This is an awful restaurant. I have no idea how they won an award . It must have changed ownership since they won the award, that\'s all I can say. Terrible food and unfriendly service.

Shangri-la Malaysian Chinese Restaurant

Takeaway quality food. Below average. The sauce for the sweet and sour dish had that cheap \"gloopy\" consistency. Bad value if paying restaurant prices. Will not be paying another visit in future.

Dall' Italiano
Harts Corner, North Dublin, Glasnevin, Dublin

This is a little gem of a restaurant. I was living nearby for quite a while before I discovered it and I am so glad I did. It's not a fancy restaurant and the menu is small but the pasta is always cooked to perfection and it's amazing value. I often drop in for a plate of pasta and glass of wine and I am never disappointed. Well worth a visit.

Shangri-la Malaysian Chinese Restaurant

Two of us visited Shangri-La with a voucher (€24 for 3 courses for 2 people). Starters ordered: Veg spring roll and Chicken curry triangles. Starters arrived: ONE SMALL veg spring roll on some lettuce. Two Chicken curry triangles which were really tasty. Mains ordered: Crispy Shredded chicken and boiled rice. Sweet & sour chicken and fried rice. Mains arrived: Takeaway quality mains with fried rice only. No boiled rice as ordered. When our mains plates were collected, the waiter asked did we want anything else. We said yes, we’ll look at the dessert menu please which was met with the response, “it’s ice cream only”. We said we would have one ice cream so and this turned out to be one small scoop of plain vanilla ice cream in a glass bowl. The meal not even worth €24. The food is not restaurant quality but your average local takeaway food. We were ripped off by this restaurant! Will not return!

Bloom Brasserie & Wine Bar
11 Upper Baggot Street, Dublin 4, City Centre South, Dublin

I had the two course pre-theatre (it’s €22 for two courses or €26 for three). The food was wonderful. The service is great and the two waiters are really friendly without being intrusive. I think they may be the owners. The restaurant interior is perfect. The menu is amazing. I will definitely be returning to try some of the other dishes on the menu.

Tuscany Bistro
9 Newtown Centre, Castletroy, Limerick

I ate here with 3 friends on Saturday night a few weeks ago. We changed the time of our booking a few times which was no problem and when we arrived at half 9, the place was buzzing. There were no tables available yet (we were a little early). The waitress was very accommodating and we were seated 10 mins later. It’s a small place and the atmosphere was lovely. Great menu – lots to choose from but I was slightly taken aback by the prices! I couldn’t decide between the three types of bruschetta and the waitress said that I could have a selection of the three so I chose the grilled veg and traditional tomato. They were beautifully presented on a black slate with some salad. They were o.k. Tomatoes very finely diced with usual ingredients and some balsamic, a bit dry - not very juicy. I was expecting more given the €7.95 price tag. For mains, I ordered the spaghetti All’ Amatriciana which is my favourite Italian dish. I have to say, I was really, really disappointed with it. Although the portion was very generous, it was drowned in sauce and the spaghetti was cooked to the point of being really soft. It was not good. I couldn’t enjoy it knowing that I was about to fork out €14.95 for it. My friends also each ordered a pasta dish which, again, were really generous portions but the pasta soft and too much sauce. The wine was nice - a bottle of malbec for €24. No desserts ordered, just two espressos.
