Lovely evening spent at the restaurant: live violinist,(very good), our waitress very kind, attentive and espec patient with my friend and I. The waiter very quick in avoid a burning napkin turning into fire ( my friend was careless and got the napkin on fire when it touched the candle on the table). He cleaned up straight away. The waitress was very good at explaining the upgrade with the voucher, quick service in getting food sent to the table. My friend liked the Chilean wine very much. Very good. Had a blast.

Wallace's Taverna
24 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin

was there with a friend and her child for an early dinner (around 6.45/7pm). service was good, nice and polite waitress/waiter. we took two pizzas and a pasta dish plus drinks. a bit disappointing that the pizza came out way smaller than the prior time I was there (lunch time 2 weeks earlier with 2 friends of mine). almost 15e for what it appeared as a 12inches pizza (comparison made with the child's 10inch pizza and difference was very slight). we asked for extra parmigiano cheese - a little unusual a portion not left at the table upon request. a waiter actually comes over and put some cheese on your dish and then walks away. It would be nice to have direct access to as much cheese as you like at a restaurant. but apart from these 2 downsides.... all good.

Bistro Brazil
Parnell Street 143, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Had a voucher and that's how i found out about this place. Quite small from the outside but it actually has way more room in the back. A good thing about this place is that it has bigger tables than normal .. This means that you can actually fit all plates and glasses etc on the tables. A great plus for me.The brazilian staff are lovely, smiley and quick. Food was really good... As i mentioned- very quick also, i like that. The restroom (toilet) is really small but clean, really positively impressed. Hope they keep it this way always. :). I asked when the restaurant was opened and was told few months back...well, it really didn t. Look that new unfortunately. This is the only downside to my visit there. Different colours around, unfinished touches on the ceilings.. Its a pity the place hasnt been properly painted and finished before being opened. More and colourful frames could be put on to recreate a brazilian atmosphere. I hope something will be done to make the place really stunning.

Cafe Bar H
Grand Canal Plaza, Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

i was there for a friends birthday on 21st march. my friend booked a table for 8 people and 4 kids over the ph and spoke to the female woman working there during the week. my female friend specifically asked if they accepted bookings with kids and explained that we were going to celebrate a birthday and would have not have been having dinner but simply caffe/teas etc. she was adamant in making sure the place was aware of kids being there and us not eating in- to which she was told sure, no problem at all. time was set at 3pm. i arrived at 3.10pm and found my 2 friends with 2 of the kids aggravated and having a discussion with a waiter and then this lady, the owner (whom my friend spoke on the phone with ) showing them a little round table by the entrance (you could only fit 2 adults and 1/2 kids max). my friends were told there was a misunderstanding with the booking as the cafe staff thought we were having dinner (excuse me !! not at 3pm- maybe at 6pm, but not 3pm for sure) plus my friends told this lady twice that we were having coffee/teas etc.anyway, even though there was only an occupied table with 5-6 women having brunch in the eating area at the time- they left after like 40min after we arrived (maybe another 3/4 people were instead on the other side of the cafe watching the rugby match)...we were given tables in between the 2 toilets doors (the waiter actually pointed it out as didnt notice the side sign)...2 single tables had the reserved sign on them, but the rest of the squared tables by the windows were completely free until we were forced by this lady, then i discovered she was actually the owner (totally lacking customer service and people skills ) to leave at 5pm...anyhow, after having the cake and coffees etc I asked her if i could get more water (bringing jars to the bar mmyself, also cleaning the tables from cups, plates myself etc!!!) - i was reminded by this lady that we however had to leave in 10min time. -to which i turned to my friend in astonishment as it wasnt even 5pm yet (he was the one celebrating the birthday) and he said to just leave it, not worth getting into an argument with people like this. he would have paid for the bill and just left because it was the most ridiculous and obnoxious behavior ever. we paid for the bill- but did not once believed would have been treated this way. when we left at 16.56 (because we were told we had to!) only 3 women were actually in the eating area and sitting around a round table. all the other squared tables were still totally empty at the time we left this cafe (this means that we could have been accommodated to the ones by the windows (as no Reserved sign on- so it means they were free but were instead given the ones next to the toilets- not ideal, right? with people coming in and out and the related smell....). so the cafe staff had plenty of room for us but looks as didnt care to offer a better location to people with kids. it looks as according to Cafe H its ok to let kids sits in between toilets doors even though the whole restaurant is almost empty. never -back-there-ever-ever-ever- again. no kids oriented at all. bad experience for sure!!

Milano (Temple Bar)
19 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

i made a booking via menupages, received a booking confirmation fromt he website but once at the restaurant- no booking received. thank god it was still early so the manager was able to accommodate my 2 friends and I no problems. otherwise it might have been difficult to find a table in a good restaurant in temple bar on a friday night at dinner time. i was later approached by a worker and told that there must have been a system issue and got an apology in relation to the missed booking.. but no problem in the end.. i really like going there, good food, great online offers, great service. the waiter was very attentive, patient and quick in serving us. brilliant. definitely back there soon .

La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

my friend had a discount voucher off the full dinner price so we decided to stop here for dinner before going to the theater,. i popped in the restaurant at 5.30pm giving only half an hour notice -if ok to have a bigger table reserved for 2 people at 6pm and even though i specified there were only going to be 2 people- no fuss was made and we were giving the full size table (i really dislike sitting at a small table, where there is not even room for two plates and two glasses!!). at 6.10pm we got to the place, quite full but we had the table reserved so no problem there. food was really good, starter, pizza an my friend pasta. and a glass of wine.. i really appreciated the fact that the waitress and waiter were very kind and patience: i take a while to decide on what i want when out dining. and the lady kept on refilling the glass of water without even asking ... great service and food. also very good price. and location is brilliant!

O'Sheas Irish Restaurant
23 Anglesea Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

we had vouchers for steaks..really lovely. the service was good, very helpful and smiley waitress/waiter..also amazing was the cheesecake. we really enjoyed the evening.only downside was the fact that tables were a little tiny and being the restaurant not big- you kinda got in the way of people passing through. but overall we would recommend it.

Boulevard Cafe
27 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Food was really good, service also. Our waiter was very attentive and polite. However, OMG! I never went to a noisier restaurant in my all life! I couldnt hear my friend at the opposite side of the table, not even the one sitting next to me! We had to shout for the all 1.5hr we were there... We didn t even want to get desserts there. We had to go somewhere else... The place is quite small but fair enough for people talking- that said, no need to put loud music on!!!! I want to enjoy my evening when i go out, able to hearing what my friends are saying and enjoy good food! The loud music left the place down.

Toto Ristorante Italiano
8 Talbot Street, City Centre North, Dublin

I went there with 2 ex colleagues of mine for lunch at 1pm as they are working in talbot st. I always passed by this restaurant but never went in. We sat at the table by the entrance window. One problem: the air con was too high, had to ask to get it down. Place got busy as soon as we arrived. (Lunch time for the bankers around). Have to say that, even though just the restaurant name is italian, food was quite good. I was positively surprised. The waiter was very quick to come and get orders & food was good - portions quite generous for money-value. Table was clean and spacious, whIch is also a plus for me. I would definitely recommend it.

Mes Amis
37 Upper Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Went there with my friend last friday eve, at around 5pm. There were only other 3 couples inside, not very busy. It took more than 20min to get a piece of cake out for my friend.. (Other patrons were already drinking and eating). At least she liked the carrot cake. I simply ordered a coke and glass of water for myself as was reallly thirsty.. (And told the waitress so). There was one waitress behind the bar, the one taking our order... She didnt bring out my drinks but sat on a chair facing the wall doing some calculations etc. after more than 10min i asked for at least my glass of water...then my coke and the cake and cappuccino from my friend followed. To be noted that no one else made any orders in that laps of time. So, to me service was really bad. Will not return.

Smyth & Gray's Restaurant
1A Crow Street, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went there for dinner with a friend... The service was good, the staff really try to help and accommodate you (asked to change the chair and it was done straight away). The atmosphere was nice (even thou no music whatsoever in the background), food was nice (- the veg side order- a little salty to my taste but overall good)... My friend loved his lamb... And my salmon also..The presentation was brilliant... The tray and holder..nice touch. Downside: the table for two people is very small.... The white plates are very big.... I had to get the waiter to kindly take away 3 glasses and other stuff to make room for food. Nice service, smily and helpful staff... They were very kind to get and hang my coat and bring it back when ready to go... Clean environment. I would recommend it to people....

Jimmy Chungs
Eden Quay, City Centre North, Dublin

Havent been to jimmy chungs in a while. A friend availed of a voucher for two, bottle of wine included. New entries like squid were really appreciated...coconut pudding always my favourite. Just the service, you cant even put your fork down that the staff take it away from me. They should be a little more relaxed.... Apart form that, really good...

Bar 52
52 Middle Abbey Street,, City Centre North, Dublin

I got 2 vouchers for the 3 of us and made a reservation there. I messed up with the vouchers but the waiters were kind enough to get me to print the right one once there. A downside is definitely the connection between the bar and the hotel, with people queuing to get their problems sorted from different venues. However, in relation to the food- it was realllllllly goood. The pizza was big and lovely, the mains also. We asked for two desserts but only got mine and my friend walked away without it. Overall, good food. I ve in fact bought another voucher for lunch.

Sseduced Raw Food
20 Cecelia St, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went there with a friend, made a reservation at 6.30p, as had a voucher for a 6 courses meal. Got there, sat next to the kitchen separated by a white sheet. Then during dinner that fell off. It took 2.5 hours to get the round of courses. For some reasons the waiter opened the door twice, people didnt close it properly (in fairness, doesnt close it properly) and had to get up 4,4 times to close it... And i Had to loudly ask the waiter not to open the door after he did it the 2nd time around as it was freezing outside. He left us without the water jug for like over than 30 min, then he apologised as he forgot about it. But come on, 2.5 hours wait was crazy. Little portions and such a long wait. Not going back there, im sorry.

The Italian Corner
23/24 Wellington Quay, Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

i went to the restaurant with a female friend on a sunday noon, before 2pm... as i had a brunch/lunch voucher to be used before i think 2pm on weekends, noon during the week. (12pm). i didnt have a printed copy of my voucher, however i simply had to write down the voucher n on a piece of paper the waitress handed me. one thing i didnt appreciate was the fact that the voucher stated that i could choose from a lunch or brunch menu. instead, there was just one menu... that said, 2 lunches with tea/coffee for 11e...great deal. staff were kind and nice. i have just bought another deal, for dinner this time..so- looking forward to see what the service and food will be like. moira

my friend bought a voucher for a 3 course dinner meal for 2 people. the food was good (i loved the huge steak!),i was easily accommodated with my food allergies so that was a great plus for the service received (left a good tip for the nice waiter). my friend enjoyed the wine also. however- the best feature ever was the dessert!! omg!! to die for.....loved it...good food deal and nice, friendly and helpful staff.

KC Peaches Wine Cave Nassau St
28-29 Nassau St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

i had a voucher with a friend for dinner on a Thursday evening on 14/11/13.. due to my allergies, i had some problems with choosing a proper meal from the fixed voucher menu..however the waitress, who was attending my table was very accommodating making sure i could have food made from scratch. the service was lovely (i left a good tip ! well deserved), my friend enjoyed both the food and the great wine. the only downside was the noise made by patrons...this may have happened due to the layout of the restaurant (underground floor), however it was difficult ever hearing my friend talking in front of me. by the way, i found this KC Peaches place better than the one in Dame Street, more food choice.

I just love going to Caffe Italiano... from the relaxing atmosphere to the food presentation to the very tasty food.....the chilled out music to the lovely staff always up for a laught!....doesnt matter if you only pop in for a quick caffeine fix or for a proper dinner or simply for an aperitivo....I love spending time there.... i got "my " table and love bringing friends over and introduce them to the guys.. the Aperitivo events and few new other stuff are very good ideas....looking forward to them... stopping by Caffe Italiano at least 3 times per week.....well, i guess 4 this week. left the place like two hours ago.... and it s only Tuesday! i definitely recommend this place to people....in the middle of making a reservation for next week already,... new friends to introduce the place to.....
