We came her for my Mother's Birthday. Mam has always loved this place. I had seafood chowder which was delicious bar one mouthful which tasted like tinned tuna. Where do I start with the main. I requested rare fillet. OMG I have never been served such a big lump of fatty beef that was more blue than rare. I had to swap it as all the fat in it was awful. The hole table got shared chips and veg. Well ALL the chips were reheated and hard. The veg was boiled so much it was tasteless and v watery. The children's pizza was 5inchs in width, one of the ones you would buy in a multi pack from Tesco which cremated chips. My nieces face when she saw it and she didn't like it either. My Mother got two tail ends of fish instead of a fillet. My partner and I was and mother were v disappointed. one girl in particular serving was fantastic but the other had such a face on her and didn't ask me what I wanted to drink as she walked away. Years back that used to do different types of potatoes, gratin, dauphfinoise, etc and beautiful fresh fish chowder and it was always packed. This is the first time I have seen empty tables. overall it was a shocking disappointment and will not return.

TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )
St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went in here lunch time. 2 people. They have signs everywhere lunch €9.95??? As it turns out it is just for the mains!!! So NO BARGAINS there!!! Got seated. paid €5 for wings and €9.95 for Friday Chicken Burger. The wings were HORRIBLE. Reheated rubber. The Blue Cheese Dip tasted like nail varnish remover. So I ate 2.5 of them, even though you get 5!! €1 a wing!!! The mains. 25 mins waiting. It was tasteless to say the least!!!! The coke was €2.85 approx. So all in all, including the tip, I spent 20 euros on THE most disgusting lunch ever!! During the meal I could see this poor staff member wiping the sweat of fhis brow as he handled the plates he was piling high from the dishwasher. Not the most appetising view and doesn't bear thinking about the sweat and where it trasferred to?? Would I go back....... NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

I ate in Oscar Taylors Sunday 30/5/10 with my partner. We sat in the nice Window area looking out. Our fresh fish starters were amazing. It went down hill after that. We both went for the fillet steaks. I asked for medium done and it was well done and v chewy. €22 euros for that steak. It was supposed to be on Champ but it was on mashed potatoes. €2 for the peppered sauce which was like gravy with the pepper cernels thrown in. Awful. €3 for dish of over cooked breaded mushrooms which tasted like they were been kept warn and another €3 for the deep fried mushrooms which also tasted of being kept warm. I ended up leaving the meal. Good job we only had the one drink because the waiter didnt come back. There was a huge table of 28 people being served instead. No one could get their attention (as their were two other couples also in this predicament) to get the bills. Once we had our mains they didnt want to know us. With two french coffee's our bill came to €81 which personally is way over priced for the food we had. In its day it was a beaufitful restaurant but now its a way over priced restaurant with bad service and awful over cooked food. WILL NOT be going back!!!!!

ZAO Thai Restaurant
96B Omni Park Shopping Centre, Swords road , North Dublin, Santry, Dublin

I went here in August for my partners bday and had a ball. Brilliant night. So I brought all my work colleagues for our xmas night out. I was soooo disappointed with the service. Must admit can't fault the food as it really is lovely but just not enough of it. Chicken Stewers was pitiful & mains was also a tiny portion. We waited soooo long on service that i ended up getting coffee for desert and even that was freezing. We waited about 20 mins for a glass of water. So all in all service was worse then RUBBISH!!! The tables are far too close hence we couldnt get in or out & we ended up back to back with a drunken abusive lout who fell on our table and smashed glasses and spilled drink every where. The best thing about that restaurant is Theresa & Fintan's karoke gig. They really get the croud going and are great entertainers. The karoke really made the night!!
