I go here every weekend for brunch (with or without a hangover) and it is AMAZING! I love the style, the vibe, the décor, the food and the staff as well as the reasonable prices. I always get the same thing, organic smoked salmon with poached eggs and a side of banana bread. I love my food and eat out in the South of Dublin a lot but I always end up back at the Mayfield. So glad the weather is getting nicer as last Summer we spent a lot of mornings sat outside in their Union Square area sipping a mocha so cannot wait for that again. Last week for the first ever time, they were quite busy when I rocked up for lunch but we were just asked to have a look around their shop selling small vintage pieces of funky jewellery and accessories and 4 minutes later were called and directed to a table. Love this place and so glad its on my doorstep, will be back there later today

KC Peaches Cafe & Delicatessen (Nassau Street)
28/29 Nassau Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

My favourite place in all of Dublin... I love KC Peaches on Nassau Street. The food (hot or cold), coffee, staff, atmosphere and décor is fantastic. The staff are rushed off their feet but at the same time cannot do enough for you. I go here most weekends and on my strict protein diet, I will get brunch here and then fill up a medium salad box full of chicken to take away which does me for the rest of the day. Fantastic value for money and such a city vibe in the place, I am forever tweeting and facebooking them about how much I love the place. I have also tried their Pearse Street branch for a poached egg and salmon bagel and their Dame Street branch for a salad box and both are just as good as Nassau Street. Will be back later today (",)

Brother Hubbard
153 capel st, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

THE PLACE TO BE!!! I love this funky café, the very first time I was there, athlete Sonia O' Sullivan was sipping her coffee by the window, It is a little gem on Capel Street that does the nicest mocha EVER made with coffee. Some of us just cannot drink coffee any other way but Brother Hubbard do the best mocha in Dublin and I've had one in SO MANY PLACES. Their cakes and scones are to die for and there are also some super seed cakes and gluten free buns that don't make you feel so guilty. Will be back again during the week for a mocha and a scone. Also the whole team of staff are so so lovely and make you feel right at home.

Urbun Cafe
Old Bray Road, South Dublin, Cabinteely, Dublin

My first ever negative review! I have visited Urbun a few times when on route to work and have only ever ordered a coffee to take away. Love the coffee, especially when that dude with the goatee is making them... Myself and my partner decided to come here today for a Saturday brunch and had been looking forward to it all week. I really wish we had gone to our usual haunts closer to home (Rathfarnham). We got the pulled pork in a bun, a teacup of soup, the Urbun club sandwich, a slice of lemon drizzle cake, a tea and a mocha. The pulled pork sambo was dripping wet (perhaps from the slaw) but once picked up off the plate needed 5 napkins to wipe the mess before it spilled overboard onto the table, tea and mocha were grand, my club sandwich came WITHOUT the chicken so was basically just 2 bits of dry bread with a thin layer of mayo, a fried egg and a piece of very fatty bacon, the soup never arrived and the cake was dry. Raging as I walked out of the place, also there were no teaspoons left to stir the tea and when the cake was 'dumped' on the table there was no spoon/fork to eat it with.
