I hadn't been here in a few years so we decided to go back for a girly evening meal. I was amazed by how the place is still really well run, the staff are brilliant and the service is fast. The food is still the same high standard it always was. It's great to see a restaurant like this consistently offer the same great service over the years.

Pizza E Porchetta
The Malting Tower, Grand Canal Quay, Dublin 2 , IFSC, Dublin

Came here after work for a meal and some drinks with friends. The restaurant was busy and had a great atmosphere. The menu had a huge variety to choose from. We all opted for pizzas and they were generous in size and tasted great. The wine menu is extensive and they serve a good choice of cocktails. A great place to try out.

KC Peaches Wine Cave Nassau St
28-29 Nassau St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

This is a great place for lunch or if you're in a hurry and want some nice food quickly. They do a huge range of sandwiches, salads and hot foods at very reasonable prices. The service is quick too.

Hatch & Sons Irish Kitchen
The Little Museum of Dublin, 15 St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

This is a superb place to come for lunch. The restaurant is lovely on the inside - rustic décor. The staff are friendly and the service is fast. The menu has a nice range to choose from . The goats cheese is super so any dish with that is highly recommended.

Guinea Pig
17 Railway Road, South Co. Dublin, Dalkey, Dublin

We came here for an early bird on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is a bit dated on the inside but that is about the only fault I would give the place. The staff were great, the service was fast and the food was delicious. We ordered a lot of fish dishes and the portions were generous and the food was great. We were dining with a young child and the staff were extremely accommodating. Looking forward to going back for more!

The Orchid Chinese Restaurant
12 New Street, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

I came here before Christmas for a group meal. The service was very fast and friendly and the staff were very attentive and well able to cater to a large size group. The dish I ordered wasn't that nice though and felt a bit greasy. Other people in the group enjoyed there food so perhaps I didn't order the right thing but I have to give an honest review! Otherwise, it's good value for money.

Restaurant FortyOne
Residence, 41 St. Stephen´s Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

I came here for a work lunch. The restaurant interior is very nice and the service is fast. However I thought overall the portion sizes were a little small and that it wasn't great value for money as it's a bit pricey. However the food was excellent and the staff were very attentive so we were well catered for.

Mongolian Barbeque
7 Anglesea Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Having heard so many great things about this place for years, I finally decided to try it out. What an experience! The food is seriously good quality and you can pick and choose what you like while eating as much as you like! The staff were really friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money. If you haven't already checked it out, now is the time!

The Vintage Kitchen
7 Poolbeg St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. We came here before Christmas and ate on the Christmas menu which had a huge choice. The service was great, the dishes were well presented and huge in terms of portion size. The restaurant is small but had a great atmosphere. The BYO policy is an added bonus. I can't wait to return here but unfortunately the downside is there is a LONG waiting list. Book in advance!

Chapter One Restaurant
18/19 Parnell Square, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

It's expensive but you get what you pay for. The service is excellent, all the staff bend over backwards to ensure you have a great experience. The food was delicious and we found the portions to be quite large for a fine dining experience. It's an indulgent treat but totally worthwhile and we're looking forward to going back!

Gallahers Bistro
16A D'Olier Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We came her for Sunday brunch. The restaurant was busy when we arrived and a lot of people seemed to be availing of afternoon tea. We were seated and noticed that the table wasn't set. There was no glasses or cutlery there. We brought bottles of wine as it has a BYO policy, but we were waiting for about 10 minutes before a waitress came to our table to give us glasses and open our wine. We ordered two dishes - pasta and a salad. When the food arrived, the salad was missing some ingredients so we had to send it back. The waitress was very friendly and although the service was slow, the staff were very nice. The food tasted nice and we enjoyed the meal. The restaurant has a nice décor and the overall atmosphere is nice (Nina Simone on the stereo). Overall, I would give it a 3 star mediocre score.

Bistro Martello
1 Martello Terrace, South Co. Dublin, Sandycove, Dublin

We came here on a Friday night for a meal (using two menupages vouchers). The deal was very good and was great value for money. The food was lovely - there is a lot of choice on the menu and the food was served promptly and tasted great. However we were a little disappointed with the speed and attentiveness of service. While we were seated quickly upon arrival, we were waiting almost a half an hour before our order was taken. We eventually had to ask a waiter to take our order. Once our order was taken, the rest of the meal flowed smoothly. However at the end of the meal, while we were waiting to finish up and pay, we were again completely ignored by staff. We could see two members of staff working by the counter (it was late in the evening and only three tables were occupied), but they weren't glancing down at tables to see if customers were ok. Again we had to leave our tables to ask for the bill and again to ask for the bill to be processed. I think if this restaurant sharpened up it's service it could be a HUGE hit. That evening, there were four members of staff waiting on 13 tables, so there were no issues with a shortage of staff. But the staff weren't working together as effectively as they could. The food is delicious but if service is something you value, then this place has a bit of work to do.

The Arch Bistro
Above the Glenside Pub, Landscape Road, South Dublin, Churchtown, Dublin

I came here for the Sunday lunch. The staff were really friendly and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was busy and there was a nice atmosphere. The menu offered a great range of dishes at really good prices. The food was lovely, really good flavours and presented well. I would definitely return here as the staff, service and food was great.

ely gastro bar
Grand Canal Square, (Next to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre), Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

I came here on a Saturday evening for some food and drinks. The menu offers a good range of gastro pub dishes and is reasonably priced. It was busy so we had to wait at the bar for about 15 minutes before being seated. The staff were very friendly and once seated, the service was very fast. I would return here as it's a nice venue and the food is good quality.

Avoca Cafe (Suffolk Street)
Avoca, 11 Suffolk Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I came here for lunch and ate in the deli downstairs. There is loads of seating so it's a good place to go. There is a huge salad bar with loads of items to choose from. The deli bar has a huge range of sandwiches and dishes for lunch. It's delicious food and considering the quality of the food is so good, it's good value for lunch.

profile_review

Fallon and Byrne
11-17 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I ate in the Food Hall for lunch. The deli counter offers a huge range of delicious sandwiches and other types of food. The place gets very busy at lunchtimes so recommend getting there early. I was very impressed with the food hall so can't wait to try the restaurant upstairs.

profile_review

Redmond Restaurant @ Woodenbridge Hotel and Lodge (inactive)
Vale of Avoca, Arklow, Wicklow

We came here on a Saturday night to avail of the 3 course meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a goats cheese starter which was lovely. The portions were huge. The icecream dessert was easily enough for two people. Nice!

profile_review

Herbstreet
Hanover Quay, Dublin 2 , Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

I came here for brunch one Sunday. It always gets a good crowd so the atmosphere is always buzzing. I ordered the brunch and the portion size was huge. The food was great and I'd definitely come here again and again.

profile_review

The Cedar Tree
11a St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I came here for lunch on a Tuesday. We were enticed in by the really good lunch offer (starter, main & drink for €9.95). The restaurant interior is nice and fitting with the Lebanese style. The staff were very friendly and attentive. However, I didn't find the food very enjoyable. I ordered chicken and was disappointed to see it was kebab meat. The food was overly greasy and not to my palate. I would compare the food to what you'd get in a takeaway kebab show. No better and definitely didn't meat my expectations based on some of the other reviews on menupages.

Milano (Dun Laoghaire)
1 Harbour Square, Crofton Road, South Co. Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

I regularly eat in Milano restuarants across Dublin, but out of all of them, this is my favourite. The location is great. The restaurant seems to do a good trade and always has a nice atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

profile_review

Doheny and Nesbitt
5 Baggot Street Lower, Baggot Street, Dublin

I come here for lunch quite frequently. The food is always reliable, tasty and well presented. It is arguably the fastest service of any lunch venue. No sooner have you ordered the food but it's at your table. Highly recommend.

profile_review

L'Officina by Dunne And Crescenzi (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

This is the perfect place to go for lunch and a glass of wine if you're out shopping in Dundrum. The food is lovely and the service is fast. The lunch menu is great and offers a variety of paninis and salads. The wine list is extensive. If the weather is nice you also have the option of sitting outside.

profile_review

First Floor Bar & Brasserie @ Harvey Nichols
Dundrum Town Centre, Sandyford Road, Dundrum, Dublin

I came here one evening for the set menu. The restaurant has a lovely interior and really relaxed atmosphere. The decor is great. All the staff were so friendly and made us feel really comfortable. The service was fantastic, we were completely taken care of for the night. Our drinks were constantly refilled. The food was lovely and resembled art on a plate. The menu offers a really good variety of dishes.

profile_review

The Farm Cafe & Restaurant
Djouce Mountain, Ballinastoe, Roundwood, Wicklow

This is an excellent restaurant. The staff and management are so friendly and professional. All our food was fantastic, well cooked and served quickly. The wine was excellent too. I would have no hesitation recommending this restaurant and I'm looking forward to returning.

profile_review

Carluccio's Caffe
52 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

What a popular spot. This has got to be some of the most authentic Italian food I have tried in any restaurant in Dublin. We had antipasta as a starter and it was delicious. The mains were lovely too. Very filling food so be careful what you order! The wine was great too.

profile_review

The Morehampton Brasserie (Previously the The Restaurant @ Donnybrook Fair)

Gourmet Burger Kitchen - GBK (South William Street)
14 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I came here for lunch - cheeseburger and chips and a coke all for €10. Great value. Found out afterwards that my lunch contained 1500 calories! Not for those watching their waistlines!!!

profile_review

Carlo's Restaurant
63-64 O'Connell Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I came here for lunch. The service was fast and friendly. The food is basic but it's cheap and reliable...and really good value. The restaurant is well decorated.

profile_review

Little Caesars (Harcourt Street)
The Harcourt Hotel, 59 Harcourt Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I came here for lunch. Really good value. No sooner had I ordered my food, it had arrived at the table. The food isn't haute cuisine by no means, but it's cheap and reliable...great value. As long as you're not expecting too much, this place won't let you down.

profile_review

Cafe en Seine
39 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

I came here for lunch and opted for the soup and baguette lunch special. The soup was watery and tasted quite artificial. The sandwich was fine but certainly didn't have the x factor. The food ordered from the kitchens looked far nicer than what was in the coffee station.

profile_review

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Great place to go for lunch - great food, great value, great service. The lunch menu offers a variety of dishes. The restaurant atmosphere is really nice and the place looks sparkling clean.

profile_review

Bits and Pizzas
15 Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

I came here for a pizza one evening. It's a nice little restaurant, looks quaint from the outside. Quite a mixed bunch of people seem to eat here, families, couples, young people and the restaurant caters for all. The pizza was a really Irish old style pizza, simple ingredients, didn't try to be too extravagant and creative. Was very impressed with the food and restaurant.

profile_review

The Market Bar
Fade Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I came here after work for some tapas and drinks. They're doing a really good early bird offer where you get two small tapas plates and a glass of wine for €14. I really like the tapas here as the portions are large and they have a decent variety to choose from.

profile_review

The Mint Bar
The Westin Hotel, College Green, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

I came here for an overpriced lunch. The staff and service are very attentive but a little over-the-top for a bar. The food was nice but again, too expensive for what you get.

profile_review

Chandni Restaurant
174 Pembroke Road, Ballsbridge, Ballsbridge, Dublin

I'm not usually a fan of Indian food, but I came here for dinner and I have to say, it was delicious. The service was great, the food arrived quickly and it was fresh and full of flavour. Big thumbs up!

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK South Anne Street)

I have been here a few times. The burgers are very filling and great value at only a fiver. I even like the way you get a chocolate after the meal. Nice touch!

profile_review

Jo'Burger
137 Rathmines Road, Dublin 6 , South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

This is my favourite restaurant in Dublin. It serves the nicest burgers I have ever tried. Who knew you could have such a variety of burgers (all organic). It's really good value too. Not a fan of the organic cola though.

profile_review

Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I came here on a Thursday evening. The place was really busy. We had to queue for seats but it wasn't long before we were seated. The service is really speedy, we didn't wait long to order or for our food to arrive. The food was lovely and great value. If you want fast, tasty, inexpensive and healthy food, this is the place to go.

profile_review

Green Nineteen
19 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

Great place to go for lunch - great food, great value, great service. Only bad thing is, the place is so popular, you can sometimes struggle to get a seat at lunchtimes….hardly a bad complaint!!!

profile_review

Eddie Rockets (Baggot Street)
33 Upper Baggot Street, Dublin 2, Baggot Street, Dublin

I came here for an early lunch one day. I loved the menu so ordered a burger and fries. I wasn't waiting too long for my food to arrive. Once it came, it looked well presented. The food is very greasy, so know what you're getting into before touching the stuff. I felt so full after my meal and the feeling didn't go away for some time. Definitely not a place to go if you're watching your waist!

profile_review

Solas (Wexford St)
31 Wexford Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I came here for lunch one day. The place is open as a bar in the evening so it felt strange eating somewhere that I'd usually drink. The menu is quite good for lunches and there is a huge variety of dishes to choose from at very reasonable prices. The service was fast considering the place was very busy. The food was average...if not a little on the greasy side but it wasn't bad. It's good value.

profile_review

I love this place. I come here for lunch all the time as the food is excellent. It is always fresh, healthy and well cooked. The restaurant is small so you will sometimes have to struggle for seating but it is worth it. It is also great value for the quality of food that you get. The breads are to die for!

I came here for lunch one Monday. It wasn't very busy so we were seated immediately. The restaurant interior is nice and it is well laid out. The staff were friendly and took our order quickly. The food didn't take long to arrive. The portion size was very large but I'd question how healthy the food is!

I regularly come to this restaurant as I think it serves up the best pizza in town. There is a huge selection to choose from and the menu is updated regularly. The pizza is the perfect size and great value. The wine and dessert list is also very good and has a variety to choose from.

I came here for a friends birthday. There was a group of 8 of us. There was a huge variety of dishes to choose from. The food was nice although I felt some dishes lacked flavour, but at least the restaurant is value for money. The staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant atmosphere is nice but I'd hesitate returning based on the quality of the food.

Havana Tapas Bar
Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I came here for lunch one Friday. The restaurant was quite dark on the inside and seemed like the type of place that does most of it's trade in the evening/nightime. We ordered a mixed platter. It arrived quickly however I felt the portion size was quite small. There wasn't a great variety on the menu either.

profile_review

Chatham Street, City Centre South, Dublin

We came here for dinner one weekend. Even though we had a booking, we were told to wait to be seated for over 10 minutes. The restaurant is well laid out and there is a nice atmosphere. The staff were very friendly. I ordered the fish, which was extremely oily and drowned in butter. The rest of the food was nice. There is a good wine list to choose from.

Bia Bar
The Drury Court Hotel, Stephen Street Lower, City Centre South, Dublin

Speed of service is very important to me when eating in a place at lunchtime. Unfortunately, I came here and was waiting for far too long for food to arrive. When it finally arrived at the table, we ordered the bill to ensure we weren't late back to work. The food was fine, not spectacular but would do the job.
