Our first port of call anytime we come to Dublin is the Independent Pizza Company. We rang to book a table yesterday evening and requested a front of house seat and even though we were told no guarantees we were lucky enough to get one when we arrived, as I find the back of the restaurant a bit claustraphobic. That is service!!!and all the staff are friendly and efficient. The service is fast. My twin daughters had the garlic bread and ham and sweetcorn pizza, while we had ham, pepperoni and ham and mushroom with the delicious coleslaw. I have been coming to the Indie for the past 22years and the quality and flavour of the food here is hard to beat. The best pizza in Dublin.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK South Anne Street)
5 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We stumbled on this place while looking for Eddie Rockets which was packed, and are we glad we did!!!It was a warm day so we got seats outside. The service was quick and friendly and the young guy went through the menu and gave us the list of specials. My twin daughters opted for the classic chicken and classic burger kids deal with milkshakes while we went for the classic chargilled chicken with garlic mushrooms and chicken satay burger and fries. The food is very tasty and filling without that heavy feeling you associate with this type of food, therefore the gourmet is aptly named because of the quality. Glad to have found this little gem and is definitely on our top places to eat when in Dublin.

Castle Grove Country Hotel and Restaurant
Ballymaleel (off Ramelton Road) A245, Letterkenny, Donegal

If you want to experience exceptional, seasonal, fresh and mouthwatering food, top class service always, in beautiful surroundings then Castlegrove House is the place to go.We have been here on many occasions, birthdays, our daughters communion celebrations, Mothers day and last week for our Christmas/Anniversary night out. We had little smoked salmon tasters while we waited in the beautifully decorated drawing room. The amuse bouche of white onion and blue cheese soup in little cups were sweet, smooth and delicate. Both our ham hock terrine, and St Tola goats cheese tart were delicious. Our 10yr olds loved the vegetable soup and accompanying selection of freshly baked breads. We then had the Sirloin of Black Angus beef and the Pink Breast of duckling with winter root vegetables. The children had the half portions of Baked ham.For dessert, we made room for coconut and malibu creme brulee, apple and cinnamon strudle, warm chocolate fondant and ice cream with hot chocolate sauce. All I can say is that it was all JUST DIVINE!!!!!!!!!!I can not recommend this little gem highly enough. Mary the owner is just a lady and for the short while you are there she makes it feel like your home. The staff are quick, knowledgeable and courteous. I love this place I just wish I could move in. If you are ever in Donegal it is the one Must See/Do that should be on your list.
