Was here for brunch, food was delicious, staff lovely and friendly, Ill definitely be back!
The Goat Bar & Grill
Goatstown House, Goatstown, Goatstown, Dublin
Came here for breakfast, staff were attentive, one thing I wasnt too impressed with was that most tables were reserved not leaving much room for a table for 2, when a few people came in they were offered the better tables available. Food was lovely so was happy enough
Mayfield Deli & Eatery
Terenure Road North, South Dublin, Terenure, Dublin
Came here for brunch, food was pretty good, nice new layout that allows more people. Staff seems a little all over the place so couldnt really get attention for paying bill etc but was still a lovely visit and Ill be back
Chang Thai Restaurant
Treacy's Hotel, Enniscorthy, Enniscorthy, Wexford
Visited here last Sat night as part of a group of 7. Staff were friendly and attentive but thats pretty much where our good experience ended. Starters arrived,I opted for the Tempura Prawn, what I got was what I can only describe as a tiny prawn hidden in a nugget?!Friends ordered the fish cakes, these were like rubber discs with no flavour of fish and they were not freshly made. I had the beef in oyster sauce and it was laced with salt, other meals were similar. Overall I would have eaten better had I ordered food in from a dodgy takeaway, very disappointed and wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
Killiney Shopping Centre, Rochestown Avenue, Killiney, Dublin
Came here for a quick lunch one Saturday,it wasnt too busy but the food was really good and staff were really friendly.
The Italian Corner
23/24 Wellington Quay, Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin
Had table booked for 9pm on a Friday, it wasnt that busy so much so that staff didnt have much to do. In saying that the staff were very attentive until I was looking to get the bill and there was no one to be seen. Food was good, house wine was lovely, was nice and more of a quick eat than a meal out and definitely lacking a bit of atmosphere for a Friday night
Bits and Pizzas
15 Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
Came here on a Saturday afternoon so atmosphere wasnt great as it wasnt that busy. 2adults and 2children,children were given colouring in which was a nice touch. Food was lovely and staff were friendly and offered good advise as to portion sizes and what would suit us. Was nice and reasonable enough for a bite to eat.

The Market Bar
Fade Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Hit here about 5pm for the early bird, place was buzzing as always.Chose 2 tapas and a glass of wine. Portion sizes were very generous, meatballs were really good and the nachos are so tasty. Great for an after work bite to eat that leaves you not too full but happy with having had a nice feed
Dux & Co.
51 Wellington Quay (By Ha'Penny Bridge), City Centre South, Dublin
This was a great find in the city.BYO is a nice way to enjoy a good night out but not at a whopper expense.Vintage/Shabby Chic interior is comforting and the food was really good. Shared a platter to start that generous with the portion size. Had the chili for main and it was delicious, tried the mussels and they were really fresh and flavoursome. Will definitely be back

I ate here with a citydeal recently and it was very good.Staff were very friendly and I really like the portion size option as Indian food is quite filling. Would certainly go back
Butterfield Avenue, Rathfarnham Village, Rathfarnham, Dublin
I ate here two weeks ago, there were two of us. We had the city deal voucher and as usual with these vouchers you don’t expect the best but this visit proved us wrong. The restaurant is lovely and we were greeted by friendly staff on entering. Our waiter was able to explain any of the menu items that we were unsure of. Our starter was a mixed platter which had plenty to choose from and poppadums were plentiful. There was a nice time between courses. The main courses were really good, tasted fresh and really good. Staff checked a few times that we were okay with everything. I really liked this restaurant and would certainly go back. Good value for money, great service and great food.
Captain America's Cookhouse and Bar (Tallaght)
Unit A3 Tallaght Cross Dublin 24, Tallaght, Dublin
I ate here last night in a party of five. The place wasnt busy, more staff than customers. We were given enough time to look at the menu and ordered starters to share.Had to ask twice for plates. Understandably the staff werent too busy but I felt like they were almost staring at us to see if we were finished or not. Not impressed with the starter, chicken wings were very vinegary.Mains arrived, burgers and ribs looked good.I opted for the shimp popcorn which was flavourless, really disappointed.I hadnt been too impressed on a previous visit where it was very busy and decided to give it another go but think Im done now and wont be going back.Foods just not great, might just be this particular one as I have eaten in Grafton Street before which was pretty good.
Elephant & Castle
18/19 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I visited here on Saturday afternoon. Although very busy in town it only took us five mins to be seated. Staff were very friendly. We were given enough time to make our decisions. I sided with the infamous chicken wings. I think hunger made me think that our food took a while to come but probably no more than average. Our water jug was filled up regularly. Food arrived and was very good. My only criticism was that the chips were extremely oily, although small in size they did not look like they had been drained of any oil after being cooked. No complaints with the chicken wings whatsoever and the other members of my party really enjoyed their food too. All at a reasonable price. This place has earned its great reputation and I will of course go back again
Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
I visited here with family last night. The atmosphere was good a nice buzz about the place. The service was very good, staff were very friendly. We were given plenty of time to look over the menu while having a drink and then the food did not take too long to arrive either. I ordered nachos for starter which was good.Another member of the party got the baby calamari and I thought the portion size was quite small. Also there was no bread served with the soup...I know only a minor issue but it should be served with the soup. Mains were good overall I felt the prawns in my fajitas were lacking a bit of flavour but I did still enjoy them. We finished off with generously sized cocktails. All in all a good experience and good value for money
Zaytoon (Lower Camden Street)
44-55 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin
After trawling the streets of town looking for something tasty to eat I went back to Zaytoon, I had been to the one on Parliament Street before. The layout and eating area is a lot nicer in this one. As always the food was great, chicken shish kebab meal for €11 you cannot go wrong. I have recommended this place to many people whether before a night out or on the way home, the food is always great.
The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I visited here on a Wednesday evening, firstly the place was buzzing. We were seated upstairs, the restaurant is gorgeous and not something that you would expect to find in the city centre. Our waiter was extremely helpful and new both his wine and food menu very well. We ordered 5 tapas and they were really really good. I would recommend the meatballs to everyone! I finished off the meal with a desert of course which again was really good. Having never tried tapas before I was very impressed and would certainly return. Great food, service and price!
94 Terenure Road East, Dublin 6, Dublin 6w, Terenure, Dublin
I visited here as part of a group of 12 on a Saturday night. I was glad to see that we were seated upstairs as downstairs is quite cramped for a larger group. The staff were friendly. The menu had a lot to offer and all reasonably priced. The service however seemed to deteriorate once orders started and food started arriving. The staff got very confused with positions telling a couple of the girls that they had the correct food when it clearly wasnt. The food was really good, tasty and fresh. Although another minor issue of getting the bill occurred at the end of the evening - four attempts to get the bill. I know for some people this may be an advantage but for a group of girls looking to head out for a drink it wasnt favourable. I did enjoy my experience in Sawadee and would go back again regardless of the few slip ups!
The Cuckoos Nest
Greenhills Road, Tallaght, Dublin
I have been here quite a good few times for after work drinks on a Friday and for lunch also. The lunch menu is perfect, soup, sandwiches and hot food available -perfect. The evening menu is just as tasty with platters stacked high with finger food are available. Great with a few drinks and a gang.
Dew Drop Inn
(Centre of) Kill Village, Naas, Naas, Kildare
I live locally and had not tried the restaraunt since it had reopened. Fancied a bit of food one Sunday so gave it a try. It is laid out lovely and the staff are very friendly. The menu was nice and simple but something for everyone on it. I went with the stroganoff. The food was piping hot,it was lovely. I was really impressed as I am not a fan of eating out on a Sunday -with the usual bland carvery meals handed out everywhere. This was a very enjoyable meal and I would definitely go back for more!
Zaytoon (Parliament Street)
14/15 Parliament Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I have visted Zaytoon numerous occasions... both after a night out and on a Saturday afternoon..... I couldnt fault it any of these times. Although its not 'fine-dining' its well worth it for the food. The chicken kebab is definitely the best Ive tasted... Its one of those things that although the stomach is full you just want to keep on eating. I would recommend a visit to anyone who likes a good kebab - anytime of the day or night!!
Indie Spice (Naas)
3 New Row, Naas, Naas, Kildare
I visited here for the first time on a Friday night with two friends. Our table was placed to the side of a large booking when other tables were available. Overlooking this we were seated and had a browse through the menu. The waitress was very helpful explaining dishes that we did not know and they also accomodated a friend who requested if they did a meal not on the menu. They were more than obliging. Starters came out quickly and were delicious with seconds of poppadums being served before they came. The main courses were fab also with large portion sizes and food freshly cooked. Overall it was a lovely visit I will definitely be returning again.
13 Dame Court, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin
I visited here last Saturday night.I had no reservation made and was told a table would be ready in 15mins, and it was.It was very busy and loud but that did not take away from the visit. The menu had a nice few options. Food was great, we enjoyed great wine, starters and main courses. All of these were served by friendly members of staff who were not distracted by the other large tables in the restaurant at the time, which I have found to happen before. Lovely cocktails finished off the meal and I have to say I would definitely go back and am looking forward to trying out the brunch menu!!
Al Muretto - Re located
Forster Court, Galway City, Galway
I visited here last Saturday with a large group for a party.Staff were friendly but they lacked organisation when it came to dealing with such a large booking, quite messy and a couple of orders going astray. The house wine was lovely and a good selection of dishes the menu.Starters were lovely but main course a little bland- lacked authentic Italian flavours. It was a pleasant visit but not somewhere I would be rushing back to.
The Beacon Hotel, Beacon Court, Dublin 18, Sandyford, Dublin
I came here with a friend last Friday. It wasn't too busy and we were offered any table to sit at. The atmosphere was lovely and seemed to be a good vibe about the place. Food was really good, there also wasn't too long in between courses but they weren't too close together either. Food was piping hot and full of flavour. Service was really good and there was no rush in moving us out after the meal was finished, I would definitely go back for good Thai cuisine and lovely wine.
Unit 11/18 Belgard Square, Tallaght Town Centre, West Dublin, Tallaght, Dublin
I visited here last Sat in a party of four. The restaurant was very busy, our table didn’t feel too cramped. I have eaten here before and wasn’t too impressed with the food the last time but decided to give it another go. The service was good and although it was busy it didn’t take too long for our starters to arrive. The starter portions were very generous – definitely recommend sharing. Our main meals were really good, everyone at the table enjoyed their individual dishes. After mains the desert menu arrived with 80% of the menu ‘sold out’. Although late in the evening on a Saturday I found this to be very disappointing. No real alternative was offered apart from the few items left on the menu, I understand these things can happen but it didn’t look too professional. The only other minor issue I had was with the wine. We shared a few bottles of wine over dinner, each bottle of white was left on the table, with no cooler. Each empty bottle was also left on the table. Although Im guessing this was to avoid any issue on receipt of the bill I do not think that it looked very well on part of the guests or the staff. There should be some other method of tracking bottles without leaving them stack up on a table over the course of the evening?! I would certainly go back but think that my last issue should be tackled. From my last visit I had not been impressed with the food but that was rectified on the busy Saturday evening and I hope in future visits that the food remains at the same quality.
Unit 4 Old River House, Templeogue, Dublin
Visited here on Saturday evening. Every member of staff greeted us on arrival. We were given plenty of time to order food with a good selection on the menu to order.Food and wine were really good, generous portion sizes also. There was a very good atmosphere in the restaurant. I would certainly go back whether for a family occasion or a bit of food with the girls.
