We dined here on a voucher for 3 courses, wine and a cocktail. The food was so bland and boring. Starter of pate was only okay but you could have broken a tooth on the bread it was so hard. Main course of fish totally tastleless the smallest bit of hake sitting on boring mash surrounded by what tasted like mushroom soup. Desert of chocolate browine was dry. The restaurant was freezing and if you sit near a window there is a terrible draft. The tables are not clean and in between the cracks of the tables is dirt which completely put me off my meal. Never again

Cactus Jacks (Middle Abbey St)
Millennium Walkway, Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

We used a menupages voucher for 3 courses with wine. Excellent value we were stuffed to the gills after the meal as the portions are quite large particularly if you are eating 3 courses. We found the service to be very good also. Would definitely return and recommend to others

Caffe Italiano
7 Crow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Really enjoyed the food when it did eventually arrive. The service is unacceptably slow. I had to ask twice for them to take our order and then it was like an endurance test waiting for the food it took so long. The jazz music is too loud couldnt hear myself think

Louies Bistro
20 Mountjoy Square East, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

This restaurant is in an odd location but has been beautificully restored with great attention to detail. The food was delicious and plentiful. I had a smoked haddock gratin for starter which was very tasty and duck breast for mains on a bed of lentils together with potatoes and veg all very well seasoned. The only criticism I could make was the bread given out at the start of the meal was quite bland and a little stale.

Have eaten here before and enjoyed it however on our last visit, I found the food very bland. The tables were so close together that you could not help hear every word spoken from the couples either side of me.
