Vermilion
94-96 Terenure Road, Dublin 6 , Terenure, Dublin

Dined here on a friday night. There was live music (though unobtrusive) and the place was full. The restaurant is lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was beautiful, every dish we had was faultless and we were two very happy happy diners leaving. I definitely recommend this restaurant and I will return soon.

Town Bar and Grill
21 Kildare Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Dined here with a deal voucher and had a really enjoyable evening. I had scallops to start which were slightly overcooked but still very nice, my friend had the Duck egg which he really enjoyed. The mains were def the star of the show, the Rib Steak and the Veal, both were cooked perfectly, tender and full of flavour. Creme Brulee and Chocolate tart wrapped it up, both lovely but the tart was a little too rich after the meal & I couldn't finish it. The staff were attentive and polite.

The Morehampton Brasserie (Previously the The Restaurant @ Donnybrook Fair)
89 Morehampton Road, Dublin 4, Donnybrook, Dublin

The restaurant was quiet enough, grand for catching up with a friend over some lovely food. The 2 courses for €22 is good value. I had the Duck Peking Style and it was full of flavour, really tasty, I chose the mash to accompany which too was v nice. Chocolate box with honeycomb icecream for dessert and I was surprisingly full! Also had a nice glass of Pinot Grigio which I think was only €5.50! I do think that some small veg accompaniment would be a good thing without having to choose between it or potato, or pay an extra side. I would return though.

Admiral Restaurant
Q Park, Marlborough Street, City Centre North, Dublin

It was early evening when we dined here and and it was v quiet. starters of garlic mushrooms and baltic beer snacks and traditional stew and stewed baby wildboar for mains. The food was tasty and i will def go back again, maybe later in the evening see if the atmosphere is better (ive passed here a lot and it seems to be).

ely bar & brasserie
CHQ Building, Georges Dock, Dublin 1, City Centre, IFSC, Dublin

Took a friend here for her birthday. We hadn't booked so ordered a cocktail at the bar while we waited for a table. As always in Ely the food was fantastic, scallops to start were def my highlight, cooked perfectly and so tasty. Lovely food washed down with a nice cava and the staff were great. Definitely a place I will continue to return to and recommend to friends.

New Emperor Chinese
18 May Park, Malahide Road, North Dublin, Donnycarney, Dublin

As this restaurant is local to me I have eaten here many times over the years when it was in its previous ownership. The new owners have given it a lovely makeover & it's very stylish. The staff are v friendly and attentive. The menu is great & very varied and the food really is delicious. I had teriyaki beef skewers to start (v tasty) & chicken with peppers in Blackbean sauce. No complaints from anyone about the food. Dined with a Menupages Deal voucher so just paid for the extra person that joined us & a few extras we had. V reasonable prices here.

Bite - New Location Opening Soon!
29 South Frederick Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

After listening to others rave about Bite we went for lunch today & I have to say I wasn't blown away! I ordered the Hake in batter and it was just ok, I've had tastier in some of the pubs around. Its expensive enough for a lunch menu, all sides - chips etc are extra. Some dishes at other tables looked nicer than mine so I'll probably return and try the evening menu out.

Madhobi Indian Cuisine
25G Malahide Road, Artane, Dublin 5, Artane, Dublin

Visited on a weds evening, a good few in the restaurant but the atmosphere was quiet, was relaxing though! There was only one Waiter on when we arrived and I thought it was going to be a bit of a disaster but he was fantastic - efficient, friendly and no-one was left sitting around waiting - other places could learn from this guy! The food was really tasty, i'm not able for hot spicey dishes but their mild food was full of flavour. We had a Living Social voucher which was a great deal, the menu prices are reasonable enough and I will def return.

Alfies
10 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I've enjoyed Alfies on each visit. On this occasion took my mam, sis & aunts, wasn't sure if they would like it but they did. Food is tasty and the Apres work menu (choose one dish from each of 3 sections & all is served together €15) is great value as are the €5 cocktails. There's a great vibe there and the staff are friendly too. I highly recommend Alfies.

The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

First time to Port House & I really enjoyed it. My friend was sceptical about the portion sizes/price ratio after a previous tapas experience, but she is now converted to Port House. The wine I had was lovely & friend said her strawberry daquiry was one of the nicest ever! Tasty tapas, some chocolate cake & nice wine, great place for a girly catch up. Would be a nice place for a date too, though the tables are very close together! Also the friendly staff are attentive without being intrusive or in your face.

Siam Thai (Andrews Street)
14/15 Andrews Street, City Centre South, Dublin

We didnt have a reservation but it was early evening so once we could vacate the table by 7.30 they could accommodate us. The early bird menu is good value and the food is really lovely, duck roll was v tasy, (although I preferred the plum sauce that came with the Veg Spring Roll!!) My seabass was well cooked, a lot spicier than I thought it would be, but was delish. The other mains were a garlic & chilli stir fry & a seabass with ginger, a very easy to drink Pinot Grigio to accompany and all 3 of us were v satisfied. The staff were friendly and efficient even when the place got packed.

The Grafton Lounge
Unit 2, Royal Hibernian Way, Dawson Street, City Centre South, Dublin

We (5) all had the fish & chip special today and all agreed that it was fab! will def go back for lunch again and looks a good spot for after work cocktails and nibbles!

Harrys Kitchen Restaurant
22, Dawson Street, Dublin

hadnt been here in a long time so a few of us came here for the express lunch - 2 courses €15, the fish cake starter was one of the nicest i've had, then had the steak & chips - lovely! The food here is really nice, and the staff are brilliant! Lovely place, will def dine here again and try out their evening menu.

La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Dined here with a citydeal voucher. The staff are friendly & attentive and the food is lovely, the duck was v tasty as was the rest of the food we had....they also do a lovely Pinot Grigio. Will def return here to try out some of the other dishes I saw going to other tables!

profile_review

New Millennium Chinese Restaurant
51 South King Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here for lunch today - they do a really decent lunch special - main €9.50, then add a starter for €1.50 and get free icecream (or tea/coffee). I had the fried dumplings - very tasty & the beef, green pepper & black bean sauce, nice and light sauce, not at all gloopy! No complaints from any of us, we'll def return again.

Kumar's Taste of Asia
Swan House, Swan Street, Flood Street, Galway City, Galway

Was in Galway for a conferance and 3 of us went in search of an Indian restaurant and came across Kumars. Its a lovely small place, friendly staff and the food was yummy. The meat Samosas were v tasty & I tried the Makhani Chicken which was also good, but not as mild as they said (for me anyways - Im a wimp), no complaints about the rest of the food either, except that we ordered way too much and rolled out of the place!! Will pop in again next time im in Galway.

profile_review

Bru Bar and Bistro
Haymarket North Bank, Drogheda, Louth

The Bru 22 menu is great value :Starter+Main+Dessert OR Starter+Main+Glass of Wine OR Starter+Main+Speciality Coffee We went for the one with the wine - the duck spring roll is really tasty and the fish and chips are very nice, the staff were v welcoming and attentive during our visit even though there was a large party in & the place was filling up. I'd def go back again.

profile_review

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Had a late lunch (2.30) and there was only one other table occupied so the place was v quiet. Service was friendly. I had the cod with baby potatoes, wilted rocket, asparagus, wild mushrooms & lemon confit, it was lovely & and my dining companion had minced beef burger with smoked bacon, apple wood cheese, sun dried tomato salsa and onion bap which she said was the nicest burger she had in long time. We had dessert each and coffee, we had a foodiepages voucher for the mains & a glass of wine, so just had to pay for the desserts, coffee & a portion of chips (as the burger didnt come with any!!) which came to €20. All in all food was fab and I will return.

Jaffa's Restaurant
8 Stockwell st, Drogheda, Louth

My second time to dine at Jaffa, this time it was early so went for the all day breakfast, just the job after a few drinks the night before. Ive also eaten lunch here and the steak ciabatta was delicious. The staff are lovely too. They have a large reasonable priced menu & tables & chairs on the boardwalk to eat outside on nice days. highly recommend Jaffa's, i'll definately dine there again.

Farm Restaurant (Dawson Street)
3 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

I choose the Farm for our work Christmas lunch, I was nervous that everyone would enjoy it but shouldnt have been, it was a great success. The food is really lovely - not one complaint from a fairly picky bunch! It was their special Christmas lunch menu we chose from, I had chicken wings and then half roast duck, very tasty. The wine was nice too and reasonable. Staff attentive and helpful on a very busy friday before Christmas (and not once did we feel rushed). I'll def return - and my 14 dining companions feel the same.

profile_review

Tante Zoes
1 Crow Street, Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

Myself and my sis booked for 5.30 & the place was quiet apart from a large group. It soon filled up with a few large groups, couples and family's - one waiter on duty but he was fantastic, I hope he is being paid well coz he kept the whole thing going smoothly. Anyways on to the food which also could not be faulted, the ribs really are gorgeous and my jambalaya was yummy but v filling! we booked online and ordered from the a la carte menu (3courses each) and the bottle of wine was free....happy days, will def return to try out some other dishes.

profile_review

Cactus Jacks (Middle Abbey St)
Millennium Walkway, Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Dined here yesterday evening and i'll definately be back. The early bird 3 course & glass of wine for €20 is excellent value and the food is gorgeous & the portions are very generous. I had the Chicken Quesadillas (yummy) and my sis had the Chick Wings which she loved. For mains I had the Chilli Beef Burrito & my sis had the Garlic & Lime Chicken...we swapped as I found the beef a bit too spicy(im a wimp!) she loved the burrito and I loved the chicken dish...2 tequila & lime cheescakes to finish and we were both well happy leaving. Must also mention the staff were great, attentive but not in your face and didnt rush us out the door at the end either.

profile_review

Eastern Seaboard
1 Bryanstown Centre, Dublin Road, Drogheda, Louth

8 of us dined here the day after new years day. The place was really busy and had a great buzz about it. The baby Ribs starter was yummy and the Seabass main was really delicious, we all enjoyed our dishes and as we were a late enough sitting we were able to stay sitting at the table for a few more drinks insead of having to move on. There is also a nice little bar area too if its just a few drinks you're after. The Service and food were great and i'd definately recommend this place.

Langton House Hotel Kilkenny
69 John Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Visited relatives in Kilkenny last week and after pottering around the shops decided to have lunch in Langtons. A varied menu with the main specials changing daily.... I had the Chicken A la king which was really yummy and the profiteroles are gorgeous... The others all had the Chicken Breast stuffed with Spicey Sausage...their only complaint was a need for extra gravy/sauce for the mash! Good Value, good service and a full happy belly.

profile_review

La Cave
28 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

First time to La Cave and really enjoyed it. Myself and my mother looking for somewhere warm and inviting ventured into La Cave. The room itself is very small and intimate. The food was beautiful and the wine really nice. Left La Cave very happy and definately will return. If going in the evening I would advise to book as a lot of people were being turned away!

profile_review

Pacinos
18 Suffolk Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

A very warm welcome to a quite busy restaurant on v cold Friday night. The staff in Pacinos are great, welcoming, informative and not intrusive. The food is really good, my friend said her pizza was the best she had in a long time. Pacinos is great value for money and the menu is very vaired. 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts, 2 bottles of wine was about €80... we sat for a long time and not once felt rushed to leave. I'll definately be returning and recommend it to all.

Munchies (South William Street)
South William St, City Centre South, Dublin

I normally go to Munchies on Baggot St. as its near work. Its a take away shop. The Munchie Brunchie is great if you've had a few too many beers the night before (sausage, bacon, egg, relish). I love their fresh sandwhiches that they make up from their counter, particularly on Tomato bread. As another reviewer mentioned below, their wraps, although tasty, are very very small. They also do a nice comforting hot chocolate great on those miserable rainy days!

profile_review

Little Caesars Palace Restaurant
1-3 Balfe Street, City Centre South, Dublin

3 of us went to Little Caesars and none of us had any complaints. A very good menu at really reasonable prices and the food is really tasty. The staff are friendly and helpful. Also their lunch menu has to be one of the best priced around. And as others have pointed out, its a nice change to just be given nice cold tap water and not expected to pay crazy prices for bottled stuff.

profile_review

Siam Thai (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

Myself and my sister went to Siam Thai without a booking at 7.15 after some shopping, it was quite full and we were asked to have the table back by 8.30 as they were fully booked for the evening. As we were consious of the time we noticed that the food was a little slow coming out but it was beautiful, couldn't fault anything.Shared the Duck Pancake starter and I had Seabass in garlic and the sis had cod in chilli oil, no room (or time) for dessert. even though it went over 8.30 they let us finish our wine in peace. The staff are all lovely and very helpful & always smiling! I will return and will also try some of there other restaurants.

profile_review

Coachmans Inn
Airport Road, Cloghran, Dublin

The early bird menu is great value. I hadn't been here in ages and have to say that I really enjoyed it. The lamb was lovely and my friend really enjoyed her steak... garlic mushrooms for starters were yummy. Would def go back again. Though one of the waitress was very abrupt, it seemed to bother her to have to serve us, there was another girl however who was great, helpful and pleasant.

profile_review

Hard Rock Cafe
12 Fleet Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Took my friends son here as a treat for his 13th birthday... he loved it, the old music classics playing, he loved the decor/atmosphere of the place... the food is tasty and the service is very good. It is v expensive although we ordred way too much food! The rib / chicken combo is good as are the fajitas and the chips are yummy. I'd go back but wouldnt order as much food as the portions are large.

profile_review

Jimmy Chungs
Eden Quay, City Centre North, Dublin

It is what it is - its a buffet - dont go if your expecting a cozy romantic place. There's a good atmosphere and the food is good, esp the starters. The food was refreshed constantly. Cheap and cheerful night for two was €45, that included the buffet and 4 pints....

profile_review

The Italian Connection
95 Talbot Street, City Centre North, Dublin

The food here was fab... 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 sides and a bottle of wine for €55, great value. It was late afternoon when we went in and it was v quiet but it was starting to fill up as we were finishing and there was a bit of a buzz. They also do a great special deal on the board. Service was great too. Highly recommend.

profile_review

Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We went here last Sat after watching the Rugby Match. It was the music that attracted my friend to the place. The atmosphere was great on the night with a live musician, the staff very friendly and the food really good. The portions are quite large. I got a Ribeye Steak and couldnt even get through half of it so they wrapped it up for me to take away. I'd definately go back. We were sitting right at the open kitchen which was good.

profile_review

Yamamori Noodles
71-72 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Myself and a friend went to yamamori on a tues night, it was fairly full for a tues night but they seated us no problem. My friend had the chicken wings which quite nice and I had the duck gyoza which were nice. I cant remember the name of my main but is was a noodle dish with beef and scallop - it arrived covered with this wafer thin, near transparent paperlike stuff - which was swaying - I had to call a waiter to ask whgat it was - thin shavings of smoked fish!!! This I didnt like and just brushed it to the side of an otherwise tasty dish... Washed down with a couple of cobra beers it wasnt a bad meal..... but there are other places i'd rush back to quicker!

profile_review

Saba
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

4 of us dined here before going to the Gaiety. The place filled up shortly after we arrived and there was a great buzz. The food is lovely. 2 of the diners were new to Thai food and they really enjoyed it. All of the dishes we had were lovely esp the Pattaya, the duck in it was really fab, I had the Massaman Chicken as im not able for spicy food, it was lovely, very well flavoured. We had no room for dessert tho.

profile_review

Acapulco Restaurant
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Had dinner here last week. The place was busy but we were promtly seated and the service was attentive throughout. The sharing combo platters are tasty and good value and I had the Steak Fajitas which were yum. All-in-all we had a good meal and I will be back again.

The Church Cafe Bar & Restaurant
Junction of Mary St. & Jervis St., Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Had dinner in the cafe bar after shopping last night. The place was packed & we were lucky to nab a table as some people left. The waiter service was great, very prompt & the bar staff are friendly (& make nice cocktails) We had the steak Sandwich and the lamb chops. Both dishes were lovely - and their chips are yummy!

profile_review

The Woolshed Baa & Grill
Parnell Street, The junction of Jervis street and Parnell street., City Centre North, Dublin

Popped into the Woolshed for a bite to eat & a beer before the cinema. The Woolshed Burger is really tasty and filling. The BBQ chicken wings however lacked flavour. Service is friendly & quick. I would return and highly recommend the burger.

The Oar House Fish Restaurant
8 West Pier, North Co. Dublin, Howth, Dublin

Brought my dad here for his birthday. Its a great little restaurant, real buzzy atmosphere and the staff are great. There was four of us in all, and we had 4 Starters, 4 mains, 1 dessert, 3 coffees, a bottle of red wine, a bottle of white wine and a 7up, a bill of €190....excellent value. I'm not a big fish fan at all, but I really enjoyed it, and sampled other peoples dishes too. Only thing is the tables are VERY close together, but then you get to spy what other people are eating to help you choose!! I'll def go back.

Quay 16 Restaurant @ MV Cill Airne
MV Cill Airne, North Wall Quay, IFSC, Dublin

I ate here last night and I loved it. The food is fantastic and the service could not be faulted. I highly recommend the Quail Salad starter. My only suggestion is that they turn on the heat, the dining room was a bit chilly! 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts, 1 bottle of wine (the Pinot Grigio is v nice)and 2 baileys coffees - €145. The bar upstairs is nice for a cocktail.... A lovely place to take a date.

profile_review

The Gallery Restaurant at the Church
Junction of Mary St. & Jervis St., Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Myself and my mother ate here on Thursday night, She had the Rack of Lamb, which I tasted and it was fab. I had the Fillet of Steak, cooked perfectly... It was €100.87 for 2 mains, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine. The atmosphere in the Church is great - try get a table looking down on the bar downstairs.

profile_review

Oscar Taylor Restaurant
Island View Hotel, Coast Road, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

I have been to Oscar Taylors many times & have never had a bad experience. Their steaks are always cooked perfectly and im quite fond of their sticky toffee pudding. Im not a big seafood fan but some of my dining companions would be and they've always had good things to say.... Also the early bird menu is great value and there's lots of choice on it. The staff are always friendly & efficient and the place is usually quite buzzy!

profile_review

Mulino's
23 Watermill road, North Dublin, Dublin 5, Raheny, Dublin

I was a bit apprehensive about going here due the mixed reviews, I'm glad I went as I really enjoyed it. Myself, my friend and her 12 year old son went here on a Tuesday evening. He said it was one of the nicest pizza's he ever had.... None of us could fault the food, which was really tasty, or the staff, who were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the starter on the special board of Duck spring rolls had just run out, disappointing as diners around us said they were fab. I'll definitely go back to Mulino's.

profile_review

Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I really enjoy Wagamama for a quick lunch or something quick after work. It doesn't lend itself to comfort for a long relaxed meal, nor privacy for private conversation. But the staff are pleasant and efficient and the food is good, my favourites are the Chicken Katsu Curry and the Duck Gyoza. They also do a very nice Pinot Grigio!

profile_review

Indie Spice Grill
Burgundy House, New Street, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

I brought my parents here for a meal a couple of months ago. The Restaurant itself is lovely, and has a little cosy bar too. The Staff are great, very helpful and attentive without being overbearing. We all found the food excellent, just one small gripe, my father ordered the prawn dish from the specials list, there were only 4 prawns in the dish, albeit very large prawns, but 4 none the less, he was not impressed, they and the dish however were very tasty. Also their placemats have some receipes on them which you can take away, which my mother did and has used since. The cost was about €135 for 3 starters, 3 mains with sides, one bottle of wine and one large beer.
