This must be one of my favorite restaurants to go to. They have a really good early bird- which runs all night mon to fri nite. Their al a carte menu is pricey but you dont need to order any extra sides so in ways its not too bad value. The food is always freshly cooked and the deserts are amazing- its hard to resist getting one if you go here! The staff are always friendly and attentive. Overall its a really enjoyable place to go that serves fab food.

Arc Cafe Bar
Liffey Vallley Shopping Centre, Fonthill Rd, West Dublin, Liffey Valley, Dublin

This is a pub that does great food. The bar menu is varied. I love the prawn starter and the burgers are heaven. Anytime I have been here I have enjoyed the food.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Liffey Valley)
Unit 40B, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Liffey Valley, Dublin

This is a great place to go before the cinema. the burger selection is vast. The prices are good value and you wont be hungry. I love the falafel burger. It comes with skinny rosemary fries for 10E. It is what it is- a burger place but they are great burgers!

Lemon Tree Restaurant
39 Lower Main Street, Letterkenny, Donegal

Went here on Paddys night. Food was of a high quality however I feel the decor and layout of the place were lacking. It felt quite cramped. The deserts were a definite highlight. I would probably aim for the early bird if going again.

Harrys Bar and Restaurant
Bridgend, Inishowen, Burnfoot, Donegal

Visited here on Mothers Day. Arrived after the main rush at 5 pm. Service was good until they forgot to give us the coffees we had ordered, but this is a minor thing. Food was really well priced and of a very good quality. They source all their food locally and this attention to local food is a breathe of fresh air, especially at the price. I would definitely go back if in the area again.

Howards Way (Churchtown)
11 Braemor Road, South Dublin, Churchtown, Dublin

Went here for breakfast. Nice menu but if you didnt want a fry there isnt much else for you to have. I would have liked to see some pancakes on the menu. That said the food is beautiful and not covered in grease like some places. Good value for money also. Full fry which includes tea or coffee with free refills is E9.50. I will be back.

Pearl Brasserie
20 Merrion Street Upper, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

This place is fantastic! The atmosphere is posh but not stuffingly so. The service is perfect- everything you need is done but in an unobtrusive manner. The food is to die for. I had a mushroom risotto- the tastes were immense. My dinning partner had the prawns which were perfectly cooked in tempura batter and came with the freshest of asian salads. I had pork for main which came on a slate plate. The 3 types of pork were all delightful- very moreish. Himself had the steak which was perfectly cooked medium- this seems hard for a lot of restaurans to achieve, but here it was executed perfectly. We shared the potato and celeriac dauphinoise which was a meal in itself and the cauliflower cheese which was also devine. For desert I had the tasting of lemon which was the most delightful trio of deserts. The flavours were perfect. Himself had the chocolate cake which was intensely chocolaty- a bit to much so for my taste, but then i'm not a mad chocolate fan. We shared a bottle of MAlbec which suited all our courses very well. I really like the way the desert menu has desert wines for pairing with the deserts. The only which would deter me from going to often was the price. Our bill came to E200 which makes this a place for a big treat but not the kind of place i would be able to afford regularly which dissappoints me! I will definitely be back though.

The Egg Cafe (Avoca Rathcoole)
Naas Road, Rathcoole, Dublin

Food is very good here and the atmosphere is great. However the price is a big issue. The menu could be considered limited to some also. Try the desert selection for two- heaven! Overall I feel that the prices really do need to looked at- they would get far more business if prices were keener.

The Birdcage Cafe
Avoca Rathcoole, Naas Road, Rathcoole, Dublin

Good wholesome food. Deserts are really sinful. However I have always thought that if they just gave you smaller protions of cake, etc they could reduce the price a bit as it is quite expensive. Its the guts of E10 for a coffee and slice of cake.

Lemongrass (Citywest)

Had a fantastic meal here last night. Great value, attentive staff, didnt feel rushed. Will definitely be back.

Saba
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Could not say my experience here was worth the money. The food comes out far to quickly to be freshly prepared. We felt rushed and nearly obliged to leave as soon as we were finished eating even though the place wasnt all that busy. I had waited a long time as everytime we tried to book we couldnt get a reservation. Dont get what the hype about this place is- definitely wont be going back.

Koh
6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Very authentic thai food at reasonable prices. The cocktails are amazing- try the pomegranate mountie. A different restaurant in that the bar area is a cool chill out place to have a few pre or post dinner drinks, a great place for a party.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Excellent value special offers- especially their wine offer of any house wine for E12.50. This place never fails to deliver good food with generous portions. The toblerone cheesecake is fantastic. The cocktails are very good too.

Fallon and Byrne
11-17 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here for meal with my husband. The food was really good but the service was a little bit stuffy for us. I had scallops to start and a beef burger, both of which you couldnt fault. However the menu is a little limited and I think you would be best to look at it before you go to ensure you will be able to pick something.

The Exchequer
3-5 Exchequer Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Really enjoyed a meal here recently. We took our time enjoying our meal and didnt feel rushed at all which can be a problem in some pubs that serve food and are very busy. I had a steak sandwich which was cooked exactly as i had ordered it and was to die for- I will be back for that alone! Their deserts also were homemade and just what you want on a cold winter evening. Wine list is quite extensive also- our server recommended a lovely Malbec which went down a treat!

Pichet
14/15 Trinity Street, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

I love this restaurant. Anytime I go the service is great, relaxed vibe about the place and the food is amazing. The 3 course early bird is great value for money and is constantly changing. The deserts are a definte highlight- they seem to improve every time I go. I ate off the early bird menu and had a gorgeously flavoured celeriac veloute, roast chicken with black pudding, pea puree and cabage, and the strawberry cheescake. Loved it all. My only quibble is that you have to order sides separetly- and if you are anyway hungry you need to.
