The Old Spot
14 Bath Avenue, Sandymount, Sandymount, Dublin

Nice place to eat and a great location. We ate here on new years eve and arrived quite late, but the staff arranged food for us nonetheless, which was much appreciated!

Really like this place - my family ate here a couple of days ago. I had the tiger prawn salad while they all opted for the burgers. Friendly staff, good food and excellent value for money.

Crackbird
60 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I dined in Crackbird with my boyfriend on Saturday night and was very impressed. It is a great place for a bite to eat before heading out. Really good chicken! Pleasant staff also. It was very busy on Saturday night and its not possible to book so we had a drink at the bar and were seated within 30 minutes of arriving at the restaurant. Good value and big portions also.

La Cave
28 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I had dinner in La Cave with a friend on Saturday night. Very small restaurant, but a nice, cosy atmosphere and the service and food were excellent. My only slight quibble was that the early bird runs from 5-7 and I booked the table for 7, thinking we could avail of the early bird but were told we could not. The a la carte menu is reasonable however so this was not a big problem. I had the mussels and the venison - would recommend!

Rolys Cafe
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

I visited Rolys Cafe for diner with my Dad last week. I find it is a reliable place for good food and good value. I had tiger prawns in garlic butter and rice, which were delicious and Dad had the fish pie which looked good although he felt it was a little dry. We finished off with two eclairs from the display unit which were again slightly dry, but overall it was a good experience.
