza and a medicore falafel burger. To be honest you pretty much get what you pay for in this place, but would recommend it for a quick, cheap & tasty bite to eat...
Masterson's Steakhouse & Wine Bar
17 Main Street, Swords, Dublin
Yet again Mastersons fails to disappoint. Very good value for money, the chicken wing starter is just fab and the choice for both starters and main courses is immense. On this occasion I had the Mexican burger and it was yummy. I would definitely recommend.
47 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin
Great place for a cheap & cheerful lunch. Portions are generously sized and well presented. Menu has a good mix of wholesome seasonal choices. I had the clam chowder which was served with potatoes AND bread - maybe a little heavy but very tasty & filling. Recommended
Herald and Devoy
Osprey Hotel and Spa, Devoy Quarter, Naas, Kildare
I think this has to be the best all round dining experience ever! A friend and I had dinner here on Friday evening & I have to say from starters through to dessert the food was fantastic. The attention to detail on the presentation side perfected each course. The menu itself is well designed with something to suit all tastes and the added extras such as sorbet & petit fours compliments the delicious food. Staff are very friendly & efficient. Can't wait to return.
Jaipur Restaurant (Malahide)
5 St James's Terrace, Dublin 15, Malahide, Dublin
We were slightly dubious when we managed to secure a table in this restaurant at 4pm on New Years eve for a booking later that evening, and indeed when we did arrive I think it was a case of squeezing us in! However, the food was extremely good given the night that was in it & the staff were so friendly & on the ball & did offer us a round of drinks on the house to make up for a small wait we endured while they sorted out our table. I would defo be back on another occasion and would highly recommend
McCurtain Street, Fermoy, Cork
Perfect for a cheap & cheerful feed - other than that there is not a huge amount to say about this place! The food is very nice, but the lack of atmosphere or personality about this restaurant somewhat takes away from it! Maybe they they were a little short staffed the evening we ate there, but the mediocre service didn't exactly compliment the food, which was very tasty & of high standard
Little Caesars Palace Restaurant
1-3 Balfe Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Very disappointing. This restaurant should review its menu and adapt its pricing to reflect its offerings and the current climate. 5 of us dined here on Thur evening, and every dish was medicore, lacking both freshness and flavour. The pizzas and pasta are far from home made, and very much resemble meals from the chilled cabinet at the supermarket. Not recommended
15 Townyard Lane, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin
A delightful place, can't fault it. Great menu offering a diverse range of foods, all delicious and very well presented. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. WIthout a doubt we will be making a return visit.
The Red Bank House & Restaurant
5-7 Church Street, Skerries, Skerries, Dublin
This place is a real hidden gem - Lovely food, service and quality - but I really don't think that 150 euro plus for a meal for two can be justified in todays climate -not when compared to the exceptional value to be had in other eateries. I might be tempted back for the early bird which sounds like good value!
1 West Pier, Howth, Dublin 13, Howth, Dublin
Had the pleasure of sampling the special lunch menu at Aqua yesterday and couldn't fault it on every level. In terms of value for money 50.00 for 2 x starters, mains, desserts, coffee and house wine, who can complain? Food was fab, service fast & polite, the stunning views completed a fab experience
ely gastro bar
Grand Canal Square, (Next to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre), Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin
Pleasantly surprised with the value on offer in this restaurant. Portions are generous and very reasonably priced for the city centre. Our party of seven were under time pressure, which we notified the staff of, and they went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after and fed & watered within an hour! All in all a highly enjoyable visit, which will be repeated
Parlour Bar & Grill
The House Hotel, Spanish Parade, Galway City, Galway
This place has all the makings of a good restaurant, if they had the service to go with! The food was really good, but unfortunately half of the wine on the list was unavailable and they were out of some mains & desserts. For a bank holiday weekend and a restaurant that was fully booked, the staff should have been more informed and informative

Tried Koh for lunch, which was great. Staff were very friendly and the food was of exceptional value - with prices so cheap I am surprised the place wasn't packed. Unfortunatley our waiter seemed to forget about us once the main course was served, but with prices this cheap, i think you can turn a blind eye! Lovely decor and nice bar area... will be back again despite the service
Cape Greko (Malahide)
Unit 1 First Floor, New Street, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin
After reading such good reviews here about this place, I decided to give it a try on Tuesday evening. We arrived at 7.30pm without a booking, but were so well looked after! Got a great window table, and started with the starter platter to share - it was amazing! All so fresh, well prepared & presented. Mains were good too, although after the starter there wasn't much room left! Not bad value either, €110 for 2 Starters, 2 Mains, 1 Dessert, 2 Irish Coffees & a bottle of wine - not bad for Malahide & really great food & service!

7 The Green, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin
Fab new restaurant, ate here recently and took advantage of the early bird menu which offers excellent value. The food was great, portions a perfect size, and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant itself was a bit cold though, not great on a wet & windy evening
Strand Road, Portmarnock, Portmarnock, Dublin
A great cheap & cheerful place to get good steaks, pizza & pasta... staff are helpful & friendly & menu can be adapted to your tastes..... Can’t say much about the toilets tho!
