One of the best pubs and eatery in Malahide. Despite being recently refurbished and modernised, Duffy's Pub managed to keep its charm and conviviality. The ground and first floor are rather spacious with a modern feel to it and the roof garden is a favourite for sunny summer days. Duffys always have great food and drinks deals constantly changing so check the board. If you are after snacks, they offer a great deal of a pint or glass of wine + a snack for 6.50 euro. A bargain. I had a lovely glass of Riesling and tried the loaded potato skins which were amazing, the chicken wings which were really tasty altho rather too spicy and the cheese plate which had a nice selection. Not to mention that the staff are extremely friendly. I totally recommend this pub for a snack and a drink. Only little downside: they don't have a laser or credit card machine upstairs so you have to pay downstairs by card or have cash on you.

I had a voucher for Wagamama and decided to give it a go. I ordered a Yaki Soba and I have to say, I was very disappointed by it. It looked great on the plate, nice and colourful and the portion was very generous but it was very very plain. There was no flavours to it at all. I was glad I had a voucher as it was not worth the money really. However, even if I have to say that the food did not impress me at all, I should add that the level of service from the staff was quite high.

Guernika Pintxos & Tapas Bar
39 Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

I was so excited when I bought a voucher for 4 tapas and two glasses of wine for two online. The menu looked amazing and I love trying out new places. However, I hate to say this but it was highly disappointing. The house white wine was not too bad and the tapas were alright for the price we paid but when you look at the menu there is no way I would ever pay full price for this. The food was just ok, nothing exceptional and even for tapas dishes, the sizes were ridiculously small. Such a shame. The staff was very friendly and genuine but its is not enough to make me want to come back I am afraid. The value for money is pretty bad. Pity, Dublin could do with more tapas places.

Cape Greko (Malahide)
Unit 1 First Floor, New Street, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

Following a wonderful holiday and after falling in love with Greek food, my boyfriend and I decided to check this restaurant out. We went for an early bird menu. The choice was very good and the food was very tasty, I really cannot complain. The only bad thing about it is that we were really rushed by the waitresses. We had only sat down that they already wanted to know what we wanted to order and came again about 3 times in the following 5 minutes, we had barely time to go through the menu... Then the two courses followed one another way too quickly. We really feel like we were being rushed out for the next service and could not fully enjoy the experience. It's a shame since the food was so tasty....

Hush Brasserie
12A New Street Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

I went to this restaurant recently with my boyfriend and had a lovely time. We went for an early bird (which amazingly runs until 9pm!!!) and were really happy with the vast choice there was on the menu. The lobster bisque for starter was delicious and the chicken casserole with cinnamon was very tasty and unusual. Its always nice to try new combination of flavours. It is also really nice and cosy inside but can get quite stuffy so maybe try get a table near the window. To sum it up, this restaurant offers a great early bird menu at a very reasonable price. The only bad point about it is the price of the wine, it was quite steep so prepare a budget for it.

Chez Sara Wine Bar
3 Old Street, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

What a delightful place for a glass of wine! I rencently went to Chez Sara Wine Bar for a glass of Burgundy Pinot Noir and had a lovely time. The restaurant is small and cosy and even has an outdoor area at the back for sunny days. They have a vast selection of food and wine to choose from and the staff are really friendly. What I really liked about it as well is that it is not pretentious (unlike a few places in Malahide). A place to check out. Seriously recommend it!!!

Halfway House (Navan Road)
Ashtown, Navan Road, Dublin 7, Navan Road, Dublin

Great pub grub! I often go there on a Sunday for food and have never been disappointed. The food is very tasty and reasonably priced. They also do half portions which is really great if you do not feel too hungry. The pub itself is lovely and very traditional.

Lemon Jelly Cafe
Millennium Walkway, Jervis Street, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Just went there for a quick lunch today and I was quite disappointed. I ordered a crepe with spinach and chicken and by the time it got to me it was cold. I was not very impressed by the quality of the food. This is not a great value for money considering how little it costs to make crepes....

Port House Pintxo
12 Eustace Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

This is probably one of the best restaurants in Dublin. If you fancy a bite and do not feel like having a heavy dinner then this is the perfect place for you. You will not be disappointed by the extensive tapas menu they have to offer. It is very resonably priced and delicious. I go there on a regular basis and have never had a bad experience. The decor is fantastic and gives you a "holiday feel". Oh, and if you go there, do not forget to check out the toilets... seriously, it is worth a look...

The Phoenix Court Restaurant
Blackhorse Avenue (Over Cummiskey's), North Dublin, Dublin 7, Navan Road, Dublin

Lovely dinner stopover after a walk in the Phoenix park. This newly decorated restaurant is charming. It is reasonably priced and the food is lovely. The early bird menu is also really good value. I strongly recommend it!

Fallon and Byrne
11-17 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Perfect place for a relaxing lunch or a few glasses of wine and a cheeseboard after a hard day! I would definitely recommend the wine cellar downstairs. The wine list is very extensive and quite reasonably priced. You can get food from upstairs and bring it down or choose some nibbles from the menu. I would definitely recommend the cheeseboard! Delicious! The staff is very friendly too and will make you feel very welcome. One of the best places in Dublin!

O'Connell's Bar & Restaurant
30 Bachelors Walk (Beside O'Connell Bridge), City Centre North, Dublin

The food in Panama is really simple but very tasty. There you get a very good value for money. If you are a bit short of cash, try the chicken cesar salad, it will fill you up and its nice and cheap! Great option for the O'Connel st area.
