6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin, Area Code:
Reviewed 04th September 2008 ( visited 02nd September 2008 )This place is great. Good menu with plenty of choice and everything we had was very tasty. Servings are generous. Very friendly and efficient staff and a nice atmosphere in the place. Even their desserts are good (especially the chocolate brownie). Large bar area is nice for a pre or post-meal drink (or both).
La Mere Zou
22 St Stephens Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin
had lunch here recently. fantastic value with lots of choice and friendly and efficient staff. recommended.
Seagrass of Portobello Bridge
30 South Richmond Street, Dublin 8, Portobello, Dublin
A great place for a big group. BYO is an obvious attraction but the food is very good also. Service excellent as well.
71a Camden Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
probably the best service i've ever had in Dublin. A fantastic experience from start to finish. couldn't recommend it highly enough. will be back soon.
19 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin
I don't know how they sell such good food at these prices but long may it last. Only minor complaints if i'm nit-picking is they could add a few more starters to the menu and the service was almost too quick -understandable at these prices though. great experience overall.
Cavistons Seafood Restaurant
59 Glasthule Road, Glenageary, South Co. Dublin, Sandycove, Dublin
excellent evening. delicious fresh food, great service and not as expensive as I had expected. Will definitely be back. soon.
15 Castle Market Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
nice atmosphere coupled with friendly service - and the food is very tasty too. Will definitiely be back.
15 Stephen Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
great experience. food was excellent and really welcoming and friendly staff. very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere also. the early bird menu represents excellent value.
The Cellar Restaurant
The Merrion Hotel, Upper Merrion Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Excellent service and really good food. Overall, a very pleasant experience. We ate from the a la carte which, while not exactly cheap, was very tasty- the desserts beng particularly good. I'm told the early bird menu is great value.
The Lord Edward
23 Christchurch Place, City Centre South, Dublin
Had heard a lot about the Lord Edward - more about it being an old-fashioned institution than anything about the food really- now I realise why - while it did have some charm the food was very poor overall. Extremely pricey too. staff were friendly- we were overcharged too but i'll give them the benefit of the doubt on that. overall-very disappointing and I won't be back.
Kanum Thai Ltd
77 Mespil Road, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin
A revelation. Superb food at take-away prices. fast and efficient service. will be back. a lot. only criticism - the Adrian Kennedy phone show was on the radio!
Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Excellent food and the set menu represents great value. friendly and efficient staff and there is a real buzz in the place (might be bordering on a bit too noisy for some). Only criticism is the poor choice of beers and, although i'm a big fan of live music, the singer here doesn't add much and isn't really necessary given the lively atmosphere anyway. definitely worth a visit>
The Lime Tree Restaurant (Kerry)
Shelbourne Street, Kenmare, Kerry
one of the most welcoming restaurants i've ever been to - the food isn't half bad either.
36 Henry Street, Kenmare, Kenmare, Kerry
Firendly and welcoming. Lots of flavour and attention to detail. definitely worth a visit.
17 - 19 Sir John Rogerson's Quay, City Centre South, Dublin
This place is fantastic. Lovely pasta, salads, desserts and coffee. Staff are really friendly and must be some of the best value in Dublin. A great example of how to trade through the recession - solid tasty food at very reasonable prices - and the place is always packed.
Ryan's & F.X. Buckley Steakhouse Parkgate Street
28 Parkgate Street, Dublin 8, City Centre South, Dublin
Very pleasant meal - food was very good and the value menu is great. Service was good but incredibly slow- Shame, as it took the gloss off an otherwise very enjoyable meal- if you're listening, hire more staff!
Flemings Restaurant @ Silver Grange House
Silver Grange House, Tivoli, Cork City, Cork
Excellent. I was surprised to see some slightly mixed reviews for Flemings here. I was thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The dining room is beautiful. I see the point about the atmosphere being a bit low key - but that adds to the charm - It is a bit like dining in someones house. The owner is welcoming and entertaining. The food is excellent and mains of this quality priced between €12 and €19 represent great value. The wine list doesn't carry many cheap wines admittedly but the quality is high. We had three courses each and coffees, together with a €40 bottle of wine and the damage was still only €170 for four people. Can't recommend it highly enough.
One Pico Restaurant
5-6 Molesworth Place, Schoolhouse Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Well now I know what all the fuss is about. Had the set lunch here on saturday and it was fantastic. It must be the best value in Dublin. I wondered how they can afford to do this but it was pretty full and most people seemed to be having wine and coffee so perhaps they are making some money off it. will definitely be back soon. A great example to other restaurants.
Merrys Gastro Pub & Restaurant
Main Street Lower, Dungarvan, Waterford
Merry's is well worth a visit. Their chips are some of the best i've had and the burgers, sandwiches and fish are also top class. The staff here are really friendly and the decor is warm and welcoming. Impressed.
Town Bar and Grill
21 Kildare Street, City Centre South, Dublin
My expectations were very high as I had only heard complimentary things about Town Bar & Grill. It certainly didn't disappoint. Atmosphere is great. Service is friendly and not at all fussy. The food is fantastic. I look forward to returning soon.
28 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly, but the food is poor. Relatively expensive and the steaks were poor quality meat and all overcooked. They have a great wine selection but don't think that's really enough anymore.
6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin
This place is great. Good menu with plenty of choice and everything we had was very tasty. Servings are generous. Very friendly and efficient staff and a nice atmosphere in the place. Even their desserts are good (especially the chocolate brownie). Large bar area is nice for a pre or post-meal drink (or both).
137 Rathmines Road, Dublin 6 , South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin
Jo'Burger continues to impress. Great burgers, great staff and great value. Once you don't mind being squeezed into the seats. Also, I notice the music has got louder - perhaps to get people out faster- so not really ideal of more than 3 or 4 of you. Overall though, have never been disappointed here.
