Elephant & Castle restaurant
18/19 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin, Area Code: Dublin 2
Reviewed 22nd November 2006 ( visited 22nd November 2006 )Good varied menu- can get very busy though so try and go early, as they don't take reservations. Chicken wings are without a doubt the best in Dublin if not Ireland and if you can fit in more after their huge portions try some of the homemade ice cream for dessert. Something here for everyone even the fussiest if eaters.
6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin
Absolutely LOVE this place, it never fails to satisfy and the food is second to none. Try the Vietnamese meatball to start - Incredible! Ensure you make a booking as this place always seems very busy. Its perfect for girls nights out and try grab a booth if you can
Cavan Road, Cootehill, Cavan
Have Eaten in the restauranat and the Bar, Wasn;t overly imp[ressed with the restaurant felt a bit like medicore wedding food, but the bar food is excellent for Bar food, great panini's and wrap and daily specials are usually great - I'd recommend both if in teh area
The Old Candle
Main Street, Newcastle, Co Wicklow, Newcastle, Wicklow
Was really impressed by this, The service was impecable and the food absolutely divine. I had the scallops to start followed by the Fishermans feast of Seabass, Prawns, Scallops and Red Mullet - All cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Service was the best i've received in Ireland, Had the cheesecake to finish which I can highly recommend- In fact I'd go as far as to say its the best cheesecake I've ever had. Cannot recommend this place enough, Its may be slightly more expensive than the rest of the restaurants but definitaly much nicer
Bad Ass Cafe
Crown Alley, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Really not a fan of this place, feel its cheap porcessed food dressed up. Pizaa comes out on ready made rock hard bases - not fresh like most places these days. I ordered Tuna Nicosce salad and was served some Iceberg lettuce, boiled potato's and tinned tuna- not nice !
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Really like this place,. although on this occasion service was a bit slow- Firstly the food came long before the drinks arrived and I had to ask 3 times for water to be brought to the table. Aside from that food was tasty. We ate before 6 so it was 2 courses for €15.95, which given the quality of the food is exceptional value, Started with Chicken Satay which Was quite strongly flavoured with Lemongrass, and then Thai Green Curry, which I believe is one of the nicest in Dublin, I washed it down with their Mojito which was equally as good as the food, Apart from the hiccup with the service to begin with I was very happy with my experience.
The Bull & Castle and F.X. Buckley Steakhouse
5-7 Lord Edward Street, Christchurch, Dublin 8, City Centre South, Dublin
Met a group for friends here for annual Christmas catch up, menu was varied with something for everyone and service was swift. 8 people ate and everyone of us was happy with our meals, I had the prawns to start which were perfect and the Ribs and Chips for main which was big enough to feed 2 people, would highly recommend.
19 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

Cinnabar @ Crowne Plaza Hotel Northwood
Santry Demesne, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin
I have tried thai place a number of times and I really really hated it, ordered the wantons on one occasion and all they consist of are fried pieces of pastry with a sauce on the side, Ok to fill a gap but wouldn't go out my way to eat there

La Peniche @ RIASC
Barge Riasc, Mespil Road Jetty, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Booked this for a work lunch. Not huge variety in the menu but what they do, they do very well. Food is so tasty and well prepared, service is excellent.
Kirwans Lane, Galway City, Galway
Such a nice restaurant. Consistantly nice everytime I eat there. Food is freshly prepared and always immaculately presented. Try the Tempura of Prawns to start, they are absolutely to die for. Desserts also AMAZING
Ard Bia at Nimmo's
Long Walk, Near the Spanish Arch, Galway City, Galway
Most romantic place to eat in Galway. Nice menu, lots of seafood, they also have an excellent wine menu. You need to book this place early if you want a table at the weekends, however it is well worth it.
The Halls, Quay Street, Galway City, Galway
I lived in Galway for years and this place was one of my regular haunts. Nice and tasty pasta and pizza dishes, always lovely Mexican and seafood Very reasonable and I would highly recommend
Old Airport Road, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin
I found the exterior to this place very off putting from the start. When we went inside, it wasn't much better. We were seated and orders swiftly taken. In fairness the food was served up very fast but still I'm convinved it's from a jar. It's cheap but not as cheap as a packet of pasta and a jar of sauce you would make at home. Which I felt it's what it essentially was. Would not go back.
Druid Lane Restaurant
9 Quay Street, Galway City, Galway
Really tasty no nonsense food, reasonably priced and served with a smile. Nice for a romantic dinner for 2.

Eglington Street, Galway City, Galway
Tasty, no nonsense pub grub - although prices have risen steadily over the past few years. It gets very busy so service is rushed and can be hard to get a seat. Overall not bad but there is a lot better around.
Cactus Jacks Galway
Courthouse Lane, Galway City, Galway
Best of all the Cactus Jacks. I think this the original one. Nice menu, fun interior, friendly staff and fairly priced. Their fajitas are the business.

Indie Spice Grill
Burgundy House, New Street, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin
Absolutely LOVE this place- as Indians go it the best I have had the pleasure to dine in - so so tasty and delicious. So fresh and the menu is a bit different- They also do an excellent take away menu that is excellent value- This is certainly my fav restaurant in Dublin
6 Crow Streetle Bar, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
bad food overly priced, I'm a veggie ordered Veggie Pakora and there was a lump of chicken in it !!! The staff just laughed when I told them- would not recommend at all.
Independent Pizza Co
28 Drumcondra Rd Lower, Dublin 9, Drumcondra, Dublin
Best pizza on the North side and very reasonable - Staff are friendly and fast- You have to have the pizza if you go here but they have a number of pasta's dishes etc- if Pizza is not your thing
Il Corvo Restaurant
98-100 Upper Drumcondra Road, Dublin 9 , Drumcondra, Dublin
Very expensive for where the restaurant is - A very simple and mediocre bruscetta was 8.95 and I had the Vegetarian Tortellini was 15.96 - nice enough but I found it to be a bit pricey - although would go back, Pizza's looked delicious
Jaipur Restaurant (Malahide)

15/17 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin
As Chinese food goes it is one of the nicest places I have eaten in - service is quick and great and food is extremely tasty- would recommend the prawn tempura to start- absolutely delicious.
Kudos Restaurant (IFSC)
Clarion Hotel Dublin, IFSC, City Centre North, Dublin
Ate in Kudos bar - food was very tasty and reasonable- Not the best Thai food I have ever eaten but for its price and the fact that’s it was Bar food it was excellent - would recommend for a quick bite.
Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
Good place for a crowd, not the type of place for a romantic meal or first date. Food is tasty with generous portions and presentation- also good value for money- would recommend.

The Market Bar
Fade Street, City Centre South, Dublin
A really good reasonable place to eat, nice sized Tapa's reasonably priced and with great service. I have eaten here a few times now and I always enjoy the food - would highly recommend
Eddie Rockets (Santry)
The Omni Shopping Centre, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin
Eddie rockets empty your pockets - I had a very disappointing visit to Eddie recently and I really feel that food quality has fallen greatly over the last few years. Disappointing as it used to be a really tasty spot to eat
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Very nice place to eat, staff can be a nit unfriendly but may be to do with the fact the place is constantly busy, garlic chicken and tomato bread are among my favorites - I find it better with a crowd rather than 1 or 2 people, very nice restaurant with tasty food- compared to other tapa's bars in Dublin, may be on the expensive side but still so tasty
Havana Tapas Bar
Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
Food is tasty and excellent value for money but after my last experience in Havana I would never eat there again- the waitress did not even smile once and practically threw the plates of food at us- we asked to be seated at the back of the restaurant away from the door but the waitress in question told us that the back of the restaurant was closed!!
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
Nice restaurant for groups although can be quite loud really might not suit a small group. Food is nearly a retro type menu but is really tasty I have eaten here a few times and it is always good, I would recommend the Calamari and the Monkfish both very well cooked. Desserts where disappointing last time I was there - Stay away from the Mud Pie!!
37 Parliament Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Good restaurant overall and nice for a cheap and cheerful meal, not overly romantic or fancy but food is good and service is swift and friendly. I would recommend the Pizza's, cooked in a wood oven and very tasty.
Elephant & Castle
18/19 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Good varied menu- can get very busy though so try and go early, as they don't take reservations. Chicken wings are without a doubt the best in Dublin if not Ireland and if you can fit in more after their huge portions try some of the homemade ice cream for dessert. Something here for everyone even the fussiest if eaters.
Northwood Demense, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin
Great restaurant, real tasty food cooked well and service is excellent. It is a nicely decorated restaurant and a course meal for 2 usually come to about ^100, which is well worth it for the type of food and serviced received. Would highly recommend.
