Ate here last week with my sister and really enjoyed the experience. The appetisers were delicious and a good introduction to Indian food, which I hadn’t eaten much before, the main courses were delicious and the portions a good size. Good value too and the waiter more than happy to help. We had a great time and will be back.

I wanted a delicious indian and this was what I got! The service was excellent but not fussy. However the noise made by other customers in the restaurant was incredible. My companion and I almost had to shout to speak to each other. This noise was from 2 other customer groups so wasn't the restaurants fault but it would probably put me off returning.

Port House Pintxo
12 Eustace Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Nice spot but the service was quite slow. We were seated in the back which was lovely given the fine weather but note this is the smoking area too - so ideal for smokers. The paella was a bit bland but the other food was all delicious. I was not wowed so I don't know if I would return.

Yamamori Sushi, Tengu
38-39 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

The food was of a good standard here. I enjoyed it especially the sesame chicken in the Bento box. It was hard to get the attention of the staff but they were very helpful when we did get their attention. We were not told the food would arrive at different times which was a pity as we were in somewhat of a hurry and confused by this. Complimentary green tea on arrival was a nice touch.

Moloughney's Clontarf
9 Vernon Avenue, North Dublin, Clontarf, Dublin

Had a lovely breakfast here. Had the cream cheese and bacon bagel - was lovely but would be nicer if they added in some tomato too. That's a personal preference though. Boyfriend had the full Irish breakfast and he said it was better here than other local spots. I would recommend.

Pichet
14/15 Trinity Street, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

Most delicious restaurant food I've had in quite some time and the quantities were generous. The service was mostly great. I was sorry to not have room for dessert. Absolutely lovely I will be back.

I enjoyed my trip here, the food was lovely and there was a great selection. Sometimes a bit hard to get staff attention. A great concept and well carried out.

Bewley's Café
Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Strange experience here. Our order for salads and coffee didn't make it to the kitchen until an hour after ordering due to a machine failure. After we were informed of this we were served the salads quickly. We had to re-request the drinks. However when we tried to pay we were told that our food was on the house because of the mix up, which was very nice.

Hugo's
6 Merrion Row, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I enjoyed eating here more than my partner did. He had the steak and found it well done rather than medium. I had the duck which was very good. The cheese board was fab! The high chairs take a bit of getting used to but I thought it was nice to try something different. I would return for the good vibe, the friendly staff and that cheeseboard.

Casa Pasta & Pizza (Donnybrook)
3 Eirpage House, Donnybrook Road, (Opp Rugby grounds), Donnybrook, Dublin

Ate here recently and found it to be okay, standard on par with other local Italian restaurants. The staff were great though, friendly and attentive. I don't think I will return though as it was nothing special and lacked atmosphere.

Roast
10a Merrion Rd, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

I thought this was really great. I tried my first lamb shank here and it was really good. Had the lunch menu which is really good value. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals too. This is a great addition to Ballsbridge and I will definitely be back.

Madina Desi Curry Co
60 Mary Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

The food was good, the portions generous and the staff very helpful but I couldn't help noticing it was a bit dusty (I was sitting near the stairs) and that put me off a bit. I will go back though as it's yummy and great value!

Juice Vegetarian Restaurant
9 Castle House, South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

There is a healthy food vibe here and a great early bird offer which allowed us to get a glass of prosecco instead of a starter in the 3 course deal. The food feels very clean and healthy, I'd imagine they could almost tell you the calorie content of your meal if you asked them to. It's the sort of place you could go to after the gym or if you're trying to be 'good'. Difficult to get in, we wouldn't have been able to open the door only other diners were leaving. Also sometimes difficult to get the attention of the one server but overall good.

The Bank on College Green

Very good pub food - delicious. As good as many city central restaurants. The only thing was eating on bar stools is probably not as enjoyable as eating at a regular table but what do you expect when you order food while sitting at a bar stool! :-) Very good, will definitely return.

Chapter One Restaurant
18/19 Parnell Square, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

We waited 30 minutes after our booking to be seated but this was the only flaw in the evening. Once again the food in Chapter One was amazing (Grouse and Chocolate souffle), the service was flawless and I cam happy to highly recommend this restaurant for a special evening out.

Milano (Baggot Street)
1 - 2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, City Centre South, Dublin

Tried the low cal pizza and found it to be great value for calories. Would order again, it is such a good idea. Boyfriend not nearly as impressed with his regular pizza but there was nothing wrong with it per say, he thought it was a bit bland. Overall, good experience and would return.

The food here was excellent. Was out with a big group but everyone agreed. Service was good too as were location and atmosphere. Good value for what it is!

The Mint Bar
The Westin Hotel, College Green, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Bar food is on par with bar food elsewhere in the city. The service was very good. The cocktails are also very good as is the location.

Eddie Rockets (Liffey Valley)
Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Liffey Valley, Dublin

Both my boyfriend and I enjoyed the food we ordered here. It's a great place to go when you're very hungry. The service here was probably the best I've seen at an Eddie Rockets restaurant. Restaurant was busy even at 8:30 on a Monday evening.

profile_review

Milano (Temple Bar)
19 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Ate here with a friend on a Tuesday evening. It was great. I'm very impressed with Milanos these days, as there's something for everyone there as there's so many options and so many healthy options. The staff were great, very helpful and always available when they were needed. The food was very tasty and it was very good value too. Top marks.

Cafe Java - Ballsbridge

Had Lunch here a few weekends ago and was very impressed. The staff were great as was the choice, the value and of course the food. What they do here, they do very well.

Ukiyo
7-9 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

A big group of us ate here recently for a going away do. For the most part everyone was very happy with the food. The service was excellent also. The karaoke downstairs was a great laugh, though I was dreading it beforehand. They have a great selection and great facilities. I would highly recommend this spot for a memorable night out.

profile_review

Alfies
10 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

It was a pity when I came here to eat I wasn't very hungry at all as the food was so delicious and I couldn't even finish my main course. I had 2 lovely cocktails here also so perhaps these were partially to blame for my lack of hunger. I would like to eat here again.

El Bahia Moroccan Restaurant
37 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate here with a friend recently and really enjoyed it. The smells inside are amazing and the food is very interesting and tasty. This is a lovely spot for something different. The dessert while delicious was quite heavy. A word of warning though, you will leave here with very garlic breath even though you didn't even realise you were eating any garlic. Very good offers on here at the moment also. I would and have recommended this place.

L'Officina by Dunne & Crescenzi (Kildare)
Kildare Chic Outlet Shopping Village, Kildare, Kildare Town, Kildare

Lunched here recently. It is a very busy spot. I had the bruschetta and a risotto. The bruschetta was nice. The risotto (bacon and mushroom) was tasty but very, very salty which was a pity. The staff were mostly patient and helpful. Overall I would say it met expected standards but wasn't outstanding in any way.

profile_review

Tamarind (Salthill)
157 Upper Salthill, Salthill, Galway City, Galway

Dinner was good and is always nice. There is very consistent standard here both for food and service and that is why I keep coming back. The location is good too and it's a lovely spot when it's Sunny out. It is not a Wow restaurant for me but I would still strongly recommend it.

profile_review

Peploes Wine Bistro
16 St Stephen's Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

Had a very nice dinner here recently. I thought the food was done very well and typical of the type of establishment it was. The service was excellent throughout. I would highly recommend the Venison. I regret I did not have enough room to try a dessert as they sounded delicious.

Ravi's Kitchen - duplicate
174 Pembroke Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin

We arrived here for lunch at 1pm on a Monday. We were the first to arrive and the restaurant remained fairly quiet. She had the Yaki Soba and I had the Yaki Udon and if I'm honest I'll admit I've had nicer. She agreed. That being said it wasn't bad and I believe Sushi is where the restaurant really excels. I'd would try this restaurant again.

Marios (Ranelagh)
39 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

4 of us gathered at Marios for a casual meet up. We ordered garlic bread, 2 pastas, a pizza and a chicken dish. All of the dishes we tried were very tasty. I thought there was a wide range of choice on the menu, the pasta dishes especially were very interesting. The place was very busy all evening and no wonder, good Italian restaurants always are. I found the prices to be reasonable and the servers very attentive and helpful.

profile_review

Yamamori Noodles
71-72 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Arrived without a booking but we were seated straight away. We were then provided with complementary green tea while we looked over the menu. There were lots of wonderful sounding dishes to choose from but in the end we both went for Noodle dishes and we ordered a bottle of the rose wine to drink. The wine was very nice indeed as were the noodle dishes which managed to both be delicious and allow us to feel as if we'd been healthy. Despite the almost bench like seating we still felt we had plenty of space and privacy to chat and on leaving we agreed that the evening had been very pleasant.

Saba
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Finally got to eat at SABA. The food was really very good as was the wine I had (Shiraz). I was there with my boyfriend I did feel the place was maybe more suited to dining with a crowd. I would go back again to see.

harbor bar and grill
dun laoghaire, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

A bad experience. Place was fairly empty (and dark) when we arrived. We went in and as we were not approached we seated ourselves after a few minutes. We had to go to the bar to order. I had the Calamari which I must admit was delicious and the portion generous. The main problem was other "patrons" of the bar decided to pull themselves around a table to one side of us and watch the match on the TV to the other side of us (looking over us) with full noise effects etc. It was so obnoxious it was impossible to enjoy dining there.

profile_review

L'Gueuleton
No 1 Fade Street, Off Georges's Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate here during Dine in Dublin week with two friends. The food was good, enjoyable but not really to my taste as I'm not really a fan of meat heavy dishes. The French onion soup was not as good as I've had it elsewhere. The deserts were great though. It is good value for money as we were very full after 3 courses. It was hard to get the attention of the waiters at times and a request for more milk for our tea was forgotten. My friends also felt that it did not live up to our admittedly very high expectations going in. Like me they felt the restaurant was good not great. Overall though I can however see how you'd love the place if you were a fan of French food.

Eddie Rockets (Dame Street)
Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

The best Eddie Rockets in town, in some cases by a lot. Staff were excellent and moved us to a better seat when one became available - as promised. Very efficient, orders taken and delivered quickly. Food was very tasty too. I enjoyed my visit.

The Nuthouse
Howth Road, North Dublin, Clontarf, Dublin

Ate here again on Saturday morning. They do a lovely breakfast, lots of options, the bagels are very good. Have recently been here in the evening too. Was very suprised at how different it looked done up for the evening - not too bad. Desert, apple pie with ice cream, was a highlight for me.

Il Vignardo
Beresford Hotel, 21 Store Street, City Centre North, IFSC, Dublin

Had a great meal here on Thursday evening. We both had pasta dishes and both were very nice. We had garlic bread to start and this was really, really nice and the portion size very generous. Wine was just okay... poor choice on our part. Really good value restaurant, I would recommend it.

profile_review

Hemmingways
2B Vernon Avenue, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

Had a lovely dinner here on Saturday night. The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere and delicious unusually flavoured food. I thought it was excellent. The server was very busy though and slightly disorganised because of it but that just added character to a small charming restaurant.

profile_review

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

There was nothing wrong with this place per say but I just didn't love it. The food was fine although one of the girls complained that her pizza tasted carroty (it was a margherita pizza). The early bird deal is great especially the reduced price wines and the atmosphere is certainly lively but I just don't feel inspired to return as there was no real wow factor for me.

profile_review

Mexico to Rome
23 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Visited here with a friend last night. We both ate off the early bird menu and we both ordered the bruscetta to start. It was really good. I had the pasta carbonara and she had the pasta fungi as a main. Both were heavy on the cream and the cheese so they were nice but not exactly the healthy option. We both agreed her glass of house white was nicer then my glass of rose proscetto which was good if a tad sour. An overall enjoyable and quick meal.

Koh
6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Great! Asked for a table for two at twenty to 7. Asked to wait 10 minutes for a table to clear. Seated approximately 15 minutes later and was disappointed not to be offered the early bird menu. Oh well. Had the mussels in Thai red curry. Was a huge portion and was delicious. Couldn't eat it all but was very full leaving. Overall liked the place, the Rioja I tried was very tasty too.

profile_review

Siam Thai (Malahide)
1 The Green, North Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Was here for dinner on Sunday at 5pm. Seated by the window, was lovely and comfortable inside whilst looking out at the drizzle. Nice atmosphere, plenty of people here for Sunday lunch. My food was nice, spicier than rated on the menu but I'm not complaining. Boyfriend's Thai Green curry was however less spicy than advertised but still good. Nicely full after starters and a main course. Good value early bird.

profile_review

Restaurant Ten Fourteen
324 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin

Ate here on Sunday evening and really enjoyed it. The service was excellent as was the food. We were given a delicious pre-starter from the chef. Water was regularly refilled, specials explained in detail and both starters and mains for both of us were a excellent mix of flavours and the wine was also lovely and reasonable. Had a great time.

profile_review

Bonga Korean BBQ
52 Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Ate here last Thursday. Food was lovely, great choice and flavours. Bit too much seafood for my boyfriends liking but I thought it was great. Service when required was friendly and efficient. I left impressed and well fed.

profile_review

The Exchange Restaurant and Cocktail Bar
The Westin Dublin, At College Green, Westmoreland Street, City Centre South, Dublin

The Exchange restaurant is great. The food is very tasty and the early bird menu very good value. It was fairly busy the evening we visited but not as busy at it deserves to be. The staff were the highlight of this experience, they couldn't have been more helpful. The setting was bright, airy and roomy, a far cry from the cramped dining conditions so often experienced in other city centre restaurants. I will return.

Jewel in the Crown (Ballsbridge)
41-43 Shelbourne Road, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Ate here last week with my sister and really enjoyed the experience. The appetisers were delicious and a good introduction to Indian food, which I hadn’t eaten much before, the main courses were delicious and the portions a good size. Good value too and the waiter more than happy to help. We had a great time and will be back.

profile_review

Chandni Restaurant
174 Pembroke Road, Ballsbridge, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Ate here yesterday with a friend, neither of us had been before. The food was lovely, the service not so good. We ate off the lunch menu and when we asked the waiter for another minute he came back to us after exactly 1 minute and told us “it’s not hard”. I felt rushed and a bit patronised, but overall I can’t feel too badly about it as the food was good as was the value. Given I suspect that the urgency may be related to the Christmas period I will not slate this restaurant, but given there are other restaurants just steps away, where I’ve had only good experiences, I may not be back.

Millers Pizza Kitchens
50 Upper Baggot Street, Dublin 4, City Centre South, Dublin

Since learning of Millers restaurant on Baggot Street earlier this year, it has become a regular spot where a friend and I meet to lunch and catch up. We really love this restaurant and there are many good reasons why. Tuesday especially I had the prawn satay pizza, my friend had the millers classic pizza. The staff served us speedily and were more than happy to make a small change to the pizza garnishes for me. The pizzas are a good size, most unusually topped & each different pizza has a different flamboyant presentation. The pizza arrived quickly and was absolutely gorgeous. It was the perfect size for lunch too, I was full for ages. My friend found her pizza delicious too. We were both very happy when the bill came to just under 24 euro (before tip). A brilliant spot that ticks all the boxes.

profile_review

Eddie Rockets (O Connell Street)
O' Connell Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Ate here on Saturday when very hung-over. Found the onion rings and chocolate milkshake did the trick. This was the first time I ordered the onion rings here and I had been worried that it would only be a small portion but it was a good sized portion served with garlic mayonnaise that arrived which I was very happy with. Note however the onion rings are almost the same price as a burger so it's probably better value to get a burger in general. Overall I had a good experience here (as usual). Note 2: The tap water here is really nice, nicer than most bottled water, but maybe that's the hangover speaking.

profile_review

Boulevard Cafe
27 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

One of the best things about Boulevard Café is the desserts which look gorgeous and taste just as good, the banoffee pie in particular. 3 of us went there last Tuesday on recommendation from other friends of mine. We had the garlic bread between us to start and it was simply divine, warm and juicy and really good. We tried the Penne Guilleamo, Pizza Bianco Verde and a Thai Chicken pizza for our mains. I had the Thai Chicken pizza which was well presented with sizable pieces of chicken and peanuts in the sauce which were most unusual and really good. Both of the girls were also delighted both with their choice and with the level of choice on the menu, there were so many things we would have liked to have tried. Feeling pleasantly full but indulgent we couldn’t refuse when presented with the dessert menu. The staff were most helpful in advising us on our choices and most attentive during the meal. Boulevard Café was a really nice restaurant and one I will be returning to as soon as possible.

profile_review

Eddie Rockets (Parnell Centre)
Parnell Centre, City Centre North, Dublin

Enjoyed Eddie Rockets last night even if they did ask if I was done before I’d finished ordering and took my cutlery away when I was still eating. The food (vegetarian burger) while good was less good than I’ve had previously (less sauce on the burger) in other outlets. The strawberry milkshake was as good as ever. Usual Eddie Rockets fare really. Nice food and you know what you’re gonna get. Mr CousCous also found his fries to be undercooked but enjoyed his meal overall.

Siam Thai (Andrews Street)
14/15 Andrews Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate here last night. Great atmosphere. 5 of us dining and we got a brilliant table right in the window. Decor was lovely as was the food which we ordered from the pre theatre menu. All 5 of us were delighted with our choices. We had desserts afterwards, all of which we would recommend but the pavolova definitely topped the lot. A small problem with the bill (charged for our food from the non pre theatre menu) was quickly resolved. This is a fantastic, welcoming restaurant and we didn’t feel rushed at any stage. We will be back.
