I am a non-meat eater (pescetarian) who went out for a birthday dinner with a vegetarian. We chose Brasseriie Sixty6 because of the good vegetarian and seafood selection on the menu. The wine, cocktails and desserts weren't bad either! Great atmosphere.

Yamamori Izakaya
12/13 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

The food here is tasty, although it's more Asian fusion than traditional Japanese. We had sushi and a collection of Japas - vaguely Japanesey tapas. There's a nice, buzzy atmosphere and friendly service. Good cocktails, too. Don't miss the bar downstairs either.

Michie Sushi Dun Laoghaire
64 Upper Georges St, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

I have lived in Japan, so I love sushi but am pretty picky about it. This is the best sushi I've had in Dublin. I've eaten in both the Ranelagh and Dun Laoghaire locations. Both were great. I'm a big fan of eel and it can be hard to find in Irish sushi. That's why I came back to Michie Sushi. My only criticism is that the décor is a bit cold and it's not somewhere I'd want to sit for hours. Good for informal dining. I have only had sushi here - can't speak for the other food. I'd recommend the sushi.
