We love coming here for dinner whenever we are in Dublin city. I got a voucher for a three course meal, including a welcome cocktail and bottle of wine, for €35 per person which is excellent value. We stared with a cocktail and then had the prawn starter which was very good, 5 large prawns on a skewer with a yummy marinade. We also both had the pork belly which was a very large portion. So be careful if you do not have a big appetite! As we were both so full we opted for another house cocktail instead of dessert which finished the meal off very nicely. The staff can't do enough for you and are so welcoming. Great for any occasion.

We were greeted very warmly by the staff and given lovely pre-starters on the house which was a nice touch. We just wanted main courses and ordered a mix and everyone was very happy and we were able to share which is a bonus in eastern restaurants. The wine was very reasonably priced. We left very happy and will be back again.

Benito's
46-47 Castle Street, South Co. Dublin , Dalkey, Dublin

We booked for an early table as we were having a family meal and we were seated in the booth in the middle which was perfect. We shared a selection of starters which were very good. The kids particularly enjoyed ordering their pizzas with their own pick of toppings. The adults had the fish special which was very good and all the kids ate everything. The early bird is exceptional value, especially in a large group and the service was good but hard to judge if it is all the time as the resturant was not full. However it is a family favourite!

The Queens Bar & Steakroom
12 Castle Street, Dalkey, Dalkey, Dublin

We decided to drop in for their steak on a stone deal. The staff when they eventually came were very nice and took our order quickly. You can decide how much you want it cooked so it was quite juicy and the chips were lovely and crispy. I would consider this very good value and nice for a quick bite rather than a special night out. It is a busy pub so if you don't like it too noisy it would be better to go early.

Le Plancha
1A Monkstown Crescent, South Co. Dublin, Monkstown, Dublin

We decided to drop in for the tapas night, which is on every Wednesday. We stared with a french onion soup to share. It was different to ones I had before but was totally delicious. Then we ordered the seafood platter for two which was lovely. It came with 2 big prawns with crab meat, calamari, fish ball cake, salad and dips. The seafood was cooked perfectly. We also shared meatballs which were nice but a bit too soft. As we still had room for more we ordered the prawns pil pil which came with bread. This was again very nice but was different to the dish we love ordering in Spain as this one included green beans which I think took away from the prawn and garlic oil. Overall it was really good and we will be back to check out their other menu another evening.

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

We availed of a menupages deal which was a 3 course dinner for two. The lobster bisque was excellent and the service was impeccable. We had a table upstairs beside the window which was overlooking the park. We both really enjoyed it and as it was a deal it was very good value.
