Visited this place on recomendation of a friend. And was pleasently surprised! I ordered the Mozzeralla Sticks as a starter, it came with a light salad & tomato salsa, along with garlic mayo on the side. Nicest one's i've had in a while perfectly cooked & not stringy like some places tend to serve them. I followed it up with the Minced Steak Burger - and i'm telling you it is not for the light hearted. It came with an array of salads, onions & chips, served on a ciabatta bun. It was quite a lot to eat. And i was in shock when i realised it only cost €9.95! If you go be sure you're hungry - my friend had the Chicken Ceasar Salad as a main course and her portion was beautiful presented and as equally as large as mine. As for the staff - we picked a table up on the second floor in a corner but was well looked after and they were all smiley & pleasent. Being late in the afternoon there was also live music playing but it was in no way intrusive to our dining experience.

Zen Thai
17 Main Street, Newbridge, Newbridge, Kildare

Went here on spure of the moment after being out all day. Had never been here before and was pleasently surprised. The decor was in shades of red & white, with little splashes of colour from the wall hangings, & the staff were extremely friendly & helpful. The food was of good standard, however i have a feeling the desert was more than likely just taken out of the freezer as it tried to escape the plate as we pushed the spoon into it. (maybe something fresh would be more suitable) All in all was a good meal, i also believe they do a special were you have the chef come out & cook in front of you... may try that next time.

Ryans Food Company
Unit 8 Naas Town Centre, Naas, Kildare

We ate outside - which was nice as it's well sheltered from weather & it was warm enough out. Service was swift & the staff pleasant. However we had a few desserts and the Banoffi Pie left something to be desired of. The cream wasn't the freshest and the banana was mushy. The price was a little more than i would have liked, but it's not all too bad. Over all the experience was ...ok.

Vie de Chateaux
The Harbour, Naas, Kildare

Food was fabulous as always, but this time i went for the steak & it was exceptional, it was so soft, melt in your mouth! The surprising thing was that they were very good with my child sister, they accomodated her with a wonderfully cooked chicken dish, which she gladly ate (after she'd eaten a small portion of my steak - which she wouldn't usually do, as she rarely eats meat & as everyone knows it's hard to get a child to eat anything). Also the staff were friendly and efficient considering there was a large group of us and it was quite busy. It was very pleasurable & will definatly be there again.

Harvest Kitchen
No. 1, Sallins Road, Naas, Kildare

Went for a lighter lunch as i was expecting to go for dinner later on with friends. I got more than expected. I opted for the open brown bread sandwich as i've been there once or twice before & the home-made bread is devine, but the portion was excellent, and the salad was way more than a couple of lettuce leaves. The service was good, and as it was a nice day we ate on the terrace. Quaint, but the food is wonderful.

Il Fico
Dublin Road, Naas, Kildare

A couple of friends & I decided we'd try il Fico in Naas - as i hadn't tried it and there wasn't a large choice of places serving an early bird menu it seemed the best choice. I was pleased we did as the service was actually excellent, very welcoming. The food was also superb, I'm use to doing so-called Italien & getting a bowl of over cooked pasta...but this food was perfect-decent sized portions (especially for the price-great value) I've not been this impressed in a while. The restaurant has an unusual lay out but it's more personal than a large open space.

Dew Drop Inn
(Centre of) Kill Village, Naas, Naas, Kildare

Was in with a good friend so it nice to be able to catch up as there wasn't large amounts of noise even though there was a crowd. Staff were friend & well able to handly the full lounge. Our waiter was very helpful, checking if we needed drinks & if our meals were satifactory (which they most certainly were). I'd highly sujest going for the HOTROCK steak. It was a novelty to be able to cook my own steak at the table - and the accompaning home made fries & onions were cooked to perfection.
