The Lemon Tree start their early bird at 5pm (a la carte also available) so we went early on a Friday and had no trouble getting a table. The early bird had items individually priced (rather than a set menu) and their was plenty of choice. The service was friendly and efficient. We would go back again.

Seasons Restaurant, InterContinental Dublin
InterContinental Dublin, Simmonscourt Road, Ballsbridge, Ballsbridge, Dublin

We went for lunch here with a menu pages deal. The normal price is €28 per person for 3 courses (also available in the early evening). Not a bad price, however drinks are extremely expensive. Glasses of wine start at €8.75, and coffee at the end of the meal was around €5.95 per person. Having said that, we had a nice meal and the service was excellent. We had a good table looking on to the inner garden of the hotel. A pleasant experience overall.

Lord Kenmare's Restaurant
18 College Street, Killarney, Killarney, Kerry

We certainly enjoyed our meal at Lord Kenmares. The service was extremely friendly throughout. We had the set menu (€27 for 3 courses plus tea/coffee) and were very satisfied. Service starts at 5.30pm, so very convenient for those wanting an early meal. I would recommend booking, as it is very popular. We would certainly go back here again.

The Oar House Fish Restaurant
8 West Pier, North Co. Dublin, Howth, Dublin

We were on the menupages deal, which had plenty of choice. Service was friendly. The food was good, though our seabass was slightly overcooked. The accompanying chips and sauce were excellent. I'm glad that I wasn't paying full price for the main course, but apart from that the overall experience was enjoyable.

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Had lunch here. This is a lovely restaurant though it can get rather noisy as lunch-time goes on. There are nice touches like a good choice of home-made breads. The set-lunch is good value (though I don't think that 10% service should be automatically added to bills). Overall, a very nice meal.

Pichet
14/15 Trinity Street, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

Just had lunch in Pichets. Very friendly service. We had the set lunch (€20 for 2 courses / €25 for 3). The cod was lovely and the desserts (blueberry cheese cake and pavalova) were delicious. We've been here a few times and will be back.

Cafe Provence
1 Church Road, Malahide, Dublin

We dine often in this lovely little cafe. There is a wide selection of food from breakfasts, wraps to full dinners. The service has always been excellent and the manageress always welcoming. We will keep coming back.
