We went here after purchasing a MenuPages deal and were really looking forward to experiencing some different food for dinner, especially after the glowing reviews. However, we were a little disappointed with the starters - chicken dumplings and tempura prawns. The tempura on both was lovely and light and while the chicken dumplings were what I'd deem 'alright' the prawns were lacking any kind of prawn taste that you would expect from fresh prawns. On to the mains where the dishes were the seared tuna steak salad and the chicken yaki soba. After hearing a couple of raving reviews about the tuna steak salad I was excited to try it but to be honest it was just a big let down, primarily led by the overdone tuna. The yaki soba didn't look particularly appealing and while the plate was cleaner than mine it wasn't as good as expected. I don't like to write poor reviews of a restaurant that is only intially starting out however, I feel the disappointment warranted one.

JD's Steakhouse
4 Rathfarnham Road, Dublin 6W, Terenure, Dublin

The table was booked in advance mentioning that we had a voucher. When we produced the voucher on asking for the bill the waiter rolled his eyes a couple of times in disgust. The bill then arrived around 15 minutes later. The food was average. The starters of bruschetta and ribs were okay but nothing special. The steaks were good but the sides were a complete let down, boring veg and flavourless potato wedges.
