This is a lovely busy pub that serves one of the nicest carvery lunches around. There are always customers coming and going which to me is a good sign.My Mum loves going there when I come to visit. The menu is always well varied to cater for every customer. We love the fact that theres always specials available for those on a budget too. They also offer a smaller plate at a reduced price for those who wouldn't eat a full plate.Great customer service always by the chef. Its lovely to have them "Thank you" with sincerity. Will definitley keep going in on my trips home..

Us ladies who lunch regularly visit here .A great menu available every day and also the specials. We usually stick to the regular menu for value but must say the specials sound and look good(were nosey neighbours!!)The service is always fast and friendly which is especially important on an hour lunch break.Special requests are carried out without any fuss or errors which definitely warrant a mention.Only downer is the music.Id prefer Radio station during the day than jazz/orchestral.Often feel I could fall asleep. They also do 2 for 1 lunch offer via a local paper regularly.Great idea and brings in the business.Definitley worth a visit.

Marios (Terenure)
103 Terenure Road East, Dublin 6, Terenure, Dublin

This my my first visit with a pal who had eaten here before. She made a booking(quite last minute!) but when we arrived they couldnt see it.However after a few minutes standing right beside others trying to enjoy their meals,we were shown to a dirty table before it was wiped clean. We ordered starters and received them very very fast but we were sitting right next to the busy kitchen.Mains were gorgeous again and the service was fast considering it was a busy Friday night. We were offered dessert menu and wre enthusiatsic at the thought of yummy dessert but after ten minutes waiting for them we just ordered coffee by stopping the passing waitress. She asked us" did you already order those" probably because she remembered she was meant to bring us something(DESSERT MENU!).We were one of the last to leave and I must say its nice that when you pay a bill the change is not automatically assumed to be the tip.Not often I see that anymore.

The Dropping Well
Classon's Bridge, Milltown, Milltown, Dublin

Was my first time here after listening to family always saying how nice it is.Not really disappointed either. One downside is the parking.Went round and round and round and eventually squeezed into a tight spot.Had to climb out the passenger side!!Had a table booked for 7 people and unfortunately we sat next to a funeral party at what looked like a table for 6 with a chair just plonked down at the end.But to be honest it had a lovely atmosphere in that all the tables were busy and plenty of chat going on.We were going for starter, main and dessert until we seen the menu.If you dont like goats cheese or fish your limited to orange juice or chicken liver pate.To me its not a basic stye of lunch menu and only 4 opted for starters and desserts were only dished up to 4.I had the linguine and opted to add the chicken for €2 extra and was quite surprised at the amount.Value for money for sure.Salmon was to be dressed with a fancy vinagerette and when requested it was just served "the old way" which was great. We sat for almost 3 hours and werent forced out which was nice.Looking forward to my next visit but I might get the Luas.

Joels Restaurant
Newlands Cross, Naas Road, West Dublin, Clondalkin, Dublin

There were 3 of us for a small birthday celebration so decided to pop in because no reservations required. We love that part because its first come first served. If the restaurant is busy you dont have to wait but we found it worth it.After 5 mins our buzzer went off and we were taken to our seats and drinks ordered.Menu selection is very good and caters for all we believe.Great offers for those with kids as Thursday were offering free kids meals with adults.Good for those looking for a treat but on a budget.Food was cooked just as ordered and was delivered in good time.Staff always seem busy which is nice to see and no-one felt rushed.Steak was very filling and cooked to perfection and plenty of veg accompnied the lovely salmon. Will definitely be back even just for a main course.

Molly Fultons
Carraroe, Sligo Town, Sligo

It was a lovely sunny day so we sat outside. We were brought a jug of water and glasses. The menu is nice and has specials that seem reasonably priced. It is a busy spot with plenty of activity coming and going. We ordered paninis that come with salad and chips and requested garlic mayo and cheese to be put on the chips but we kinda knew the foreign lady didnt understand. When they came out there was minimal cheese on the chips(it was well melted so you could be lead to believe they had been microwaved!!) and we were supplied with portions of garlic mayo.It was adequate but considering they have garlic cheese potatoes on the menu how difficult was the request.Bit disapponting that there was no music outside and as the road can be quite loud. The portion size was massive and neither of us finished ours.Bit of a waste really.

Bistro Bianconi
The Italian Quarter, Tobergla Lane, Sligo Town, Sligo

The Restaurant has moved from the main street and it was my first time here for lunch...upon entering we had to wait 1 or 2 mins to be greeted. There was only 1 person serving and they had been in the kitchen putting through/getting orders for others. The specials menu is written up on chalkboards which is a great idea so everyone can see them.Order was ready very quickly and we were dealt with efficiently.Others that came in after us also had to wait a bit to be seated!!Food was tasty and good size portions for lunch and the prices are quite reasonable. Will go back in the evening and just hope there will be more staff.

Morilles Bistro
The Yellow House, Willbrook Road, Dublin 14, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Having ate in the pub before we decided to try the restaurant for the special early-bird menu. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and just the right size. There were 3 of us. Two went for the early-bird and the fussy one went for the a la carte menu. When the starters came out they were sent to the wrong table but this was quickly corrected. The portion sizes were very good and we were all impressed. The a la carte dish(steak) was cooked exactly as requested.Despite there being music played you couldn't help notice the two staff seemed a little flustered behind the see through curtain with alot of cutlery being dropped and errors being made.Maybe it was someones first night/week!!The only real problem was our bill.We were charged incorrectly for 3 earlybird menus( and because the a la carte meal chosen was steak this incurred a €6 addon to €19.95).We were overcharged by almost €5!!.People are looking for value for money and while it wasn't overly expensive it is just a pity..
