This is such a lovely place to dine out. I've been on a number of occassions and I've never been disappointed. I have never heard anyone else say a bad word about the place either. The food is plentiful and delicous , no matter what you get! The staff are very friendly and prompt especially for such a busy place and the value for money is quite good too. I will be returning again soon i'm sure

Canal Bank Cafe
146 Upper Leeson Street, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

This place is quite near my house so I often have gone here. The food is always excellent. never had a complaint about this and portions quite good. However its definitely overpriced. I went for lunch for me and my husband and it cost 50e.... service is good , staff are always friendly

Brasserie 7
The Capel Building, Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Went here with a friend yesterday. Have to say I was a little disappointed. We had two starters and mains - although it was all ok it was not anything special. My friend could not eat her risotto as it seemed to be overcooked . The service was excellent though and we did get a free desert as we mentioned this. I think this place definitely has potential but the food is not as good as some of the close competitors

The Market Bar
Fade Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Seriously love this place! A couple of friends had recommended it so I went for a visit with my partner. There is a super early bird between 5-7pm which includes two tapas (and the tapas are huge!) and a glass of beer/wine. Everything was so fresh and the place has a great atmosphere. I've been telling all my friends and I'm looking forward to going back very soon

Canal Bank Cafe

this restaurant is close to my house. The food is very tasty and I would definitely recommend a visit . However I do think some of the prices are a little dear. I will be back again to try something else

Pizza Stop
6/10 Chatham House, Chatham Lane, Off Grafton Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here for dinner with a friend. I found it to be a nice little find. The food is good value for what you get . I wouldnt class it as fine dining but its definitely a nice little spot to grab dinner for a good price if you are around town. The service is quite efficient although one of the staff members didnt seem to understand us but the others were quick to jump in and help. I will be back again

Rigby's Deli and Dining Room
126 Leeson Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I love this place. In my eyes its very trendy and a little gem. Great value for amazing food and the fact that you can bring your own alcohol is a recession buster. No menu so you get a choice between starters and main courses when you arrive. This is brilliant because you usually end up going for something you would never have . Everything is delicous so its not a risk. Cannot wait until I go there again

Odessa

what a gem of a place! happen to come across this with my partner and we couldnt believe our luck. Only €21 each for a 3 course early bird which was more than enjoyable. High standard food and the staff where excellent. Couldnt fault it ! will be back for definite very soon

L'Ecrivain Restaurant
109a Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had a meal here with my fiance for our anniversary together. We will never forget it! The food , service and staff were second to none. It was by far the best meal out and dining experience we have ever had. The small touches like the bread that was still warm from the oven , amouse bouches and pallet cleansers to the attentive and genuinely caring waiters. The food itself was undescribable - artwork and by far the most well balanced delicious dishes we could have hoped for. We truly thank the restaurant for the experience and no doubt we will be back again. It is quite dear but it worth it

The Old Schoolhouse (Dublin)
Coolbanagher Church Road, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

Went here for late dinner mid week with my partner. I had heard the food was great in here so was keen to try it. We had a chowder and prawns to start with - both were really nice. We were both a little disappointed with our main courses though. I had rabbit on a bed of noodles - the rabbit seemed quite rubbery in texture to me and I have definitely had better. However it was quite tasty. My partner had a steak with he enjoyed but again was not the best steak he had every eaten. The waitress was really friendly and offered a great service. As the meal was such great value I would definitely visit again

Masterson's Steakhouse & Wine Bar
17 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

Went here for the first time tonight with my partner. Was really pleasantly surprised. The staff were extremely efficient and friendly and the food was definitely of a high standard. My partner had steak medallions and lobster tail for his main - he had no complaints at all. I had a fillet steak - the only flaw was that I asked for it to be medium and it was medium - well done. However everything was deliscous. At the end of our meal they gave us irish coffees on the house which was a really nice touch

Kilkenny Restaurant & Cafe
1st Floor, 5/6 Nassau Street, City Centre South, Dublin

got a great lunch deal here. brought my friend for food. the salad served with the sandwiches was huge . much bigger than what you would receive in an average cafe. The only fault was I felt the place was perhaps understaffed as it was such a slow service but the staff where efficient and friendly. Busy place so I would imagine its a popular choice for a lot of people

Smyths Cock Tavern Swords
31 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

Good proper food. Really good value. Went with friends recently and have been on a few occassions. Some of the staff are probably not the friendliest but not a big deal when they have the best bacon cheese fries I have ever had. fresh food . good price. No complaints

Ollies Place
16 New Street, Skerries, Dublin

This is apparantley pub grub but it is most definitely restaurant standard. The wings are amazing here. I had the duck with crispy cabbage as well which I thoroughly enjoyed. I would recommend to anyone. The bar is quite trendy as well. Nice atmosphere.

Bel Cibo

Have eaten here a couple of times . Food is always nice . Service is prompt and efficient. Its good value for money but its probably not my favourite restaurant . I think it lacks an initimate atmosphere

Essence Bistro
75 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

Went here last night with my fiance. The food and service here is amazing. The early bird is such good value and the wine list isn't overly priced either. We both really enjoyed the meal and intend on returning . The waiter was one of the most friendly and professional staff members I have ever come across.

Taste (Wexford)
1 Selskar Avenue, Wexford, Wexford Town, Wexford

this place has to be one of the nicest places i have eaten in a while. the staff were so helpful and accomadating and the food was second to none. the wine list was reasonable and not overpriced like many similar upmarket restaurants can be. i would defnitely head back here given the chance and thought it was good value.

Tarragon Restaurant
24 Strand Street, Skerries, Dublin

Lovely seasonal menu was found here , good choice and I enjoyed venisson for the first time and my partner had duck. Was a lovely intimate dining experience and the waitress was very pleasant and helpful . Would recommend this restaurant to any of our friends - although not if you don't have a lot of money to spend on eating out.

Pasta Pizza
54 Strand Street, Skerries, Dublin

I was only here once and will not be returning any time soon. We arrived and sat at our table for 20 minutes before even being asked would we like a menu - and it wasnt because they were busy! After ordering meal including a bottle of wine we had to wait another 20 minutes before having to ask where our wine was. We felt like leaving but were too hungy. The food was average at besand the bill felt very dear after all this. I heard from other people that this restaurant was great in the past but it must have lost its charm??

The Bracken Grill Steak & Seafood Restaurant @ The Bracken Court Hotel
Bridge Street, North Co. Dublin, Balbriggan, Dublin

Unexpectadley myself and my partner were intised by the great offer of a 3 course meal for only 28e each. The food was nice and I would dine here again.

Dandelion
St. Stephen's Green, St Stephens Green, Dublin

I ate here for lunch once and then for an early bird special with a group of friends. I have to say I really enjoyed the food and the staff were very helpful. For only €20 I enjoyed a three course meal. The starter of chicken caesar salad was more than generous which really pleased me. I then had a burger with to die for home made chips - they were the nicest chips I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. although the cheesecake i had for dessert was quite small it was delicous . Overall this was good value and good taste. Good for large groups of people or if you are looking for a bargain

Strand Bar
Main Street, Rush, Co Dublin, Rush, Dublin

For pub grub this place is not half bad. Myself and my partner eat here regularly at the weekends . Its cheap and the staff are always helpful. The food is good for what it is and I especially love the carvery on a Sunday. If you want to enjoy a few drinks and dinner here is the place to go. The only thing I would say is they should really update their menu. Apart from the fact its falling apart its been the same for around 3 years.......

Sopranos Ristorante Italiano
Main Street (Above Michael Collins Pub), Rush, Rush, Dublin

On the up side this place isn't bad value for money. The down side is it really isn't a great place to eat out. For such a big restaurant its always empty - no surprise really as the food is not professional. When I was there the vegetables I got with my meal where the ones that you get frozen and then cook - you don't want this when you are eating out! The appearance of the food is even unappetising. If I can avoid it I won't be returning

The Harbour Bar (Rush)
Lower Main Street, Rush, Co. Dublin., Rush, Dublin

I live down the road from Rush and I think I can safely say this is probably my favourite place to eat in Rush....the food is much better than anywhere else in the town. My only real problem is the waiting time , you could be waiting on a busy day up to an hour for your food so you need patience! Its not bad value for money and the staff are quite nice . I've tried a few thing from the menu and everything was always beautiful. I will return again

Little Caesars (Harcourt Street)
The Harcourt Hotel, 59 Harcourt Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I have eaten here on a couple of occassions during lunchtime on weekdays. The restaurant is always really busy and noisy and I have found the staff can be a little passive and unfriendly as they are so preoccupied. The food is fine , I've usually stuck to pasta ,but in saying that I could probably do as good myself. It's very cheap though so you can't really complain!

profile_review

La Mere Zou
22 St Stephens Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

Myself and my partner visited for the early bird menu . I have to say I was really impressed. The food was amazing , service superb. I felt in some places the early bird menu can be restricted , however not here - the choice was excellent and I enjoyed a rib eye steak while my partner had skate wing. Neither of us could fault anything apart from the overpriced wine menu as there was no house wine and the cheapest bottle was €30. A three course meal though for €26 each which was second to none was more than appreciated. Hope to go back soon

Pink Elephant
Mains Court, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

I would definitely return here sometime. The food is delicous with a large choice on the menu. The staff are very friendly but I found the tables quite close together and the atmosphere was a bit crammed as a result.

I can't complain about this place as I've been there on more than one occasion... the food is very tasty and the staff are usually friendly but the food is most definitely overpriced
