Delighted to have found I Monelli since they moved to Portobello. Still the great quality food and service from Gianni and team. Highly recommend.

The Potted Hen

Nice food in nice surroundings and attentive staff. Was visiting Belfast for weekend and found it quite pricey.

Kanum Thai
16 Orwell Rd, Dublin 4, Rathgar, Dublin

Had chicken sweet and sour delivered. Speed of delivery was amazingly good however the food was very disappointing. Was more like sweet and sour batter if I'm honest. I expected a lot more chicken and a lot less batter!! My first time trying Kanum and I won't be back. Can get much better Thai food in the area for the same prices!

Rio Rodizio

4 of us had a great night out with meal voucher, including wine. Couldn't fault a single things. Meat was superb. Tasty, tender and plentiful. Will definitely recommend.

Pinocchio Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar
Luas Kiosk, Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

Had menupages voucher for 3 course meal so great value. Very limited choice on menu but what we ordered was excellent quality and truly generous portion sizes. Thanks guys, happy to recommend.

Bellagio
92 Terenure Road North, Dublin 6W, Terenure, Dublin

Not very impressed to be honest. We had a meal deal for 2 - certainly would not have been happy if we had to pay full price for what we got. Both of us had risotto starter - just OK, nothing Wow. For main we had the Veal and the Rabbit. Veal was tough - certainly not what we expected and more like 3 year old beef rather than baby calf meat. Rabbit very insipid and all I could taste was salt to be honest. Best part of the main courses were the rosemary potatoes served as accompaniment. No complaints about service, wine, atmosphere!

Roast
10a Merrion Rd, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Visited with a meal voucher - €49 for 6 course for 2 people. Got pre-starter, starter, main and desert - weren't offered tea/coffee but didn't ask either as it was a very warm evening - not sure what the 6 courses were as we only received 4!! Pleasant evening, was Friday of bank holiday so relatively quiet - great as we sat and chatted over 2 bottles of wine and were not rushed!! Food good and service friendly.

Clayton Hotel Sligo
Clarion Road, Sligo Town, Sligo

Just home from a 2 night stay in Clarion. Was looking forward to the Asian Fusion restaurant (Kudos) and was disappointed when we discovered Kudos is now just bar snack food and the only evening dining option was the Synergie restaurant. A la Carte menu was unexciting and somewhat expensive - €15 for seared loin of pork that turned out to be 2 pork chops on a bed of scallion mash and side order of well over done veg. €13 for beef burger and wedges. Didn't stay for desert as found the room temperature very hot, not sure if aircon was working. Staff were attentive and very nice. Breakfast, also in the Synergie restaurant was all buffet/self service - plentiful but again boring, e.g. no choice of eggs - just scrambled, no potato option, and the very same both mornings.

The Joshua Tree
238 Harold's Cross, Dublin 6, South Dublin, Harolds Cross, Dublin

Got 2 steaks on the stone meal deal. Had choice of rib-eye, sirloin or fillet - no surcharge! Food very good, starters quite slow arriving but otherwise excellent service. Our first visit - didn't know they had a wood fire pizza oven and fab beer garden with tv screen out back. Highly recommend. We'll be back.
