Keenans Italian Restaurant
12 Ash Street, Clonakilty, Clonakilty, Cork
Reviewed 18th July 2011 ( visited 16th July 2011 )Visited here last Saturday around 9pm. We were lucky to get a table as we hadn't a reservation made. What a lovely place. The atmosphere was great, the service I couldn't compliment enough, nothing was too much hassle. When we first went in the table we were seated at was quite dark. When another table became free beside us they moved us there where there was better light without us even having to ask. The food was amazing also, I had bruschetta to start while my partner had meatballs, We both had a pizza for our main course which was lovely. They were all out of house white, so they gave us a bottle of Pinot Grigio for the same price. I would highly recommend visiting here.

Kasturi Restaurant (Dublin)
Unit 3, Village Court, West Co. Dublin, Lucan, Dublin
Came here for the first time last friday evening. We had a booking for 7 and the early bird meal is served until half 7 so this was great. We got the 2 early birds which consisted of starter, mains, rice and naan. My partner then got desert and we had a bottle of wine. All came to €54 which i thought to be great value. The atmosphere was nice in the place, the decor is good and there was low music on which was nice, not very busy though. The food was good. I had chilli masala. The only downside to this place was the staff were very unfriendly. The waiter serving us did not once crack a smile, When paying by card, they put it in for €54 and when we asked them to change it to €60 to give a tip, they acted as if it was an effort. In this day and age, I would this waiters would be happy to be tipped.
Richy's Bar & Bistro
Wolfetone Street Clonakilty, Clonakilty, Cork
Came here Sunday for brunch. It was really busy with almost every table full. The staff were great and let me order off the breakfast menu even though breakfast had finished a half hour before. The service was really good as they have these buzzer buttons on the table which you press when your ready to order or want the bill. Would have loved to have tried it for dinner as seemed like a really great place and the food was good.

17 Ranelagh Village, South Dublin, Ranelagh, Dublin
Went here for the first time on Friday afternoon for an early dinner. The food was amazing. I had chicken bhuna which was fantastic. The service was excellent with the staff explaining the dishes and each dish being cooked with spices to the individuals taste. It was quiet when we got there as it was only 4pm but it got busy soon after. The staff couldn't have been better. I will be telling all my friends and coming back here soon.
Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin
Ate here for the first time last Thursday. The early bird menu is good value, 2 courses for €17.95. The is a good choice on the menu. I had the bruschetta to start which was nice although the bread a little hard. I had meatballs with spagetti for main course which was really nice. We got the menupoints offer with this, a free bottle of wine for 1500 points which was great. I found the service a bit much as the staff kept appearing at the table beside us while we were eating to ask was everything is ok. This is fine in moderation but it was a little excessive as at one stage I think they were looking to take the plates and we hadn't finished eating. Also at the end, we got the bill from another person to the one that had served us and she tried to add money onto the bill for the wine, surely after the other waiter taking the voucher and giving us our wine, this shouldn't have been an issue. It was busy and the atmosphere was fine for a Thursday. The main point that disappointed me was that under the table was dirty, there was food on the floor that wasn't from us. I don't know if I would return for this reason.
7-9 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Visited Ukiyo for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. There was a group of seven girls, we had dinner booked and two hours of karaoke. My first time eating Jap food and thought it was the best place i had gone in ages, The food was great. I had beef springrolls for starter which were really good and a great portion size. I also had a beef dish for main course which was lovely, kind of a stir fry with traditional sides such as lettuce, chillis etc. The waiter serving us was brilliant, he created a great atmosphere, pouring us all shots when he found out it was our friends birthday. We were also drinking from their cocktail menu and the cocktails were lovely. The location i also found fantastic, just off georges street and grafton street so really central. The karaoke was brilliant and overall a great night had by all. Will defo be returning real soon and introducing this place to others.
Diep le Shaker
55 Pembroke Lane, (Off Pembroke Street), Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Visited Diep le Shaker for the first time last thursday. A group of 12 in total. I found the service great and staff very pleasant. What I really like was they took our order and when coming back with our food there was no fuss over who ordered what. They remembered each individuals order which is usually very unlikely when serving a group of 12. The food was great. I had the set evening menu which i found to be great value. The portion sizes were perfect, not too big a starter that would ruin your appetite for your main course. The location is fine and I found the parking to be great as for such a central location it was easy to get onstreet parking at 6 in the evening and the pay and display is only until 7 so I wasnt worrying for the night that my ticket would expire. The only downside I would have was our group were seated down the back of upstairs were the were no other diners for most of the night, so it felt there was no atmosphere here yet downstairs was busy with what seemed to be a good atmosphere, however, as there was a group of 12 of us this was not a huge problem as we made our own fun. I would return here no problem.
Da Vincis Restaurant (Leixlip)
Main Street, Leixlip, Kildare
Came here on a friday evening with my bf and it was lovely. I found the atmosphere and setting great. The food was lovely we both had pasta which was really tastly. To start i bruschetta which i really enjoyed. My bf got a starter that was croquettes with a rice and mozzerella centre with a garlic dip. I though this mix sounded odd but have to say it tasted gorgeous. Cant wait to return.
Main Street, Leixlip, Kildare
By far my favourite chinese restaurant. The place doesnt look much from the outside but one inside, you forget about where you are.. The place is great, the atmosphere is nice and the layout is really nice. The menu is amazing. I had salt and chilli chicken to start, then crispy honey chicken for main course. This is the only chinese i know that does this main dish. The staff are brilliant and service is excellent.
Captains View, Captains Hill, Leixlip, Kildare
Came here with my bf as we had won a voucher for a 3 course meal and a bottle of wine. It was amazing. The service made the restaurant. We had only sat down and they sent out a dish of garlic bread compliments of the chef. We had steak each whcih was lovely and a chocolate fudge desert whcih was delicious. The overall experience was great here all down to the great service we received from begining to end. i will definately be back.
65 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin
Visited here recently on a wednesday evening and the place was full. We had a booking made as there were 20 of us but every other table was taken which i thought was a good sign for a weekday. The service was good and staff were friendly. There was a great atmosphere in the place. I had Nachos to start which were ok but not amazing. Most of the group i was with had the buffalo wings which i think this place is known for. Honestly, the wings came out in a basket with at least 20 wings in it. What i thought was great was that nobody was actually able to eat all their wings as that was only the starter so the staff came around and asked each of them if they would like staff to wrap them up so that they could be taken home with them.I had the burger for the main course and it was really nice. Huge portions. A little pricey especially if you were going for lunch but the portions compensate. Overall a great experience.
Thunder Road Cafe
Fleet Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin
I love Thunder Road. The atmosphere in this place is great. The food is fantastic and the price is such good value for the portions. I had the Potato skins for start the last time I visited and the Burger for Main course. By the time i had eating half of my main i couldnt eat anymore. The service is usually good, this time i was here i was with a big group so it was a bit slow. I would come here for the cocktails alone. They are fantastic, The have some cocktails for €5 and are such good value as they are decent cocktails not like some you can get in other places for €5 that are just pure syrup. I am looking forward to going back again.
Little Caesars (Harcourt Street)
The Harcourt Hotel, 59 Harcourt Street, City Centre South, Dublin
I have been here for lunch several times and love the place. Such great value as all main courses are on special price of €6.95 and all starters at €2.95. The food is great here, portions are brilliant and i am always happy with my meal. The service is great and even if there are a few people they always seem to get the idea that you are on your lunchbreak and dont have all day to be waiting, Everytime i come here for lunch the place is full and there is a good atmosphere, The only downside to it is at lunchtime they dont accept bookings for just 2 people as it does be so busy, however I think this says a lot about the place that it is so busy everyday,
Eden Quay, City Centre North, Dublin
Came here recently for the first time with a group of friends from work. We decided on this one as we were going to the laughter lounge and they do a good deal where you can book your ticket in the laughter lounge and at an extra cost, have your meal in Jimmy Chungs. I really enjoyed the food. It was busy when we went, however, from passing this place before, the atmosphere appears better from outside that it was inside. The service was fine but nothing extrodinary, then again with a buffet all your really waiting for service for is drinks so its not too bad. The buffet is great as there is loads of choice and everyone can just help themselves and eat as much as they want and we all really enjoyed the deserts. Overall i think everyone in our group was happy with the meal.
Spurs Family Restaurant
U42 Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, Liffey Valley, Liffey Valley, Dublin
visited here with my bf recently. The service had improved since the last time i had been here. I got the steak on this occasion. I love the basting that they put on the steaks. Also i really like the crispy onions that they serve with their steaks and burgers. They do bottomless drinks where they refill your soft drink as many times as you need and only pay for the one. Overall the food is good, It is a little pricey for an eatery in a shopping centre however, they do deals during the week that are very good and currently they are doing a deal at the weekend where if you bring in your cinema ticket you can buy one main course get one free,
34-35 South William Street, South William Street, Dublin
Came here with a group of twelve on a wednesday evening. This place has a great feel to it, really relaxing and nice decor. Wasnt very busy when we were here but that could be because it was a weekday,We had the 2 course for €16.95, really good value for what we got. I got onion bhaji for starter which were really nice, Chicken bhuna for main course, this was great also and loads of it. The service we received was great which is impressive when there is a group of twelve, nobody was left waiting for food, everyones meals came at the same time. I would come back here again.
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
Visited this place for the third time and each time it has been completely full. I think it is great value for money. Its a small place and the service is great. The food is fantastic, I have had fajitas and think this is by far one of the best places for them that I have been to so far. Also they do deep fried ice cream which is gorgeous considering i wouldnt usually eat ice cream. The atmosphere is great here. The only one bad thing about this place is it is quite small and can be a bit cramped.
Unit 2 Balloyowen Castle Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Lucan, Dublin
The food is great. And it is such good value for what you get . Have eaten here many times and have never had a bad meal. The service is good and the place is quite small. That would be my only complaint, because it is so small, there doesnt be much atmosphere, however the great food makes up for this.
