I graduated form college and booked a table of ten for lunch to celebrate. I chose Tante Zoes because i've eaten here twice before, I love the food and atmosphere and they were offering a great value lunch crunch menu. When we arriveed at the restaurant regular menus were given to us so i asked our waitress about the lunch crunch menu who then told me that the restaurent had been taken over by new management. I explained to her my reasons for booking with Tante Zoes and to my delight she was extreamly accomadating and allowed us to order off the old Lunch Crunch menu because I booked the table befor new management took over. The food was nice and simple, the atmosphere was perfect and the service was excellent.

The Olde Post Inn
Cloverhill, Cavan Town, Cavan

Amazing! One of the best meals I ever had. It was €32 for the 3 courses and worth every penny. For starters I had the duck won tongs, the pork belly for mains and meringue for dessert. All were delicious! The bread on the table was a nice touch to start the meal. The location was beautiful and the service was excellent!

Dax Cafe Bar
23 Pembroke Street Upper, City Centre South, Dublin

I ate here with my boyfriend the other night. We had a boardsdeal voucher of 4 tapas and bottle of wine for €25. For the cold tapas I got the dips and bread and he got salmon. For the hot I got the Potatoes and bacon and he got the duck and mushrooms. Our only complains were that we couldn't believe how salty all dishes were and the portion sizes were quite small in comparison to other tapas restaurants. The wine was very nice and crisp. The service was very good and the atmosphere was nice.

The Meridian Restaurant
The Westwood Hotel, Dangan, Upper Newcastle, Newcastle, Galway

I ate here saturday night with my boyfriend as we were staying in this hotel. I have to say it was an amazing experience. The food, the service, the atmosphere and the value were top quality. We ordered from the 3 course value menu. There was great choice and we also recieved a complementary bottle of wine with out meal as we were staying at the hotel as part of a deal. Overall we had a great dining experience and stay with the Westwood House Hotel.

Ukiyo
7-9 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I ate here with my boyfriend on evening. The food was really tasty. he got the pork belly and i got the beef, bothe dishes were 'yumm'! The staff were friendly and the service was good. The strange thing about it restaurant was the toilets! My boyfriend went down and came back very confused and left wondering did he use the ladies by accident. Then I went down and taught the very same thing...strange!

Frankies Italian Bar and Grill
42 Temple Bar Square, Temple Bar, Dublin

I ate here lastnight with a group of friends. I wasn't too impressed with the food. I ordered off the set menu (€30 for three courses). I got the chicken liver pate with melba toast for starter which was nice and the chicken for main which I taught was a bit too plain and seemed almost like it was out of a box. I got the creme brule for dessert which I taught was the best part of the course. Friends of mine who got chips with there meal were annoyed that they were not real they were frozen from a bag.

The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I eat here on thursday night with by boyfriend. We've been wanting to go here for a while so we just decided to go. We got a table straight away but the one thing I didnt like was we were put onto a table of a party of 6, we would prefere to be on our own table but it didnt bother us after a few minutes. The venu is is beautiful, romantic and light by candles. The service was good but one of the dished my boyfriend recieved was the wrong order so when it came out I was finished and he was nearly full so he got it go. We were not asked if we wanted dessert at the end which I had to ask for myself. The food was lovely, my piellea was delicious! My boyfriend got the callamari but felt they were tastless but maybe it was a bad batch because I've heard they are to die for here. I got the creme Brule for dessert. The sugar on top was really burnt in places and stuck to my teeth and there was still lots of sugar on top thats was not flamed. Over all -Excellent value and will probably be back some time!

Conall Cearnach Restaurant @ Slieve Russel Hotel
Church Street, Ballyconnell, Cavan

I eat here with my boyfriends family on New Years Day. The complimantery bread was delicious. I skiped the starter and went for the main course, which was the cod in batter with a side of garlic potatoes. The cod in batter was to die for, it was nice and light and the garlic potatoes were delicious! For desert I got the selection of creme brule which were very tasty. Everyone enjoyed ther meal even the young children. The only down thing I have to say is that it was a bit too expensive compaired to other restaurants I've eatin in reacently as it didnt seem to have an early bird or specials.

Mexico to Rome
23 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

My boyfriend and i eat here last night. I really liked there menu as there was a lot of nice dishes to choose from. We got a free glass of wine and profiteroles for mentioning menupages which was a nice touch. We both got the chicken with spinach and ricotta cheese which came with a baked potato. We really enjoyed chicken but the baked potato was black/ brown and slushy inside, it was just horrible! I don't know how they could serve that. Even though we didn't like the potato my boyfriend kept eating his and proceeded to eat mine too so we couldn't complain after they were eaten. for dessert i got the creme brule which was nice and he got the free profiteroles.

Bodkins Bar
Bolton Street, City Centre North, Dublin

I have often come here after a long day at college for the craic and now I'm finished college over a year now, I still come down for the craic. There is a good atmosphere and the staff are friendly. The food is perfect for a sandwich or panini for lunch and even better when you get the munchies after few drinks. the food and drinks are also reasonably priced.

Captain America's Cookhouse And Bar
44 Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Absolutely love The Captains! myself and my friends eat here a lot. I had one of the classic burgers and chips which was delicious. there was so much on the plate I couldn't finish it but that was no problem for the lads that were with us. Love the atmosphere and the service was great.

Odessa
13 Dame Court, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Enjoyable evening. My boyfriend took me here for dinner last night. He had the pork which he loved and i had the duck leg which was very nice. For dessert he had the warm chocolate brownie which was delicious and I had the cookies and cream cheese cake and I was quite pleasantly surprised as I could tell it was made in their own kitchen from the fresh taste of the cheese. The atmosphere was was nice and cosy but the noise of people talking was quite loud but i think their was a work do on. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and we would definably eat their again.
