Salamanca

Great atmosphere & great food. Though we had an early booking 5:15 on Saturday evening the restaurant was full & there was a great buzz in the place. Really enjoyed the evening with friends. Will be back again.

Avenue by Nick Munier
1 Crow Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Excellent. We really enjoyed our first visit to Avenue. The food was fabulous and the restaurant was buzzing! Lovely atmosphere - not loud but a sense that people were enjoying the experience. Service was very good and it was great to see Nick there front of house. We took a very early table as I left it very late to contact them to make the booking for Saturday night (about two days notice). We arrived at 5:30 and what I really liked is that they seem to manage their bookings well - we weren't kicked out or made to feel under pressure to leave - though we did leave around 7:30 after three courses and no sense of rush - so well done on the seating planning. We are going back and even booked for Christmas Eve lunch! Would highly recommend Avenue!

Rustic Stone
South George's Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Took a friend for dinner for as a birthday treat. We both enjoyed the food at Rustic Stone. Neither of us had been there before. The place was buzzing for a Wednesday night so much so that we had to give back our table at 9pm - which we knew - so no issue with that! My only gripe was that the enormous lamb burger was served on a tiny board which meant it had to be deconstructed to be eaten and there just was no where to put the component parts! I think the chef needs to go through the "dining experience" of this presentation - its not great. Lets just say I'm not sure I'd have tackled much of it had I been at dinner and hoping to impress my dining guest! Otherwise an enjoyable experience!

Dobbins Restaurant
15 Stephen Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Dined in Dobbins on Thursday night with a voucher. I hadn't been in this restaurant in many years! It was a joy to return. The food and service were excellent. We enjoyed the evening so much that we are returning for a family dinner next week. Can't imagine why I left it so long to return - as you can see I'm only leaving a week between visits this time!

Matt The Thresher Seafood Bar and Grill
31/31 Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Popped in for the early bird before we headed to the NCH. The place was buzzing at 6pm on this Friday evening. Service was friendly and attentive and the food was good and some nice choice on the early bird menu. Definitely a place to return to!

Brasserie 7
The Capel Building, Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Had lunch on a very quiet Saturday. Food was good service was attentive but got very quiet around a what appeared to be a shift change at 3pm. Food was good but it was so quiet there that we'd definitely like to go back and try it in the evening. The background music however, was lovely!

The Cedar Tree
11a St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had lunch @The Cedar Tree and I will definitely return again. Food was lovely, service great and it was busy but not jammed. A great mix of tourists and locals. Staff are friendly and efficient. Try the Lebanese coffee if you like a strong espresso type coffee with cardamon! Its amazing!

Not our first visit to D'Chili Shaker and certainly won't be our last! Great food, relaxed atmosphere and friendly and efficient staff. You really feel welcome from your first visit!

The Odeon
57 Old Harcourt Street Railway Station, Harcourt Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We attended the Supper Club at the Bourbon Bar in the Odeon (on a Menupages voucher) and we really enjoyed the experience. There was some confusion and a mistake made over out table (as there were two voucher offers in the Odeon that night) and we were seated in the main bar initially. However, when we inquired about the show we were rapidly moved to the bourbon bar with apologies and a free cocktail as they had seated us in the wrong location in error. That aside we had a wonderful evening - the food is good and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The entertainment for the supper club was just excellent. A lady sang jazzy numbers accompanied by an excellent guitarist while we ate. That was followed by Eamonn who sang a range of numbers by the Rat Pack, Como, and Buble (to name a few). Some with a slight twist in the arrangement which was wonderful. We had to leave just after 10:30 but we could have stayed there all night! A great idea and one that definitely will catch on! We would highly recommend The Supper Club at the Odeon! Next one is 21 November (we checked as we left so we'll definitely be back there for that!!!)

The Brick House
24 Harbour Road, Skerries, Dublin, Skerries, Dublin

Lovely evening and food. Amazing buzz in the restaurant for a Tuesday evening. Great views out over the sea and the staff were efficient and friendly - will definitely be making a trip to Skerries and the Brick House again soon!

L'Gueuleton
No 1 Fade Street, Off Georges's Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had lunch at L'Gueuleton on Saturday and it was lovely. Not too busy but a good buzz with people having leisurely lunches! I had a salad and coffee and my friend went for the steak sandwich with fries on the side. Both were really good and good value. Had never been there for lunch but had dinner there a few times - so I'll definitely be back again for lunch!

Pacifico Restaurant & Grill
Marine Court, The Green, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

We had a lovely meal at La Sirena in Malahide. Despite the restaurant being busy and down one of their wait staff they really did do a great job of getting the food on the table. Its nice to see that they acknowledged they were under pressure and things were a little delayed - it makes such a difference - we relaxed and enjoyed our meal once we understood what was happening! Food was good and our two cocktails were delicious! This wasn't our first visit and it won't be our last

PHX Bistro
12 Ellis Quay, Ellis House, Smithfield, Dublin 7, City Centre North, Dublin

We really enjoyed our dinner at PHX. This was our third time here and again the staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was excellent (as it was on both previous occasions!) My only regret is that I couldn't try the cocktails as I was driving - hadn't planned to but it was a miserable evening so only sensible option was to drive to the restaurant! Next time!

Silks Chinese Restaurant
5 The Mall , Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Four of us had dinner in Silks on Sunday 8th June. There wasn't much of an atmosphere in the place though most of the tables were occupied. Food was good though the portions for the mains were huge, and my pet hate - the plates were cold, which really isn't great when you are with a party and there is a lot of chatting going on over dinner - you quickly realise you are eating cold food. Two of us had our mains served on hot plates so they at least remained hot for a while. Not sure I'd return,

Masterson's Steakhouse & Wine Bar
17 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

Hadn't been to Mastersons in a while. It was pretty busy but fortunately they were able to seat the two of us around 6:30 in the evening. Food was good though the service was a bit rushed - but they may have accommodated us in the hope of getting their table back fairly quickly. Overall a very enjoyable meal and we'll certainly return,

Indie Spice Grill
Burgundy House, New Street, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

Popped in for an early bird around 5:45pm. The restaurant was quiet but the staff were attentive and the food was good. Will certainly go back again but might choose a slightly later time or day in the week when it might be a bit busier!

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Excellent food! Friendly staff and a great buzz in the place at 6:30 in the evening that hadn't let up even as we strolled out after 8:30pm. Definitely will return!

Herbert Room Restaurant @ Cahernane House Hotel
Cahernane House Hotel, Muckross Road, Killarney, Kerry

Amazing dining experience. Can't rate this restaurant highly enough. Would definitely go back again. We had dinner in the restaurant on Saturday night and while it was quite busy the service was very attentive and the food was truly amazing. A wonderful selection on each course and the hardest part was making the choices!

The Dandelion Restaurant
1st floor, Unit 4, Main Street , Swords, Swords, Dublin

Lovely new restaurant. Excellent service. It was a pity that it was really quiet the night we were there 5th January, 2014. Food was good but there were a couple of items we planned to order or ordered that were out of stock - understandable at the end of a busy early New Year schedule. Will definitely go back again but would hope to pick a night that its busier for a bit of atmosphere!

Kitchen
3 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had lunch with a friend on Saturday. The atmosphere was great - great buzz and the restaurant was cozy as it was pretty chilly outside. Food was good - my friend had a chicken sandwich with nice hand cut fries & I had the bombay chicken caesar salad and both were lovely. My friend opted for the Guiness Sticky Toffee pudding which really was amazing. Service was a bit scattered as it was really busy! However, the staff were very nice - just a bit rushed off their feet! Would recommend Kitchen and will definitely be back again!

The Lord Mayors
Main Road, Swords, Dublin

Have been here on several occasions and really like The Well @ The Lord Mayors. Decor and atmosphere are great - can get very busy - but then that is to be expected. The food here is really good and the staff are really pleasant - would definitely encourage you to make a return visit. My husband and I dropped in yesterday evening for a bit to eat and the place had just been decorated for Halloween and looks amazing - very simple, effective an elegant. They will be one year open this weekend - long may the continue to be in business.

The Mint Leaf (Dunboyne)
Summerhill Road, Dunboyne, Meath

Our group of 7 had lunch on Thursday 24th October. Food was excellent, with a mix of salads and hot food selected. There was a great buzz in the restaurant. Would definitely return again!

The Mint Leaf Swords
18 Main St, Swords, Swords, Dublin

Really nice new restaurant in Swords. Food and service are excellent and it is really good value for money. Lovely atmosphere - nice background music and you can have a conversation over dinner yet get a sense of the buzz around you. Definitely would recommend you try this restaurant - its new and has a great menu! A must visit!!!

Dowlers Steakhouse & Wine Bar
18 Main Street, Swords , Swords, Dublin

We are regulars at Dowlers and are delighted that it has re-opened again. Christy and the staff are always welcoming. The food is consistently good and good value. If you don't feel like a full bottle of wine you can order by the glass from a stunning selection which is great. Live music on a Saturday night really makes a night of going out for a bite to eat! Even if the music isn't to your taste on a given night it is lovely to sit back and relax with a glass of wine or a coffee after dinner and enjoy the buzz and experience. Carmel S
