Toss'd Noodles & Salads restaurant
Chq Building, Dublin Docklands, City Centre North, Dublin, Area Code:
Reviewed 11th March 2010 ( visited 02nd March 2010 )I love Toss'd .The food is so good and always freshly cooked. I have had the noodles and Pasta before and they were really nice. The portion is huge, it would keep you full for hours. More of a lunch place or maybe a dinner takeout. Worth a try! Its handy to ring and preorder also to save waiting.
Da Neros Trattoria restaurant
Seamus Ennis Road (Above Xtra Vision) , North Dublin, Dublin 11, Finglas, Dublin, Area Code:
Reviewed 09th March 2009 ( visited 07th March 2009 )We decided to go to DeNeros on Sat night because it was local wit the weather being so bad. Although I had been here on several occasions and each time swearing I would not return, we gave in and went again. I can honestly say it will be the last time. To start I ordered mozzarella sticks, they did not taste like mozzarella at all.The cheese smelled funny which I dont think mozzarella should smell. I ordered a pepperoni pizza for mains which was honestly tasteless and we shared a choc biscuit cake for dessert which again was awful. My boyfriend had steak which was nice but nothing amazing. I also ordered a glass of house white, when I tasted it I thought it was very watery and my BF also thought so.After about 10 mins my wine had bubbles in it. To be this was a sign that the wine had indeed been watered down as I have never seen bubbles in white wine before? Although the staff are lovely and the service is good the food is just not good enough. I eat out regularly and this is the worst italian so far.
Taste of Brazil
32 Parliament St, Temple bar, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin
An experience that will not be relived ! Purchased a voucher for dinner in this restaurant expecting a decent meal !!! What a let down ! Had never eaten in a Brazilian restaurant before so we were excited about trying new dishes and enjoying a nice meal. When we arrived in the restaurant the lack of atmosphere was surprising. Starters and main courses were ordered, two of the main courses were steak and we were not asked how we would like them cooked. For starters we ordered Kibe, Coxinha and Escondidinho de frango. The Kibe and Cozinha were both dry and lacked flavour. Our waiter came to remove the plates and leftover food not once asking if everything was okay or if we enjoyed the dishes. The mains arrived and what a disappointment. One of the steak dishes ordered was accompanied by what appeared to be frozen McCain roast potatoes and frozen vegetables. The other steak dinner was edible after the fat was removed and the Beef Stroganoff was heavy and disappointing. Again our waiter came to remove our plates and the only conversation was "Would you like dessert menu's", only desserts were included in the deal we would have happily skipped them. Moving on and hoping for at least one nice course we ordered carrot cake and chocolate truffle with ice cream. The "Carrot cake" tasted more like a Madeira cake purchased from a shop, the chocolate truffle was lacking flavour and the ice cream was frozen in the centre. Even though we had read the reviews before purchasing the voucher I honestly felt that it was worth a visit. I eat out regularly and can honestly say that that experience this restaurant is my number 1 for low quality food and the lack of atmosphere was nearly worse. The waiting staff seemed bored and uninterested in their duties. If I was offered a free meal in this restaurant I can honestly say I would not accept.
The Lemon Tree Restaurant
Main Street, Above Delaney's Pub, Portlaoise, Laois
Mixed review on this restaurant. Had a nice meal but doubt I would return. Firstly the entrance into the restaurant is very off putting. The carpet on the stairs is filthy. We had a look into the restaurant before we decided whether to go ahead and eat in it or not. The restaurant area was basic & small but very clean and did have a nice homely feel to it. It was suitable for a quiet meal but I probably wouldn't go with a larger group. The food itself was good and the presentation was lovely. Although I just felt it was overpriced. So many restaurants do good offers nowadays and the options available here was 2 courses for €25 or 3 for €30. A half bottle of white was €15 - which I thought was overpriced. The waitress was helpful and attentive. If the prices were more reasonable I would consider returning.
Siam Thai (Andrews Street)
14/15 Andrews Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Had the early bird two courses for €22. I had Tom yum soup and a chicken & chilli dish. It was lovely and I did enjoy it but I wouldn't be rushing back. I have been to nicer Thai restaurants with better food & value early birds.
Mexico to Rome
23 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
Food was very average and service wasn't great.....I don't think I will return
18 Suffolk Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Ate in Pacinos last Sunday and wasn't very impressed. We hadn't got a reservation but got a table no problem. There were only two of us so we were sat at a small table along the left hand side. It was a very tight squeeze, my chair and my partners chair were both tight against the tables behind us. It was quite uncomfortable. For starters we shared nachos and bruschetta, and for mains we had pizza and chicken. The food was average, I wouldn't be rushing back. Service was a little slow also. The bill wasn't to bad @ €53 euro though.
3A Talbot Place, Dublin 1 , City Centre North, Dublin
Love Thai Spice for lunch. The service is always fast and the food is always excellent. They do a really good red curry. Be sure to ring and book a table in advance as it is normally packed at lunch time.

Had dinner here with my friends for our Christmas night out. Food was excellent and the service was even better. The atmosphere in the place was great. We received a complimentary cocktail because we booked via menupages. Can't wait to return for another satisfying meal.

After my first visit to Saba I can say I will not be returning. I was looking forward to the visit as I had heard such good things about the place. We were about 15 minutes late for our sitting and we were impolitely told upon entrance that the table was needed back sharply at a specific time and we were late! We apologised and said we would be finished by that time. Slightly disillusioned by the welcoming we were still excited about the food etc. After about 15 mins later our order was taken. I ordered Tom Yam soup and red curry. The soup was not great but was okay and the curry was cold. My friends were not overly impressed with their dishes either. Just after we finished the mains we were once again told we had to leave shortly, and again this was in a rude manner. I really like thai food and I can honestly say this was not the best thai food I had eaten. I would have returned to try it again at a less busy time because I have heard such good reviews about Saba, but unfortunately after receiving such bad customer service I will not be returning!
Fusion Bistro at John Clarke and Sons
82 Irishtown Road, Sandymount, Dublin
This is an excellent restaurant and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I have eaten here on numerous occasions and will continue to do so in the future. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The menu has such a wide variety ranging from chicken korma to bangers & mash. I have tried many dishes and have not been disappointed. They are also very accommodating if you would like some dish altered. The nifty fifty offer is great value with a 3 course meal for 2 & a bottle of wine for €50. They also do a delivery & take away service. It is nice for dinner or lunch and the location at the back of the pub is handy if you fancy dinner and a few beers afterwards. Always looking forward to another meal @ Fusion !
14 Bath Avenue, Sandymount, Sandymount, Dublin
Visited this restaurant mid week for the €20 deal.. We were happy enough with our food, although one person ordered crispy beef and it has hardly any beef in it. I have been here on a Saturday night before and the place was buzzing with a great atmosphere. Unfortunately we were the only table this evening we visited and it was a little off putting. Maybe it was just a quiet night. The entertainment is fantastic. I would recommend it for group bookings.
Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin
I was taken by suprise with this restaurant. It was fabulous. The atmosphere was brilliant and the service was first class. We had hummus and soup to start and both had steak for mains. All the dishes were tasty and fresh. Next time I feel like steak I will be returning here!

I ate here for the second time on Sunday and I have to say I was really impressed yet again by the quality of the food. The four of us had steak and chips and it was delicious. Cooked exactly as we asked, which is always a bonus. Reasonably priced also.

The Quays Irish Restaurant
10-12 Temple Bar Square, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
We decided to try this restaurant for something different. We had to wait for approx 20 mins for a table. The place was really busy and had a really good atmosphere. The food was fantastic. I had the potato cake and the guiness stew for mains. Yum!!!! My boyfriend had the chicken wings and steak for mains which he really loved. The service was pretty good and our waitress was really helpful and happy! I was paying via lazer and while waiting on my receipt I had left money on the table, but had not said it was a tip and she just picked it up and said thanks. This was even before we had put our coats on and left the table . I felt it was very rude as we never once said it was a tip, although that was the intention. Other than that I would recommend this restaurant for some nice food and a great atmosphere in the heart of temple bar.......
2 Sandymount Green, Dublin 4, Sandymount, Dublin
I have eaten in Marios on numerous occasions since it has opened. The food is always tasty and fresh. The service is not always great, but that can be depending on what night it is. It would be nice for them to maybe have some special offers on offer though. We had one starter, two mains , one dessert, one beer and one glass of wine and it was €65 approx.
Milano (Baggot Street)

The Food is really good in this restaurant. The restaurant itself it very well presented and spacious. I had a voucher for two main courses for 15 Euro which was brilliant. We had two starters, two mains, two desserts and a bottle of wine and the bill was only 64euro. Such good value. The food was fresh and very tastey. The waiting staff were really friendly and helpful. I will def be going back !

I would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant. The food is really good, combined with great service and fantastic prices. We had the 3 course early bird with a bottle of wine and the total bill was €65. The atmosphere is relaxing and the decor is lovely. The smoked Haddock Chowder is a must! I will definitely go back.

I went to the Royal Plaza for dinner a few weeks back. It was a Sunday night so was pretty quiet. Food was excellent, probably the nicest chinese meal I have had. Some of the waiting staff were not overly friendly but I think this may have been down to their limited English. Bill wasn't too bad either. Highly recommened.
