Mexico to Rome restaurant
23 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin, Area Code: Dublin 2
Reviewed 03rd November 2008 ( visited 24th October 2008 )I went back to try out some more great food & I wasn't disappointed. I had gorgeous sauteed mushrooms in a creamy sauce for started which was fab. My main course was the chicken in cream & white wine sauce which was also gorgeous. Did not have dessert was was full but if I was staying around dublin for the night, i would have stayed there & had my dessert & some wine.
Galileo Cafe Clonmel restaurant
4 Gladstone Street, Clonmel, Tipperary
Reviewed 22nd January 2009 ( visited 13th May 2007 )I only had a meal here once & it was nice but I found it to be quite expensive compared with some other restaurants. My friend used to work there & she loved it but I was not overly excited by the food. We were sitting downstair which does look better that the small area they have upstairs. There is also a Galileo in Cahir which is marginally better. Two former chefs from Galileo in Clonmel have now opened their own place in Fermoy called Bella Cafe. This has totally gorgeous food & cheaper than the two Galileo restaurants in Clonmel & Cahir!!
The Newport Restaurant Cafe Bar
Paul Street, Plaza, Cork City, Cork
Have been in here 3 times now, each time was during the day. Twice I have a meal & the other time, I just had drinks with some friends. Both time I had a meal here, the service was very good & friendly. The food was great on both occasions. Really like the atmosphere in here, something very calm & tranquil considering the hustle & bustle outside the front door. Will definitely be back here many times for food & drinks. Lovely place!
3, The Mall, Waterford, Waterford City, Waterford
Went to this place to treat my friend for helping me with something. We were the only people in there but it was early so understood why this was. It was a bit creepy as it was so big but we tried tohave a laugh & enjoy ourselves. The food was lovely & the staff were very friendly. Would go back again but would be nice if there were other customers there!
Rathkeevan Clonmel, Clonmel, Tipperary
Had a lovely meal outside in the beer garden one day with my friend Valerie & we were impressed. Very nice food, nice staff. The food was a bit slow coming out but we were not put off as we were chatting quite a lot so we didnt mind.
12 Patrick Street, Fermoy, Cork
Very expensive for a simple toasted sandwich & a mineral or tes or coffee. The staff are not nice & the tables always grubby. By the way the name of this place is the Torten, not the Orten. But I doubt anyone will care.
The Belfry Hotel
Waterford, Waterford City, Waterford
Had a lovely meal here with my brother & my mum. We all had the battered cod with chilli flakes in the batter. Truly beautiful taste. Really enjoyed it. Can't believe my brother kept talking about it all the way home as he normally doesn't like most foods. He's very odd!!
34 Patrick Street, Cork City, Cork
Food is always nice here. My sister just adores the place because they give so much salad on the plates. The poritions are huge & they taste great. Would def go back again. It's also up on the first floor from the main street so it's nice & relaxing away from all the rushing about outside.
2-5 Winthrop Lane, Winthrop Street, Cork, Cork City, Cork
This was recommended by a friend & the day we went, there was a queue & we had to wait about 20 mins but it was worth it! Had a really great meal here last year, haven't had the chance to go back yet. The Mars Cheesecake is to die for. The dessert protions are huge so you should get one portion between two people. Can't wait to go back!!
Careys Lane, Cork City, Cork
Really love this place. Have been here 5-6 times now. Food is gorgeous, especuially the steak & the pepper sauce is the nicest I have EVER tasted. Love it. The staff are nice 7 friendly & I love to get a table upstairs. They have always given us a table upstairs even though they might have it closed off. Will be going back here a lot. Brought my mum here too & she wants to go back there for a meal when we go xmas shopping in December.
Brannigans Cork - Closed
Mahon Point Shopping Centre Mahon, Cork City, Cork
I'm really surprised about the other comments of this place. I had a meal about 6 months ago in here & it was lovely, fine size portions, food was really hot & i love that. Was back there yesterday & the food was lovely, I had battered mushrooms with garlic sauce, they were lovely & really hot, i think there was 7 on the plate as a starter because most places, you only get 4. My main course was risotto & spinach with chicken in cream sauce, it was gorgeous & very hot, which I love. From my review you can see that I really appreciate getting food served to me that is piping hot as most places no longer do this. I really enjoyed it but did not have dessert only as I was full. Can be quite expensive but depends on what you go for.
La Bigoudenne Creperie Restaurant
28 MacCurtain Street, Fermoy, Cork
Only been here once & it was fabulous. The food was so special & different. Some things I have never seen in other restaurants & the service was great. Very expensive but worth every penny!
Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant (Cork)
48 McCurtain Street Fermoy, Fermoy, Cork
Lovely food here in the sit down part. Food was always nice but nearly every time I got a take away, it has been very poor. Would recommend sitting down at the restaurant for a meal though. Have been many times & really enjoyed the meal when sitting down. Staff are nice & friendly & will help you out if your having any sort of a special night, like a birthday, work party or special event.
Church Street, Cahir, Tipperary
This was much better than the Gallileo in Clonmel. The food was nicer, the staff were nicer, the atmosphere was better & the prices were better. Would go back here again. As I meantioned in my review for the Galileo in Clonmel, two former chefs set up another restaurant in Fermoy called Bella Cafe which leaves the two Galileo places in the shade!
The Square, Cahir, Cahir, Tipperary
Was here with the family, (16 of us) for a confirmation & the food & service was great, really tasty food & lovely staff. The manager behind the bar was very pleasant & seemed really grateful for our custom. If he was being false, I would never have guessed it! Would definitely go back here again for a meal or with a few friends for a drink!
The Park Hotel
Poppyfields, Clonmel, Clonmel, Tipperary
Have been here twice & the food was lovely, the seating areas are gorgeous & really comfortable. The seating/bar area itself though is lacking something I don't know what.I think the atmosphere could be better. Would go back though.
Tom Skinnys Pizza Parlour
3 Printers Centre Market Street, Clonmel, Tipperary
Pizza here is just devine. The pepperoni is the nicest I have ever tasted in my life, cannot get anything like it anywhere. The service is a bit slow but it gives you plenty of time to chat with your friends. The ice-cream is also fab. Can be full of teenagers but you have to know when to choose a good time if you are from the town.
Tierney's Bar and Restaurant
O'Connell St. Clonmel, Clonmel, Tipperary
This used to be a gorgeous award winning restaurant & bar, now it's a run down, grotty, dirty pub with below par pub grub! The service is disgraceful & if you had the nerve to complain, you are treated like you were an dirty insect on the floor. Very poor, stay away everyone!!!
Market Place Clonmel, Clonmel, Tipperary
Dry food, drab surroundings. Staff like robots & staring out the window while serving you. They are more interested in what's going on outside that serving the customer. I suppose if I worked there I would too. Food is very average but they are very pricey. I got a cloudy/grubby glass for my mineral & asked for another one, that was the same. I will not be back here again.
1 Mitchell Street, Clonmel, Tipperary
Over rated, over priced. Horrible staff, food portions are minimal. Some of the foods taste quite dry, reheated. All the seats in the place are way too close together & you have to queue nearly 80-90 % of the time you go in there. Only went back here 2 or 3 times because friends arranged to meet there. It certainly would not be my choice of a meeting place.
47 Gladstone St, Clonmel, Clonmel, Tipperary
Have been here lots & lots of times over the years & have always enjoyed my lunch in there even though it would be busy. Lunch is always reasonable at approx €10 for a main course & a mineral. Also, have been to the main restaurant at night about 8 times & the food was lovely 7 of those 8 times. The only time I did not enjoy it was because I was given the wrong meal. They took it back & replaced it but it took time & I was hungry & my friend had to eat theirs or it would be cold. Really nice food though. The owners are notoriously not nice & the staff are not too pleasant either but if you overlook that, you will enjoy your meal. Great atmospere in the pub at the weekends.
Mr Bumbles Restaurant
Kickham st, Clonmel, Clonmel, Tipperary
Went here for a work/friends xmas meal. Food was lovely but nothing very special. They charged about 4-5 euros to cork each bottle of wine we had, making a nice bit of money as we all brought 2 bottles each & there was 10 of us in the group. Service was not good, rude staff. Price's were expensive enough.
Kamboat Chinese Restaurant
Tower House, New Quay Clonmel, Clonmel, Tipperary
Had many meals here & the food has always been lovely but the staff are a joke. The staff here are rude & just drop (& I mean drop) the plates onto the table in front of you. There is a girl working there (think she is "manager" now) & she is very nosy, watching every single thing you do while you are there. This is very intrusive when you are trying to relax & enjoy a meal. Would recommend for anyone to try the food there but do not expect luxury or privacy.
Galileo Cafe Clonmel
4 Gladstone Street, Clonmel, Tipperary

Parnell St, Clonmel, Tipperary
I have been here many times & the staff are always really friendly & warm. The food has always been gorgeous & it's also nice to be there late at night as you can relax over a few bottles of wine & have a few chats with your friends!
Chapmans Coffee House
Richmond Mill, Emmett Street, Clonmel, Tipperary
This was a nice coffee shop but the price's were ridiculous. They are over rated, over priced & not very friendly. Not my idea of a good coffee shop!
Devanes Bar & Restaurant
Irishtown, Clonmel, Tipperary
I have eaten lots of meals here over the last 8-10 years when it was "Devane's" & beforehand when it was just "Allens". The food has always been very good here. Gorgeous Garlic Musrooms & Cajun Chicken. Also, the pasta's were lovely. Would definitely recommend this to friends, family or tourists. They have an excellent, very well decorated beer garden to the back where you can look directly onto the River Suir. Great views & you can relax with your drink or food!
