HQ Restaurant & Gastro Bar
Hanover Quay, Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Went here for brunch with two friends. The food was all good ...They had a fry and omelette and I had brioche french toast. My dish came \"with summer berries \" which literally was 2 raspberries and 1 strawberry so they were a bit stingy on that! Lovely setting tho, average pricing. Service was ok...friendly but they didn\'t check if we wanted anything / if we were happy with food etc so could have been better.

Peploes Wine Bistro

Fantastic place...cant belive I\'ve not been here sooner! Was amazing good, great atmosphere and service. Pricey but accurate pricing for the food and service and definitely worth it for a special occasion.

Reeds @ Ferrycarrig Hotel
Ferrycarrig Bridge, Wexford, Wexford Town, Wexford

Best hotel meal I\'ve ever had! This restaurant really deserves credit...It was the best part of our hotel stay. Ate here as part of our hotel package and enjoyed the meal so much. Goats cheese and confit of duck for starters which were both beautiful and beautifully presented. These were followed by two steaks cooked to perfection with a generous side of veg and potato. The chocolate trio dessert was to die for and the service was outstanding. Would highly recommend.

The Great Wood
Westend Shopping Park, Westend Commercial Village, Blanchardstown, Dublin

I\'ve eaten in many wetherspoons across the UK before so know what to expect...how to order, the offers they have, the standard to expect etc....but I was really disappointed with the food here. I know it\'s never going to be gourmet cuisine but we ordered chicken tenders with chips and a pill cheese steak sandwich in the afternoon and thr service was prompt but when the food arrived to the table it tasted like it had been sitting under heat lamps a whlie and/or reheated. The chips were awful (no excuse not to have home made chips in any establishment these days anyway but these were particularly bad) and the rest of the food just tasted rubbery. Wetherspoons in England for me is like the safe bet where I know it won\'t be the best food but it will be edible. Not so much here. The bar decor is lovely and I would definitely return for a drink....but not the food.

Thomas Moore Tavern
Cornmarket | Wexford, Wexford, Ireland, Wexford Town, Wexford

Went here with my husband and 1 year old for dinner at 6pm. Was a much nicer menu and standard than we had expected considering we were going for bar food. Duck spring rolls and chicken wings to start....Both delicious. The spring rolls actually had pieces of duck mixed into side salad as well so very generous...although the chips thrown in with spring rolls was a bit unnecessary considering it was only a starter!. We had beef burger and chicken curry for mains. There was two types of curry on offer but the persian option seemed a little pricey so I went for the regular option....which was amazing...nicest curry I\'ve ever had even in Indian restaurants. Presentation was lovely too. The burger had to be the biggest burger I\'ve ever seen. We had no room for dessert so left it at that! It\'s restaurant pricing but deservedly so as it\'s restaurant quality and the service was friendly too. Would highly recommend.

Smokin Bones
34 Dame St, Dame Street, Dublin

Went here on a voucher we got and it was excellent! Proper authentic bbq place - rough and ready as these places tend to be but friendly service, great food, and in a nice location. Only downfall was there was only one toilet and it could have done with a bit of a clean (not dirty, just untidy/floor needed sweeping!) but food was great...a meat feast.

Asador
1 Victoria House, Haddington Road, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Went here for Father's Day lunch and it was just great. The service was extremely attentive and it was lovely to be in a bbq place that was still upmarket and felt like a proper dining experience! Steaks were cooked to order, burgers were delicious and atmosphere lovely. Will definitely return.

Cleaver East By Oliver Dunne
6-8 East Essex Street, , Temple Bar, Dublin 2 , Temple Bar, Dublin

Absolutely gorgeous food here - we went using a voucher for their "Pornburger" (!) which was just amazing. We went at lunchtime on a sunny saturday so the atmosphere wasn't the best as there weren't many people here but we'll definitely go back for an evening meal as the menu is fab, a really nice setting and the staff are super friendly.

Excellent spot for brunch - we were glad we made a booking as it was so busy when we arrived. Was well worth a visit and we'll definitely be back!

Rosatos
Malin Road, Moville, Donegal

Got a great welcome here and well looked after. We shared a bruschetta starter but hadn't read the menu properly and didnt see it was a cheese and sun dried tomato paste topping rather than traditional tomato. Was still nice if a bit unexpected! Special pasta dish was yum as was the pizza. Would recommend.

Inish Fusion
Malin Road, Moville, Moville, Donegal

Great food...huge portions! And great value with extra friendly service. The menu had a great variety and the early bird deal was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Drift Inn
Railway Road, Buncrana, Donegal

This is very much a pub but the food is top notch restaurant quality. I had fish and chips and the batter on the fish was so light and fresh it was fab. My husband had the venison special which was gorgeous too...only downside was there wasn't enough of it! We didn't have starters or desserts as we were under time pressure but the complimentary cup of soup was delicious. Chef stopped by to chat which was also a nice touch.

profile_review

Wildes @ Lisloughrey Lodge
The Quay, Cong, Cong, Mayo

Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, and am only slightly marking it down based on the service being a little chaotic (ie frazzled young staff who perhaps needed a little training) but apart from that it was absolutely superb. We had a package with Dinner in Wilde's as part of our stay, although the dinner package was actually very reasonable for anyone who wants to try it...especially as it's a four course meal but there are so many "surprise" courses! The chef could be going for a michelin, it's that good. It was a real dining feast for the senses and is well worth a visit for anyone into food!

profile_review

JW's Brasserie Restaurant @ The Wyatt Hotel
The Octagon, Westport, Mayo

Ate here over Easter weekend and it was really lovely. Good Friday so there were plenty of people dining there in order to be able to avail of a drink too! Steak and Caesar Salad were had for mains and both were delicious. Would highly recommend.

profile_review

JJ O'Malleys

Went here over Easter weekend and really enjoyed it. The service was excellent and the food was scrumptious! Definitely will go back next time I'm in Westport.

profile_review

Scotch Bonnet Urban Cafe
4 Church Road, South Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Good value and nice atmosphere but wasn't as good as I expected it to be! The service was a little inconsistent so staff training could do with a little improvement. The food is typical family / american diner style food. The wings, ribs and potato skins were all good, but the "best burger in ireland" was a little bland and perhaps not worthy of its title! A good dessert menu with great chocolate fudge cake but trying to establish what flavour ice-cream was in their ice-cream sundae was like pulling teeth. Still a nice place to go and would be a good place to go with kids or a group.

profile_review

The Mint Leaf (Dunboyne)
Summerhill Road, Dunboyne, Meath

While the service was friendly and the place had a nice buzz, the food wasn't brilliant. The menu was small, which was fine if you get guaranteed good dishes, but the steak was requested medium-rare and came out medium-well and was served with undercooked chips...overcooked steak with undercooked chips was not what we expected! The chicken stuffed was spinach was nice if a little tough and the bed of mashed potato was a bit lumpy. The starters and dessert however were good (wings and stuffed mushrooms / brownie and ice-cream). A nice evening but not the nicest restaurant in Dunboyne so was disappointed as had been looking forward to going.

profile_review

Pacifico Restaurant & Grill
Marine Court, The Green, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

Went here on the menupages voucher (2 starters, 2 mains for 28euro) Was a lovely atmosphere and very friendly service from the waitress (though male host who sat us was a little bit surly!) Had ribs and nachos to start and fajitas for mains. All good food, good quality and generous portions.

Amazing Indian restaurant with a great selection of dishes, really friendly service and a lovely buzz around the place! Would highly recommend - possibly the best restaurant in Monaghan town.

profile_review

Mexico to Rome
23 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Availed of my menupoints here and got a free course for 2000 points. Even without the menupoints, Mexico to Rome is great value for money. The food was good, although the menu could be cut down to include more Mexican and Italian food without introducing other cuisines into the equation (asian stir-fries, burgers etc). Some pizzas on the menu and more of a range of pasta dishes would have been good. Service was good if a little haphazard (the restaurant was extremely busy though) and the tables are far too close together but all in all a good deal to be had.

profile_review

Odessa
13 Dame Court, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Such a great place for brunch - which it seems everyone in Dublin already knows about! The atmosphere, service and range of choice on the menu was great. My own selection probably wasn't the best choice - Huevos Rancheros, as it was a tad messy and a little all over the plate, but was tasty nonetheless. Smoothies are extremely good! A nice place to while away a morning/afternoon!

profile_review

McGettigans Cookhouse and Bar
Amiens Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Went to McGettigans yesterday evening for an early evening meal. Absolutely fabulous spot. Don't let the neighbourhood of Talbot Street / Amiens Street put you off - once you're in here, it's a different world. Really great venue with a wide range of beers and cocktails, an open kitchen and a fab menu to choose from. 100% beef burger was amazing and the steaks are really good too. As for the HUGE brownie we had for dessert - yum! Will definitely be back for drinks as they have a really good outside terrace under the arches of the railway track. Just across from Connolly Station, this is a great spot in the North Star Hotel - well worth a visit.

profile_review

Fallon and Byrne
11-17 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here for light bites and drinks to the wine cellar - absolutely lovely spot, great food, great wine and great service - a definite must-try.

profile_review

Carluccio's Caffe
52 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Great buzzy atmosphere, great food and absolutely brilliant value! 2 courses for 14.95 - can't go wrong! And even the main menu is still pretty good value too. Didn't look too appealing to me from the outside (a bit too cafe-ish and not very restaurant-y!) but a lovely bright and airy spot once you're inside and seated.

profile_review

Herbstreet
Hanover Quay, Dublin 2 , Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Food here is good but the menu is somewhat limited in options and could do with a bit of a refresh at this stage. The venue itself is lovely though and great for a summer brunch or lunch. Ask for a table outside if booking on a sunny day!

profile_review

The Brazen Head
20 Lower Bridge Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Great service and atmosphere in this pub. Food was lovely - fairly typical pub grub but definitely worth a visit.

profile_review

Terra Madre Cafe
13A Bachelors Walk, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

What a find! Authentic italian food, waiters - even the customers were italian! A tiny little basement restaurant on the quays that is very informal but very genuine. Menu is small and place is too so don't expect silver service but what it lacks in finesse it makes up for in authenticity and quality.

profile_review

Inchydoney Island Lodge and Spa
Main Street, Clonakilty, Cork

This appears to cover the Inchydoney Island Hotel restaurant (gulfstream) and bar (dunes) - both of which serve food but are very different! The Gulfstream did amazing food but the atmosphere was a bit lacking - a typical hotel restaurant really but could be decorated to suit more of a dinner crowd. Food was great although pricy. The Dunes bar food was great too although way too over-priced for bar food. 26euro for a steak in what is essentially a country pub is too much. Good food but taking advantage of their location to charge those prices.

profile_review

Jamie's Italian
Pembroke District, Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14 , Dundrum, Dublin

Service, atmosphere and value was great, however I was disappointed with the food. Could just have been bad menu choices on our part but I thought some of the food was a little bland. While some of the dishes were quite unusual and looked really appealing they weren't as nice as expected. The mushroom fritti starters were gorgeous but the spaghetti fritti starters a bit tasteless. The penne arrabiata for mains was a bit flavourless - very spicy (as i'd been warned by waiter and as I love) but could have done with some actual flavour. Desserts also weren't a great selection so went for ice-cream but the flavours were a bit lacking and tasteless....got it with honeycomb crumble which was practically non-existent and the "fresh seasonal fruit" was actually a fruit coulis. Might sound pedantic but would have expected better. The service was really really excellent - couldn't be faulted, and the setting and atmosphere was brill, but would have expected more from the food.

profile_review

Carluccio's Caffe
52 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Had a wonderful evening here with a large group of friends. The serving staff were absolutely great - so friendly. While the menu was very "traditional" italian and at first glance didn't appear to have any of the more "Irish-Italian" dishes I'd normally go for, I was delighted to be challenged to try something a little bit different and perhaps out of my comfort zone. The food was absolutely delicious and great value for money - in particular the set menu. Would definitely return. A great family/group place.

profile_review

Pyg Restaurant
Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, South William Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

This place was a real gem - I was hesitant going for dinner in what effectively felt like an elegant shopping centre foodcourt, but by night the place is transformed and has a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious and was reasonable value for money.

profile_review

L Mulligan Grocer
18 Stoneybatter, Stoneybatter, Dublin

This is a really lovely pub and serves amazing homely comfort food - perfect for a winters evening! People posting disappointed reviews here probably had high expectations - be under no illusions - this is an old fashioned pub with rickety chairs but has a lovely traditional pub feel about it and serves restaurant quality food (at pub grub prices). Definitely worth a visit.

profile_review

Buenos Aires Grill
Unit 2 Castle Way, Golden Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had a lovely meal here on Friday evening - the place was very busy even though it was early in the evening. Would highly recommend for any meat lover. It's a little out of the way but worth the trip.

profile_review

Maximilians Bistro
Superquinn Shopping Centre, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

This recently re-decorated and re-named restaurant is still a gem! The food is delicious and great value for money, the staff are super friendly, and it has a lovely atmosphere around it. Don't let the location/surroundings put you off...once inside you won't want to leave!

profile_review

La Bucca Dunboyne
The Green Centre, Dunboyne Village, Dunboyne, Co. Meath, Dunboyne, Meath

Ate here last night for the second time in the last few months and have to say this place is top notch!! The food is amazing, the atmosphere lovely and the service great. The restaurant is very family friendly - we went as a couple, but it seems to cater for every type of customer and they seat people cleverly /accordingly! Well worth the trip to Dunboyne, will definitely go back.

profile_review

Dakota
South William Street, South William Street, Dublin

Have been to Dakota before and enjoyed it but only getting to post a review on it following my visit there saturday night. The service here is top notch, with the waiter being lovely and friendly even though he was slammed busy. The wings and nachos were great - served as tapas or starters, then large caesar salads as mains. Would highly recommend for pub grub before a night on the town!

profile_review

Hemidemisemiquaver Bar
The Gibson Hotel, Point Village, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

The Gibson really needs to promote their menu if they want to promote their business. There is no menu on this website or on their own (in fact their own website is very poor). For such a fantastic venue and original design, they should work on this in order to have more people coming through the doors. We went for a work lunch in the bar here and the food was good...the service was even better, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere to relieve the stresses of the working day! Will go again for lunch, but I'm sure they'll find it difficult to get first-timers in the door.

profile_review

The Butcher Grill
92 Ranelagh Village, South Dublin, Ranelagh, Dublin

An absolutely fabulous spot - amazing food. The restaurant is very intimate and it does take a while to get used to the fact that you're practically joining in on neighbouring diners conversations, but once you get over that, The Butcher Grill is a great spot! Ribs followed by Cote de Bouef followed by a chocolate mousse were all devoured and were SO tasty! The service was excellent as well - a very friendly, relaxed attitude from the staff - great spot.

profile_review

Le Bon Crubeen
81-82 Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Great food but disappointed with the ambience - was expecting a very traditional style of French setting and ambience but it was all very trendy minimalist - wooden floors, marble topped tables, funky music, bright lighting etc. The food was excellent however and could not be faulted. A few candles and cosier atmosphere would perfect the setting. Service was mixed - for the most part very good with one male member of staff being extremely helpful and friendly...think our main waitress may have been a trainee as she was a little scatty!

profile_review

Kitchen
3 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

The service was excellent in Kitchen and the value for money great too. We felt there could have been a little more choice on the menu, or a wider range of foods available (we only noticed the specials board on our way out and hadn't been advised of any when being served) but apart from that it was a lovely place to go in a great location in Dublin city centre.

profile_review

Ripleys Steak House
Butterslip Lane (off Kieran St), Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Great service and excellent food. I had the cajun chicken caesar for starters which was more like a main and the steak was fab...with home made chips too! The service for our group of ten was seamless - couldn't fault it. Would highly recommend.

profile_review

Herbstreet
Hanover Quay, Dublin 2 , Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Went here for weekend brunch and was really impressed. The place had a great buzz about it and the staff were extremely friendly. Food was delicious and quite an unusual range of choices on the menu - would definitely recommend.

profile_review

The Olive Grove
Custume Pier, Athlone, Westmeath

Went here on a recommendation of a friend and would definitely pass the recommendation on! The food, service and value for money was exceptional. Tandoori Chicken starter was HUGE and delicious and the steak was melt in the mouth. Couldn't fault it.

profile_review

Master Deery's
Market Street, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

Master Deerys is an extremely reliable restaurant - probably the best in monaghan - with great food and great value for money. The service was very efficient when I last ate there, though bordered on being a little too speedy and keen to serve the next course so we felt slightly rushed though I do appreciate it was an extremely busy night and the staff were probably just trying to keep on top of things! Otherwise an excellent place to eat.

profile_review

The Yellow Pepper Restaurant
36 Lower Main Street, Letterkenny, Donegal

Was here with a hen party at the weekend, and though it's not a typical hen party place (place was full of couples and families when we arrived) we were met with a very warm welcome and given an area off the main restaurant all to ourselves which perfectly suited our size of group. The service was absolutely excellent even though we were not the quietest crowd, and the food was gorgeous with not one complaint among us. We had the set menu at 35 per person - duck spring rolls, chilli chicken and profiteroles all come highly recommended! Couldn't fault it...thanks to all the staff, you made a group of monaghan girls very happy!

Eithna's Seafood Restaurant
The Harbour, Mullaghmore, Mullaghmore, Sligo

This restaurant is absolutely amazing - very homely, with gorgeous food and a lovely atmosphere. Well worth the trip.

profile_review

Il Caffe di Napoli
41 Westland Row, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

This place looks just like a coffee shop from the outside but once you go inside you'll see that there is more than just a panini/coffee bar upstairs, and downstairs is a lovely restaurant. I visited here for lunch and the food and service were excellent, and very authentic. Looking forward to returning for dinner!

profile_review

Milano (Baggot Street)
1 - 2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, City Centre South, Dublin

We availed of both the sunshine and one of the many meal deal vouchers that Milano are issuing these days to go for dinner on the outside deck by the canal this week. As usual the food was great and the service very friendly. We didn't feel rushed even though they had people waiting on tables. A lovely place to go on a sunny evening.

Eastern Balti House
31-32 Market Street, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

This is the best indian restaurant I've been to in a long time. The food is absolutely fabulous, the service is great and it's great value for money. Well worth a visit.

Hole In The Wall Phoenix Park
Blackhorse Avenue, Navan Road, Dublin

The Hole in the Wall is a gorgeous pub and a real hidden gem. We had dinner here last night and whilst the service and atmosphere was great, the food could have been a little better. I had the fish and chips which was very greasy, but the rest of the food was good. Will still go back!

profile_review

The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Such a lovely place - great atmosphere, warm and cosy, food was fab, wine delicious and service friendly - couldn't fault it!

profile_review

The Upper Deck duplicate
Harbour Road, Above the Waterside Pub, Howth, Dublin

Had a lovely early dinner here one sunny evening. The service was great and the food lovely - the only thing I would fault is that the tables are a little too close together inside so it can feel a little cramped. It would be lovely if we were able to eat outside in the beer garden but unfortunately this isn't an option. Would really recommend though.

profile_review

The Harbour Master Restaurant & Bar
Custom House Dock, I.F.S.C Dublin 1, IFSC, Dublin

The Harbourmaster seriously needs a good clean up - the smell here was absolutely disgusting - not sure if its due to the Luas works or their own building but it needs an overhaul as apart from the smell the seating needed recovering and it generally needs refreshing. Whilst the platters me and my friends got were ok (just ok!) and the service was fine, that is no good if you can't bear to sit there for very long.

profile_review

The Counter Dundrum
Pembroke District, (adjacent to the Mill Pond at Town Square), Dundrum, Dublin

OH MY GOD I LOVED THIS PLACE!! Chicken wings were amazing, build your own burger was HUGE (could only eat half!) and service really good. A tenner for a massive burger isn't bad and the side orders are big enough for two people. Definitely worth a try.

profile_review

Al Muretto - Re located
Forster Court, Galway City, Galway

This place is ideal for gangs! We also went there for a hen party and were treated so well by all the staff - not only was the atmosphere and service brilliant, but the food was excellent too so nothing was skimped on! Maybe not a great spot for a quiet romantic date but definitely great if you want a nights craic!

profile_review

Milano (Clarion Quay)
Unit 6, Excise Walk, Clarion Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre, IFSC, Dublin

Like all Milano restaurants, the food is great here, but the service in this particular restaurant is not as good as the one on Dawson Street. Also the venue can seem a little cold sometimes, so it's best to ask for a table as far away from the doors as possible! Once you dont mind the service not being amazing and get the right table, it's worth a visit though!

profile_review

MV Cill Airne Boat Bar & Restaurant
MV Cill Airne, North Wall Quay, Dublin 1, IFSC, Dublin

This is a great place to go for the novelty factor! The staff are lovely, and the food is good though nothing out of this world. The burgers are best but I do think some of the food is overpriced for what it is. Worth a visit though as the boat itself is a lovely setting and the staff are always friendly.

profile_review

Shanahan’s on the Green
119 St. Stephens Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

Myself and my boyfriend visited Shanahans for a special occasion and it was well worth the money and lived up to our expectations! It is expensive, however they do offer half portions for side orders and starters, so it didn't turn out to be as pricey as we had expected. The waiters were lovely, though some a little bit snooty, but we'd really recommend going. The portions (even the half ones!) are massive, so one side order per person is way more than enough, and one dessert shared is plenty as well! Try the oreo cheesecake - gorgeous!

profile_review

Maloti
34-35 South William Street, South William Street, Dublin

Went here last night and had the "all day menu" which was great value. Food was fabulous and the restaurant itself was lovely. The staff were not as friendly or pleasant as they had been in my previous visits though - they weren't rude, just not particularly helpful! Would still recommend though, and will definitely be back.

profile_review

McGills
Powerscourt Estate Enniskerry Ireland, Powerscourt, Wicklow

Even though this is "pub grub", considering it's in one of the most exclusive hotels in the country, I would have expected a little more. The food was average but it was the service which we found particularly sloppy. When ordering the food at the bar, we were treated with a gruff attitude, and though the food arrived on time and was ok, no-one once checked how everything was. The caesar salad starter had too much dressing on, and though potato croquettes for starters seems like a strange dish, it was good. The burgers were great though the chips a little overcooked. Would go back but I'm sure there are better places around to get a burger!

profile_review

Poppies (Enniskerry)
The Square, Enniskerry, Enniskerry, Wicklow

Can't understand how Poppies has received such positive reviews. Went here for lunch at the weekend and we got served overpriced reheated food, and we were sat at tables in a cramped space. You could possibly try it for coffee or dessert but I wouldn't be going back for lunch again. The lasagne we had was microwaved and tiny, and too expensive at over a tenner a portion.

profile_review

Odessa

Finally made it to Odessa after hearing so many good things, and they're all true. The service and atmosphere are excellent, the food was extremely tasty, with a great range of specials available, and it was all very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

Dobbins Restaurant
15 Stephen Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Dobbins is a great restaurant, though in a hard to find location! The food and service are both excellent here and the value is good if you go for an early bird special set menu at €25 per person - the variety of foods available is great!

profile_review

Jimmy Chungs
Eden Quay, City Centre North, Dublin

Jimmy Chungs is FAB!! A really nice all you can eat restaurant with lovely atmosphere and extra friendly service. A massive range of foods available, and it's always busy so the food is regularly refreshed. Would go there just for the duck pancakes. Perfect for a pigout!

Really great new Thai restaurant on the lovely Millenium Walkway. The service was great, with the staff more than helpful and flexible when it came to special requests. The atmosphere was great and I would definitely recommend! Ask for one of their private rooms if there's a group of you!

Mustard Gourmet Pizza & Burger Bar - Closed
1 Middle Street, Galway City, Galway

Excellent place to go in Galway city! The food here was delicious when I went for dinner at the weekend - we didn't have a reservation but were seated straight away. The staff were really friendly and the food was really tasty! It's a small enough restaurant so not ideal for large groups, but definitely worth a try.

profile_review

Salamanca
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Salamanca is one of the few tapas restaurants in Dublin and is well worth a visit. The food isn't cheap (at least not compared to Spain!) but it is delicious and the service is outstanding. Unfortunately they don't take bookings so get there early to put your name down and go for a drink while you wait!

profile_review

Cactus Jacks (Middle Abbey St)
Millennium Walkway, Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Excellent spot for Mexican food in a city that doesn't have a great selection of Mexican places. Cactus Jacks also does burgers and other types of food but I opted for the chilli cheese nachos followed by fajitas and wasn't disappointed! The service was so efficient with our group of 20 people and the food was great!

profile_review

Tante Zoes
1 Crow Street, Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

The food here is delicious, the only criticism I would have is that it wasn't very hot coming to the table - the service was speedy so I can't understand how the food could possibly have been less than hot if it was freshly cooked, but will certainly be going back to give it another try regardless. The atmosphere and service were both excellent.

Just ok. The food was good but not exactly piping hot when it was served to us. The atmosphere wasn't great when we were there but that could just have been as it was early in the evening and a little too quiet. Reasonably priced but the menu isn't as wide ranging as other Indian restaurants.

This place is fantastic - the downstairs area has such a lovely atmosphere and the service is second to none. Highly recommend.

Saba
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Saba have got greedy for money. When i previously visited here I thought it was great with a really good atmosphere - but since returning, having spent weeks trying to secure a booking, I think they're milking their reputation and trying to get as much money as fast as possible. We were told we could have the table for two hours which was absolutely fine, but once seated (having arrived on time) we couldn't help but feel they wanted to get us in and out as quickly as possible, even though there were other tables vacant. Whilst speedy and efficient service is great, if I wanted fast food I would have went to a burger bar. Having ordered our starters and mains, the starters arrived within two minutes, and the mains arrived swiftly after our starters were cleared - we felt that we were not allowed time to enjoy the food at all. As an attempt to slow things down a little, we asked to hold off on ordering desserts, but the waiter returned only a minute later and plonked the dessert menu in front of us so we were again rushed to order. Good food and nice atmosphere but disappointing and there are other equally nice restaurants I will go to instead from now on.

Taco Taco
Unit 19 Epicurean Food Hall, Liffey Street Lower, City Centre North, Dublin

Excellent fast Mexican food! Great for a quick lunch. This place has got such great overall reviews from this website, they've stuck up print-offs from Menupages on their counter! Great food and excellent value for money.

The Dining Room

Beautiful setting but quite pretentious food. Worth a visit though.

The Mint Bar
The Westin Hotel, College Green, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Great bar food here - it's essentially just pub grub so if you want something fancy go to their restaurant instead but the food is delicious, and the service excellent.

The Woolshed Baa & Grill
Parnell Street, The junction of Jervis street and Parnell street., City Centre North, Dublin

Excellent place to go before or after the cinema...or any time in fact! Great food, and so so reasonably priced. Really good atmosphere here too so it's a place you could easily spend a long evening!

T.P. Smiths Bar & Restaurant
9-10 Jervis Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Not the nicest pub in the city centre, but the food is good. Always seems to be overly busy and nothing seems to be completely clean all the time - not dirty, just glasses on tables etc. Would still go though if you're looking for a bit of pub grub on the northside. Recommend the lasagne!

Fagans
Drumcondra, Drumcondra, Dublin

Go for the chicken curry - it's delicious! Fagans is an institution at this stage - great drinks, great pub, with great food. I would return here again and again!

Thunder Road Cafe
Fleet Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

I used to think this was always just a greasy food haven, but the food here is actually quite varied and tasty. It's a typical American diner style place, but great if you're going in a gang to line the stomach for a night out on the beer. The service was excellent when we went as a party of 12 and nothing was too much trouble for the wait staff.

Kobra
Leeson Court Hotel, 26/27 Leeson Street Lower, City Centre South, Dublin

This is the best place in Leeson Street area to go for lunch! It's really chilled out, and the food is brilliant. It can sometimes be difficult to get a table, so advisable to book or go early. Go for Chilli Thursdays - it's excellent!

Beaumont House
1 Shantalla Road Beaumont, Beaumont, Dublin

Food is just ok here, but the worst thing is that it is sooo expensive, and not sure how they can condone their prices, considering this is dearer than most city centre eateries.

Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Brilliant spot to go in the build-up to Xmas - has a lovely festive atmosphere. The food is really varied so something for everyone but the pizzas are still the best!

Trocadero
St Andrew Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Really nice restaurant! Had always passed it by as didnt think it looked like much from the outside, and only went as a gang of friends were going, but didnt regret it - the steaks are AMAZING!

Independent Pizza Co
28 Drumcondra Rd Lower, Dublin 9, Drumcondra, Dublin

Best place to eat in Drumcondra! Definitely worth a try - the restaurant can be cramped, but that's only a testimony to the quality of food as it is so popular. Well worth a try!

Ciao Bella Roma
24/25 Parliament Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Highly recommend Ciao Bella for their early bird menu - such good value and so much food! The setting isn't the prettiest, and the service can vary from terrible to brilliant, but the food is excellent and great value for money. Try the diavola - delicious.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

This place is excellent! Can highly recommend it for both lunch and dinner. It's great for a romantic dinner for two, or if you're in a gang - the restaurant is so big, it will have a table to suit you and your guests! Can't even choose something to recommend off the menu, it's all so good. Try to avoid getting seated in the basement - the ground or upper floors are much better. Been to the Luigi's in Cork also and it was equally as good.

Fitzsimons
21-22 Wellington Quay, Temple Bar , Temple Bar, Dublin

Fitzsimons is a pub/nightclub and should only be visited for drinking and dancing - while the food was good, a lunchtime visit will tell you that the place needs a good air out, due to the smell of last nights drink, sweat etc. Food ok, but wouldn't say eating there is a pleasant experience.

The Porterhouse (Parliament Street)
Parliament Street le Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

The Porterhouse is a great pub in the wintertime, although any time of year is great for their burgers! Come here if you're heading on a night out in Temple Bar and want to line the stomach - the "Smokey" burger is delicious, and their wings are great. Add their homebrew beer to the mix and it’s the start of a good night!

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Just don't get the hype about this place - so disappointing. Was here recently for a client lunch and it was more like a canteen than a restaurant. The food was way overpriced, and very disappointing. Would not go back. The location may be good, but can't understand what is bringing people here.

The Norseman Bar & Restaurant
28 Essex Street, Temple Bar, Dublin

Farringtons is THE best place to go in Temple Bar for lunch. Make sure to go upstairs to get away from the darkness of the bar. The portions are huge; the menu really varied considering it's quite a small pub. Try their club sandwich or their stir-fry - well worth a visit!

Acapulco Restaurant
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

The service was good but Acapulco needs more staff - you could tell they were under pressure, though with that, they still did a great job of making sure we were well looked after. This would be a great place for a gang to go to - myself and my boyfriend went on a Thursday evening and the place was jammed, with a really good atmosphere. The food was good enough - typical Mexican fare really. My one complaint would be that they need air conditioning - we didn’t stay for dessert purely because it was too hot by the end of our meal.... that plus the sight of a waiter with sweat dripping down his face as he served food was not appetising!

Casa Pasta (Clontarf)
55 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

Took a chance on this place whilst on our way to Howth one Sunday evening looking for a restaurant, and would definitely go back. The restaurant was busy and though we didn’t have a reservation, the waitress accommodated us. This is a great family restaurant, which also seemed to be popular for takeaway pizzas. Would highly recommend their chicken and bacon pasta!

Millers Pizza Kitchens
50 Upper Baggot Street, Dublin 4, City Centre South, Dublin

I have been here a few times, but most recently went to Millers for my birthday with 8 friends, and we all thought it was excellent. The service was brilliant, with the waiter’s patient, friendly and really helpful. The food is outstanding, and very reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is very small, so booking is advisable and prepare to be sitting close to other diners, but the food makes up for all that!

Marios (Terenure)
103 Terenure Road East, Dublin 6, Terenure, Dublin

Went to Mario’s for a quick late bite to eat on Sunday night, and were seated straight away. The service started off well, but faded a little towards the end of our meal, with no-one checking if we were happy for our food, and I had to ask a waitress to bring us the bill after sitting for a quite a time with our empty plates in front of us. They were quite busy, but I would not say run off their feet, so wouldn't see this as a reason for not being more attentive. The food was good though, with decent sized portions, and of good quality. Think the restaurant would be good for a group of people, as it's busy and bustling with good sized tables for groups.
