Went here with 3 others after an event in the concert hall. The food and the service was super and a real treat. We all chose something different and no one was disappointed. I had goats cheese for starter which was perfect and the cod I had for main was cooked perfectly and served with an interesting side of crushed potatoes with little bits of orange! Random but beautiful. Would recommend a visit here.

It is hard to rate the value and the atmosphere when the service myself and my two friends received on Sunday for brunch was so bad. We had heard such good things about the place and I can only speak for myself when I say how disappointed I was. The restaurant is very popular and we waited outside for a table after talking to the staff. They advised they would call us once the table was ready (cramped to wait inside). We saw the table being vacated and cleaned etc but no one waved us in. After a few minutes we just went in. Fast forward to getting our drink and food - every item was hammered onto the table. At one stage my friend jumped as the waiter banged down the sugar for the coffee. Our food came after a substantial wait. After asking for our toast numerous times, he declared that he had burnt it twice to which we then received toast actually burnt on one side! Then when clearing the table the waiter was like a bull in a China Shop, he dropped cutlery and spilt some sauce on my hand and dress from a container on the table. I couldn't eat here again after the experience we had.

Angelina's
55 Percy Place, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Had brunch here today with my friend, best brunch we have tried so far in Dublin. Food was unbelievably good and really decent portions for the price. Value for money and the coffee was delicious. Lots of bigger groups of men and women and with the choice on the menu I can why it appeals. Will be back!

Fallon and Byrne
11-17 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I visited here last night for a friends birthday. We were scheduled to eat from the a la cart menu. The service was poor from the outset. The room was dimly lit for atmosphere but so dark we didn't know what we were eating! The bread selection was disappointing, 2 types and no soda/brown bread for example. The tomato bread tasted the same as the regular bread. We didn't order wine but were constantly asked did we want some, to the point I asked for the glasses to be removed. The food was definitely edible, but it was not a good portion size and the presentation was only ok. If I paid for this on an early bird price I may be more kind on rating overall but from the full price a la cart on a Wednesday night I expected much more. Also the dessert was very poor (the ice-cream) - was served in a tall glass, no substance to it and not on a plate or with a biscuit or anything. Also even through we highlighted the fact it was our friends bday there was no happy birthday on the non-existent plate or anything. The little touches do matter.

La Bodega Tapas y Vinos
93 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6 , Ranelagh, Dublin

Beautiful meal here tonight, each dish we got was delicious. Top dishes were the scallop and black pudding, chorizo and prawn, oh and the beef with onion and mushroom was so rich and warming. Clean plates! The dessert topped off a great meal, the warm chocolate fondant was a pleasant surprise. Will return!

Boulevard Cafe

A group of us attended for the early bird, very reasonable. We all had different starters and mains. Everyone cleaned the plate and enjoyed the whole experience. My duck, orange and mango salad was delicious and the salmon for main was perfect. Great for groups and couples. Decor very pleasant. \n\nHave arranged a return visit already!

Darwins
80 Aungier Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

This was another great visit to Darwins, the fillet steak and t-bone we had were amazing, the filet was especially melt in the mouth and the sides were also super (Spinach and the garlic mushrooms). People seem to enjoy themselves in this restaurant and the atmosphere is great as a result. Would recommend but not the day before payday!

Chilli Banana
112 Upper Drumcondra Road, North Dublin, Drumcondra, Dublin

Went here with my boyfriend, the restaurant itself is very nice. Really romantic setting but suitable for bigger groups. We got the ribs and spring rolls for starter and they were scrummy! plates were clean. The main came but neither of us enjoyed it. The portions were very small also. I had a hot chocolate for dessert and the dessert my boyfriend had seemed nice. We both went home for tea and toast, so would not recommend the food here.

The Gallery Restaurant at the Church
Junction of Mary St. & Jervis St., Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Went here with my boyfriend on the special offer. It was a Thursday night and we were a little squashed at our table, getting up involved a team effort from those around us! the food was really nice, however the desserts were a bit of a let down. the house wine was just perfect though! My boyfriend had the lemon sole but found the portion of fish to be rather small. the Lime chicken was amazing, real tanngy and different. Everything else was just right!

Went here last night with three others. Got to sit upstairs by the window. Lovely place, well decorated and spotless! We went for the buffet - great value! there were endless options and the food was just right. Everything was labelled and clear so you knew exactly what was what! the staff were great and friendly.Great for bigger groups too! there was no restrictions on plate size or trips to the food, or finishing everything. The bar was fully stocked too. Highly recommend!

The Bank on College Green
20-22 College Green, City Centre South, Dublin

Really enjoyed the Bank experience, the atmosphere was amazing (we sat upstairs) and the food was top class for a very reasonable price. Have also visited the Bank for drinks after the Ireland French rugby match and it was packed, would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to socialise with a good buzz.

Milano (Clarion Quay)
Unit 6, Excise Walk, Clarion Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre, IFSC, Dublin

Went here for lunch with my sister yesterday, they had a special offer of two mains for the price of one. We both went for pizza, lovely food, very tasty but the choice of toppings was a bit limited. we shared a garlic bread however it didnt really taste of garlic, or anything really! The service was speedy and overall great lunch destination.

Tante Zoes
1 Crow Street, Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here for our staff night out. Starter and mains were very good but the dessert was still frozen, just like they picked the cake out if the freezer. We were served with no haste and at one time, surprising as there was about 30 of us. The only thing was that we were a bit cramped on our tables, we all had to move and shuffle if someone wanted to go to the toilet etc. Overall a very good experience.
