Kirbys Brogue Inn
Rock St, Tralee, Tralee, Kerry

Nice bar in the centre of Tralee, very large menu so there is bound to be something you like. The food was really nice and the staff very attentive. Will re-visit when I am back in Tralee. Would suggest the management get in a few craft beers for us beer nerds, but these are hard to find in Tralee in general :-)

The Lord Lucan Pub
The Finnstown Shopping Centre, Newcastle Rd, Lucan, Dublin

We get the bus up here sometimes as we live in Lucan, good hearty pub fare, I would not recommend the Fajitas, they were done in a BBQ sauce and just not nice, but everything else we tried was lovely...

Sophie's
33 Harcourt Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Well you really come here for the view, which is fantastic, if you're wondering what certain landmarks are just ask your waiter, they're very nice and friendly. Its slightly above standard prices for a pizza/steak but they don't rub it in really...place has a very cool vibe and would be great to watch the sunset in...overall will be back :-)

Bunsen
36 Wexford St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Actually went to the one in Anne st sth...but not on MP yet so left review here.....burgers are awesome....fries are yum....limited menu....like its just burgers, but wow what a burger....marked down on value as I think the beer is overpriced but everything else is super

Bread and Bones
7 Millennium Walkway, City Centre North, Dublin

Had a voucher but the food is reasonably prices anyway....would say that their craft beers @ Eur 7.50 are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay over priced....5:50 to 6 max please, I had to mark down on value there. I would recommend the curry, it was not too hot and honestly fabbo, the loaded fries are also amazing, I will be getting this as a main course next time....keep up the good work chaps :-)

profile_review

Whitefriar Grill
16 Aungier Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

My Girlfriend and I had Brunch there on the Bank Holiday Monday...they have a deejay on hand for atmosphere, the tunes are fabbo, I had ribs and rump and she had chicken wings and fries, loads of food, well served and perfectly cooked...will be back :-)

Camden Kitchen
3A Camden Market, Grantham Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

Food is very good, a real taste treat. We had 3 courses which one would need to be full (I was starving), restaurant was crowded with a real buzz. We were on a voucher so it was great value, they do have a set menu which is cheaper also....deffo book as a lot of people were turned away at the door. Bit of time between courses, however they were jammed and the quality of the food was great.

Have to say was having the food in the bar....nice menu...nice atmosphere....lovely staff, portions are big so you wont go hungry....great pub grub fare and reasonable price

Rio Rodizio
27 Ranelagh, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

Myself and my gf went here last night on a voucher, which was great value I must say. The restaurant has a front part and a back part and a terrace....we sat in the back part as it had more atmosphere (was busier) but the front is nice also. The terrace has heaters so smokers can dine in comfort also. There is a smell of meat cooking in the restaurant but that's part of the experience Once you are shown to your seat you go to a salad bar and grab a plate, there is a super mix of fresh salad and a container of warm risotto (beef, it was very good). You then sit down and the waitress brings you your french fries (freshly made from real potatoes). Then the waiters bring the meat, there are about 10 different types, steak, ribs. sausage, chicken...pork and beef. All are well cooked and you can have as much as you want (along with the salad and fries). Afterwards we had grilled pineapple with cinnamon and one serving of cake, along with 2 coffees, we had the house red (Spanish) which was lovely. The staff are lovely, very attentive and friendly, they appear to all be Brazilian and will tell you everything about the food... A small criticism would be the meat is quite heavily salted, which makes sense in Brazil due to heat/humidity. In Ireland I think slightly less salt for our pallets. Overall great, will go again :-)

Pitt Bros Smoked BBQ
Unit 1, Wicklow House, Georges St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Maybe BBQ is not my thing...we got the 3 meats and 2 sides to share, which is enough for 2 people, the pulled pork was nice, the ribs were a bit dry and chewy, the brisket was just dry and didnt taste of much tbh...also the beers are way too expensive, over 5.50 for a small bottle...as I said if this is good BBQ then it aint for me...wont be back

profile_review

Alladins Cafe and Restaurant
129 Upper Leeson Street, Dublin 4, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here on a voucher which gave 40 euro to spend, we has one starter and two mains and that used up the entire voucher...the early bird ends at 6 bizarrely...its BYOB/W which helps...bit short on atmosphere as we were the only diners @ 6:30...two more people did come in later. The staff are great, really friendly and the food is lovely....will we be back...probably not as its a bit pricey for where it is and is competing with Damascus Gate etc...would probably pop in for those early birds tho...

Boojum (Kevin St)
Unit 4 College Court, Kevin Street Lower, City Centre South, Dublin

Super place, the shredded beef is amazing, lots of nice fresh ingredients....one burrito will sate the biggest hunger so represents great value...Go hot or go home :-)

profile_review

Canal Bank Cafe
146 Upper Leeson Street, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Not cheap but the food and service is amazing, if you're opting for the chicken wings to start and there are only 2 of you then share a main course....honestly you will be too stuffed otherwise

La Dolce Vita - The Chase
Carmanhall Road, Dublin 18, Sandyford, Dublin

Was here for lunch with work colleagues, there were 9 of us...we all had a nice meal. The restaurant itself is very bright and airy...really nice. I had the pizza (some like it hot) and it could have been cooked slightly more but overall I'd say this is a great spot. The pasta dishes locked lovely also. Overall we were all happy... :-) Would deffo come again

profile_review

Damascus Gate
10 Upper Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

Was on a MP voucher. Been here before and left reviews, always a pleasure to visit this restaurant. Food was good, my only tip is if you're not on a voucher. Share a starter and just get one side with your main's...they give you a lot of food :-)

Carrolls Gastro pub
1-2 Demense View, Main Street, Lucan, Dublin

Was out for a cycle and went here yesterday, its new in the village so thought we'd try it... The place is lovely inside...they have craft beers which is great... from the limited menu I picked bacon and cabbage for 10:50 and my gf picked a chicken burger for 12:50....first the bacon...was not freshly carved as was dry...was only two slices of loin which was scabby...not enough cabbage...was supposed to have veg and had 3 mean pieces of roasted veg (v sad looking), the roast potato was a re-heat and was terrible, the parsley sauce was not served on the side and was darker than normal which suggests it was left there ages....the better half chicken burger (which had no option for bacon or cheese on the menu btw), was nicely presented on a wooden board with the french fries in a bucket thing, the chicken was a bit overcooked for my taste, the fries were lovely...but no wow factor, home made slaw or something to justify the extra 2 euro this cost....the beers were lovely but at 5.30 were overpriced....oh and I marked down on service because no one came to us and asked us how our meal was...having said that I saw a family come in and they had child seats and all that sort of thing, Doubt we will be back for food...v disappointed :-(

profile_review

Le Bon Crubeen
81-82 Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

This is a cool place, we booked for 8:30 as there is a jazz band on at 9 and they play to you as you eat your dinner...it was really great music very chilled and you could still talk over it. Staff are very attentive without being annoying, the food is yummy. They have a good range of beers, including craft beers....try it...its a nice place :-)

profile_review

El Bahia Moroccan Restaurant
37 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went on a voucher...great spot, my GF had the mussels to start and they were very meaty....not a bad place to let the waiter order for you...my friend got cows tounge...which was really nice...will be back, the atmosphere is super and the waiter was very friendly :-)

profile_review

Buenos Aires Grill
Unit 2 Castle Way, Golden Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We were running slightly late and I had to call to move my booking to 8pm...they did this with no fuss whatsoever, the maitre di was very busy. We had a voucher for the surf and turf...It was nice but I was honestly expecting more surf, we got a few prawns in a scampi like coating, a small piece of fish, we were not asked how we wanted the steak, I had to prompt the waiter to remember the pepper sauce...it was slightly over...having said that the food was nice..., the sides were yum....will go again but I'll say we will just try the steak on its own.

profile_review

Rosie O' Gradys
282 Harolds Cross Road,, Harolds Cross, Harolds Cross, Dublin

Went here on a grabone voucher, but the food is v reasonable in price anyway. It was Sunday dinner fare, I had roast beef and my better half had bacon and cabbage. There was lots of food and it was very tasty, the veg was fresh and was not overcooked. Staff are friendly...food does stop @ 7 on a Sunday and 8 the rest of the week which is earlier than most places. Will eat there again :-)

profile_review

Harrys on the Green
2 King St South, City Centre South, Dublin

Just had the cocktails here...they were yummy, only downside was waiting about 10 minutes for them but they were busy and they are freshly made so thats understandable... :-)

profile_review

Rody Bolands
12-14 Upper Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin

Was here last night on a Grabone voucher...had a starter of chicken wings and a massive cheese/bacon burger...Food is presented really well on wooden flats...the chips are home made and the staff are very nice...will deffo go again

The Larder Restaurant
8 Parliament Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We were on a training course around the corner and lunch was booked here for the week...food was very nice, the service was excellent, I had something different every day, I did get the special on the Friday which was baked cod and the portion of cod was small...however the food for the rest of the week was yummy

profile_review

The Pines Cafe Bar and Restaurant
196 Whitehall Road, South Dublin, Terenure, Dublin

This bar is actually in Perrystown rather than Ternure imo...Ternure Garda station would be about 3km away. Having said that this place has super food, service and atmosphere, finally someone has got top quality pub grub right. It was really busy on Sat night but the quality of the food and service remains high, they normally have a set menu, which is 2 or 3 courses and its fantastic value....will be back here again :-)

profile_review

Alfies
10 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went with friends for usual pre-Christmas dinner and drinks. We sat upstairs at the cocktail bar, its really nice up there and was very Christmassy :-) I had the wings to start, for a starter they are a bit pricey but are very nice, you get a good few so if on a date you could probably share them...had the burger as the main which was lovely as usual. The rest of the party were happy with the food and drink and its a great place to go with a gang...will go again

profile_review

Viva
27 Richmond Street South, Portobello, City Centre South, Dublin

Went on a grab one voucher on Sunday night and the restaurant was not busy, the waiter did say its not busy on a Sunday. The food and wine was yum...we had chicken, Patatas bravas, squid and chorizo....which was all yummy...will be back :-) PS waiter was very nice.

profile_review

Bobo's Gourmet Burgers (Dame St)
50-51 Dame St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

You could argue that the burgers are expensive here, but the quality of them is second to none...We popped in here for something to eat prior to a concert in the Olympia...I had the Cashel and my GF had the sex on the farm....both were really fresh and yummy, we had one side (half fries and half onion rings), for us that was more than enough food...you can always order more :-) Very informal place but it was warm and welcoming on a chilly night...also have beers on draft which is good also...will be back and bought a voucher for the one on Wexford St...

The Long Mile Bar and Bistro
Long Mile Road, Dublin 12, Walkinstown, Dublin

Had dinner there last Sunday with my Dad and my girlfriend....we were very late 8:45pm and this was actually the third place we tried...it thankfully was still open. Needless to say I had low expectations....thankfully I was totally wrong...The waiter we got was called Pat, very helpfull and made recommendations, my father and I went for the 10oz Steak which was yum...lovely home made pepper sauce, handcut fries and onion rings. My gf had a curry which was a very large serving..We had chicken wings to start which were also nice. Pat told us they were slammed during the day which makes the quality we got even more surprising...will deffo be back :-)

El Bahia Moroccan Restaurant
37 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here on menupages voucher and have really got into middle east and Moroccan food...this place did not disappoint. I had the sardines to start and my GF had mengues sausages...both yummy...I had a chicken and lamb cous cous dish....chicken was slightly overcooked but the flavours were amazing...my partners dish was lamb with dates and figs...OMG this rocked...the flavours were amazing...lamb was melt in mouth and the sweet gooiness of the dates/figs was super...the place itself is very authentically decorated, staff very attentive and polite...music was also perfect...will deffo be back we loved it :-) Thanks again

Zaytoon (Lower Camden Street)
44-55 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

Went in there last night for some food to wind down the weekend, had the platter for 2 which was yum...real comfort food at reasonable prices...only reason to mark this place down is the atmosphere...its a fast food joint so don't expect candles on tables...having said that the food is server promptly and is very tasty....can't fault it...will be again

The Copper Bar
8 Blackthorn Road, Beacon South Quarter, Sandyford, Sandyford, Dublin

We had lunch here today, there were 14 of us in the end and the person who booked the lunch could not attend, which led to this situation below. I was not too sure how many we were, and when I told the maitre d' there may not be the full 14 (who incidentally was not wearing anything which signaled they were working there...just street clothes), she proceeded to tell us repeatedly that "we are booked out and we had to turn people away", felt like I was back in school, talk about rude...in the end there were 14 of us.. However I would not have that particular individual working with the public... The other waitress was nice and told us about the express menu...but neglected to tell us about the soup of the day....I ordered battered fish and chunky chips...which was nicely presented on a slate but the fish portion was small and quite greasy (kitchen towel would have taken two seconds), also the "hand cut chunky chips" were replaced by frozen french fries...when I brought this up I was told they had run out....why I was not told this at time of order was not explained as the waiter had run off by then...he did bring me some but they looked like they were re-heats and were of poor quality...one of our party had the beef hot pot which just looked like pure stodge...which the Toulouse sausage "had no flavor" was another remark... This place has pub food pure and simple, and mediocre overpriced pub food at that, the price of the sides is crazy...will not be rushing back...sorry...

profile_review

Mannings Bakery
40 Thomas Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Was in here on Sat afternoon after taking a mooch around the markets on Meath St...the cakes in this cafe are the equal to anything in Europe...the display is something to behold...we just had an americano and a latte and a huge slice of carrot cake for €8.10...which by todays standards is great value...the savory food looks good also and they have crepes...looks like this bakery has really moved with the times and has lots of classics with a modern twist...deffo have to return for breakfast sometime...deffo a hidden gem

profile_review

Martino's Trattoria (Ranelagh)
97 Main street, Ranelagh, Ranelagh, Dublin

Got a great value coupon on Grab one for Martino's Trattoria, but even if I didn't would deffo pop in again for a pizza....most of them are between 11 and 15 euro...13 for a Vulcano which is a spicy pepperoni pizza...it has a crispy base and is not doughy at all...they bake them in a wood fired oven....staff are lovely and restaurant is nicely appointed, not too fancy but nice lighting/music etc...overall had a nice mid week meal :-)

profile_review

Cafe Tropical Brazil
1 Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6, Rathmines, Dublin

Went on a groupon deal, 20 euro for 2 steaks and 2 sides, 2 soft drinks and 2 coffees. Steaks were nice, as were the sides, could have been a bit bigger though. Given it's 9.95 for a steak with two sides then this is not a great groupon discount to be honest. Girl serving us was very nice and friendly, atmosphere is cafe style and it was a little chilly. We are deffo going back to try the deep fried pastries which are traditional Brazilian, I think this place should push this food more in their offers...

profile_review

Aussie BBQ
5 South Richmond Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

We were really looking forward to the pulled pork sandwich, it was not as nice as we thought it would be, not as much flavour as I'd imagined...nice but not knock out. My companion had the hot dog which was yummy. TV's are on in the restaurant which does little for the atmosphere. Staff very nice and friendly and the prices are reasonable. They only have Fosters and Heineken on draft which is a bit of a shame but they have coopers in bottles which was nice Aussie beer :-) Overall would go again

profile_review

Neon Asian Street Food
17 Camden Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went in on Sat night, its an informal almost take-away place so not really a place to bring a first date. The food is yum, the ribs as a starter as really good, had a green curry and Pad Thai...both excellent, the food is spicy, especially the Pad Thai. They give you an ice cream cone and you can self-serve yourself a whipped ice cream for dessert which is a nice touch. Some peeps (on reviews here) are not happy about the staff but they are a good bunch....great food.

profile_review

JD's Steakhouse
4 Rathfarnham Road, Dublin 6W, Terenure, Dublin

Was in JD's for dinner, I had the rib eye and my companion had the fillet, both were big and tender and cooked exactly the way we ordered it. Had the house red which was really good and not bad value. We had got a 2 course meal on the menupages site as a treat post holidays and I would return to JD's again :-)

profile_review

Damascus Gate
10 Upper Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

Got a menu pages deal for Damascus gate...but even if you did not this place would be reasonable, a starter and main should set you back €22-23 per person and you can pop across to Tesco for some vino (BYOB policy with zero corkage). Typical eastern Med food with lots of flavor, I have the mixed kebab's which were yummy. My partner had the hummus with lamb mince to start which was super, she was well pleased Staff are very friendly and can't really fault the place. We need more neighborhood restaurants like this in Dublin :-)
