The Exchange Restaurant and Cocktail Bar
The Westin Dublin, At College Green, Westmoreland Street, City Centre South, Dublin, Area Code:
Reviewed 06th April 2010 ( visited 28th March 2010 )Probably the fancied restaurant Ive ever eaten in. The restaurant was immaculate. The service was phenomenal. We went for the Sunday brunch with unlimited champagne. Well worth the price. The choice of food was great and it was all really nice. The unlimited champagne really is unlimited. I expected it to be just a few glasses but the waiter kept filling my glass up at every opportunity, even as I was paying the bill. Not the kind of place I would go to regularly but great for a special occasion. Great relaxing live music too.
Kealys of Cloghran restaurant
Old Airport Road, (Off Airport Roundabout), North Dublin, Cloghran, Dublin, Area Code: Dublin 9
Reviewed 18th September 2009 ( visited 16th August 2009 )Kealys is a place that always seems to be busy. Its a nice place to go on a Sunday afternoon for a bit of food and a drink or 2 while watching football. The staff are always friendly and efficient. Almost always have to wait to be seated but thats not too much bother considering there is a bar and you are never waiting for any more than 10 minutes. The steak sandwich is really good as is the pepper sauce.
Hedigans The Brian Boru
5 Prospect Road, Glasnevin, Dublin
We ate from the early bird menu on Saturday. I had filo prawns to start which were nice and then a very tasty Cajun chicken burger with delicious homemade chips. The beef stroganoff was also really nice. Good food, good friendly waiter and reasonable prices.
7 Castle House, South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
We went in here last night for the first time. It wont be the last time. Its smaller than I expected but that just adds to its charm. The staff were very nice and friendly. The food was amazing. We had taquitos, prawns, tostadas and some baked beans. Everything tasted fantastic. Best Mexican food I have ever eaten. The cocktails are delicious, quite expensiveand quite strong but very nice all the same. To top it all off, last night there was a live Mariachi band in which was brilliant and created agreat atmosphere. Fantastic restaurant.
The Big Blue Restaurant
30 Church Street, Howth, Dublin
Staff were very friendly. The food was really nice. Only problem I ahd with the restaurant is that it is so small that we were squashed into our table by the people behind us and they had to move if we wanted to get out. Other than that, it was very nice.
Bobo's Gourmet Burgers (Wexford St)
22 Wexford Street (Beside Whelans), Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I was in here today. The food was ok. The curry chips were nice but nothing special. The onion rings were good but a bit greasy. I had a Humpty Dumpty burger which was lovely except for the egg was overcooked and rubbery. The vanilla milkshake was very nice. Staff were nice but the music was far too loud and rubbish.
The Italian Corner
23/24 Wellington Quay, Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin
This restaurant was great. The service was good. The food was excellent and the live music gave a great atmosphere. I had the trio of bruschetta for starter and then linguini marinara for main. Both were delicious.
1 West Pier, Howth, Dublin 13, Howth, Dublin
We came here for my birthday on Saturday. We booked a table for 8.30 but werent seated until 9pm. Then our starter didnt come until after 9.30. However, the service was excellent and speedy (after the initial wait), the food was amazing and the atmosphere and view from the restauarnt were great. I had half lobster to start which was lovely and then John Dory for main which was also delicious. My partners fillet steak was amazing. I got a nice birthday treat for dessert which was a really nice touch. Would eat here again but only on a special occasion as it is a bit pricey, but worth it.
La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
We ate in here last night. It was beautiful. The restaurant itself is very nice and cosy without being too small. The staff were really friendly and attentive. For starter, I had Caeser Salad which came with a choice of chicken, salmon or bacon. I had the bacon. It was the perfect size starter. For main I ahd the Cozze which was gorgeous. The creamy wine sauce was lovely and the mussels were plentiful. I also had a side of delicious fries. I would happily eat here again.
Hard Rock Cafe
12 Fleet Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
We popped in here for lunch on Monday. We were greeted and shown to our seats. Our drink order was taken immediately. The server was quite friendly and topped up the drinks when needed. However, we waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive. People that came in after us, got served before us. The food eventually arrived and wasnt great. My BBQ burger was nice enough but not worth the €17 price tag. My partner got a quesadilla starter which was stated as being big enough to share but was actually quite small. I would be still hungry after eating it to myself. The macaroni cheese was lovely though. The price is a rip off. For 1 starter, 1 main, 1 side and 2 soft drinks, the bill came to €46. Thats a lot of money for a lunch which was mediocre at best. I will not be eating here ever again.
Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
We had lunch in here on Saturday. I had a pepperoni pizza and a beer. The pizza was very nice and just the right size for me. However it didn't say it had olives on the menu but it came with loads of black olives which I had to scrape off. It was very loud also because of how busy it constantly was so I wouldn't go here for a quiet lunch.
Main St, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin
I had the jumbo prawns to start and they were delicious. Very jumbo. Then for main course I had the duck. The mash and jus were really nice but the duck was a bit over cooked for my liking. Service was excellent and the pub was quite relaxing.
63-64 O'Connell Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin
For starter I had crispy squid which was ok but nothing great. For main course I had the steak on the stone which was really good and the chips were nice too. The sauces that accompany the steak were lovely too, especially the pepper sauce. The staff were very friendly, especially the manager who went around talking to every diner. The only slight problem was that we had vouchers which we assumed were for 2 people but apparently they were just for 1 person. I think it could have been advertised better on the voucher. Other than that it was a nice night, the wine is reasonably priced too.
Taste of Brazil
32 Parliament St, Temple bar, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin
Was in here on Friday night. Place was way busier than I was expecting. They even had to turn people away because there was no seats left. For starter I had a bean soup with pork belly which was really nice and just the right amount. For main course I had rump steak which was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Desert was a tart with caramel sauce and some sort of cheese. It was nice except for the cheese.
Hampton Hotel Bar Bistro
19-29 Morehampton Road, Dublin 4 , Donnybrook, Dublin
We came here last night with a voucher. The atmosphere was great with some live jazz. The service was excellent throughout the whole meal. The food was beautiful. The fillet steak with wild mushroom ragu and champ is a must have. The menu is actually very reasonably priced too with that fillet steak being only €18.
Old Plaza Restaurant
Unit 20, 1st Floor, The Plaza, Swords, Dublin
We ate here on Christmas Eve. Upon seeing the menu, the food looked quite expensive. However after the food was brought out and eaten, it was clear as to why the price is a little bit higher. Huge portoins and the food is excellent. Will be getting take away from them in future.
Bad Ass Cafe
Crown Alley, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Was in here on Saturday for dinner before a concert. Staff were really nice and friendly but the food was average. The burger was a decent size and was ok but not a whole lot of flavour considering it was meant to be a blue cheese burger. The chips are very chunky but also very nice, the side salad was a slice of tomato and a few undressed rocket leaves. My girlfriends burger was cold when they brought it out and also lacked real flavour. Shame because I was hoping it would be really good.
Spice of India (Limerick)
First Floor, 28 O'Connell Street, Limerick City, Limerick
The food here was excellent. The staff were really really friendly and attentive. We ordered lots of food as we were both hungry but the portoins are massive so we were stuffed and couldnt eat it all. Food was very tasty though. Would definitely go back if im in Limerick again.
60 Glasnevin Hill, Glasnevin, Glasnevin, Dublin
We came here as we had a voucher. Its smaller than I had anticipated. It was nice and cosy and welcoming. Staff were very nice and we could see into the kitchen at the food being prepared which is always good. I had a pork belly pie which was very nice but lacked a bit of sauce. Other than that the food was quite nice.
Buenos Aires Grill
Unit 2 Castle Way, Golden Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Very nice restaurant. The waitresses were friendly and nice. The food was good too. I had the jumbo shrimp to start and then the surf and turf. Only problem was that the surf and turf is 2 4oz fillets but they didnt look half as nice as the 8oz fillet. Still tasted nice though. Creme brulee for dessert was delicious.
Lemon Jelly Cafe
Millennium Walkway, Jervis Street, Italian Quarter, Dublin
This place was very busy when we got there midday on Saturday. Very lively and loud. I had the Lemon Jelly special crepe which was delicious. However it could have come with a bigger side salad instead of a few leaves, one slice of tomato and one ring of onion. Very nice but a little overpiced in my book.
9 Marine Court, The Green, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin
I had high expectations for this restaurant after buying the menupages voucher. Its a lot smaller than I expected but it was nice inside and staff were very good. The food was all very nice but the portoin size is just too small. I had the seafood platter and it was very small. I was still hungry after it. It was very tasty though. Overall it was good but not great and I definitely wouldnt have paid €120 for 2 people.
100 Lower Baggot street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Very welcoming and friendly staff. Our waiter was particularly nice and was telling us what he likes to eat from the emnu. The dumplings and squid to start were both excellent. Best squid ive ever had. Then the main course were delicious too. I had a szechuan chicken dish. Very tasty and nice level of spicyness. Would go back here for sure.
Zaytoon (Parliament Street)
14/15 Parliament Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I wanted to try here for ages and finally got to go on Wednesday night. The kebabs are quite nice and huge. The meat isnt great but the sauces and the veg filling (especially the cabbage) are really nice. Reasonable price for a massive amount of food.
52 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
After wanting to go here for so long, I felt disappoitned when I did go. The menu looked nice and prices were reasonable. We sat outside and were brought menus quickly and ordered drinks. The peach bellini tasted like the peaches had gone off. For starter I had melted mozzarella and parma ham. It was delicious but there was only a small bit of mozzarella. Then we waited for a long time for the plates to be taken and main course to be brought. Maybe it was because we were outside. Main course was the calamari, prawns and whitebait. They were all very nice. There wasnt enough prawns compared to the others and also it came with nothing. No dip, no sauce, no salad, just a wedge of lemon. We then waited for ages again and decided to go inside to pay and got some pastries to take home as we didnt want to wait around for ages for dessert.
Bella Cuba Restaurant
11 Ballsbridge Terrace, Ballsbridge, Dublin
We went here on Saturday night. It was a nice cosy little restaurant and I was looking forward to it. I knew the voucher was for a sharing platter but when we got there the server gave us the menu and said we could have any starter, main and dessert. So I thought they must have changed the voucher. We looked through and the food sounded really nice so we decided what we wanted. Then another server took our order. Then without anybody telling us they had made a mistake, the platters were brought out and the food we ordered was never mentioned. It was quite confusing. That being said, the sharing platters were delicious and had plenty of food on them. The strawberry daiquiri was excellent too.
Henry Street, Kenmare, Kerry
Easily one of the best restaurants I have been to. Was empty when we arrived but it filled up quickly. For my starter I had a warm crab salad in a chilli and ginger sauce. Then I had the lobster which was amazing. Well worth the €36 price tag. Staff were excellent. Would love to go back next time im near Kenmare.
18 Henry Street, Kenmare, Kerry
I had dinner here on Monday night. It was quite busy. Very cosy restaurant and a bit dark but nice. To start I ahd bruschetta which was delicious as was my main,I had spaghetti with mussels. It was very good. The spaghetti was in a very creamy white wine sauce and there were plenty of mussels. Wine is good value too.
Cottage Bar & Restaurant
Glengarriff Village, Glengarriff, Cork
Stopped in for lunch. The woman at the bar was very nice and friendly. I ordered a BLT which was delicious and came with salad and chips. Very tasty food and very good value.
Willie Pa's Bar & Restaurant
Colamane Cross Bantry, Bantry, Cork
Very welcoming staff from the minute you walk in the door. The restaurant is really nice and quite busy which is always a good sign. I had scampi to start which was lovely and then a massive fillet steak cooked perfectly. It came with loads of side dishes though. I think one would have been enough. Had a dessert even though I was full. It was presented amazingly. I struggled to finish it. Overall it was a great restaurant and worth the money.
TGI Friday (Blanchardstown)
Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin
We came in after the cinema and I was quite let down. I was expecting some nice decent food. I got the cajun onion rings which I have no idea why they are called cajun. There was nothing cajun about them. They were really crispy and greasy and really not that nice and the portion for a starter was massive. I then had the fiery chicken sandwich which was actually nice enough but not great. The main course was brought immediately after the starter which I really dont like as it doesnt give you time to digest the starter and relax for a bit. I wont be eating here ever again. The staff were nice and brought us everything we needed so at least something was good about it.
Seasons Restaurant, InterContinental Dublin
InterContinental Dublin, Simmonscourt Road, Ballsbridge, Ballsbridge, Dublin
My girlfriend and I came here on Sunday afternoon for tapas. The food was superb. We had several portoins of carpaccio and several meatballs which were just amazing. We also tried pretty much everything on the menu other than foie gras because I dont agree with how its made. The staff were very friendly and the location is just stunning. The hotel is beautiful. Would definitely love to return here.
The Cheese Pantry
104 Drumcondra Road Upper, North Dublin, Drumcondra, Dublin
We spotted this place by chance as we were driving by and dropped in for lunch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu was quite nice and had plenty of options. I had the warm peri peri chicken salad. It was the best salad I have ever eaten. It was a huge portion, lots of really tender chicken and loads of blue cheese. The fries were really good too as were the organic lemonades that they sell. I would like to come back and try dinner and some of the vast array of wine on offer.
O'Connell Bridge, Burgh Quay, City Centre South, Dublin
Stopped in here for dinner on Sunday afternoon. The waiter/bar man was really nice and very friendly. I ordered the chicken wings for starters. They were delicious but the portion size was massive. Ive never seen that many wings in my life. I did eat them all though. Main course was burger and chips. Again it was really really nice but I couldnt enjoy it full because I was too full from the wings. Smaller starters would be good but other than that it was very good.
75 Main Street, Swords, Dublin
We went here on Saturday night as we live nearby and wanted to try it out. Service was very good and very attentive. The food was excellent. I had chicken caeser salad to start which was very nice and the rib eye steak for main. The steak was cooked perfectly. Nice and pink in the middle. Creme brulle for dessert was good too but by that point I was far too full to enjoy it fully.
Nyonya Malaysian Restaurant
76 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
We ate here yesterday. The staff were very nice but also very quiet which I suppose isnt a bad thing as it adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The food was delicious. I had chicken wings and a prawn gulai and both were excellent. My girlfriend got the roti and a chicken dish and both of those were great too. I will be back here for sure and will bring more people next time as it was really empty last night and more people need to know how good it is.
ZAO Thai Restaurant
96B Omni Park Shopping Centre, Swords road , North Dublin, Santry, Dublin
Was here for the first time last Friday. The restaurant itself is very nice and well laid out. The staff were very friendly from the moment we walked in the door right until we left. We had a citydeal voucher and were allowed to order anything from the entire menu which was good. I started with chicken wrapped prawns whcih were amazing and then a main course of stir friend beef which was also excellent. Dessert was a nice cheescake. I will definitely be returning here.
Carnegie Court Hotel, North Street, Swords, Swords, Dublin
This place is excellent. A warm greeting as soon as you walk in the door, then the staff were really friendly throughout the whole meal. The food was excellent and large portoins too. The tempura prawns in bang bang sauce were delicious and the fillet steak was perfect. Definitely will return here. Very good value for money too.
O'Connells Restaurant Donnybrook
135 Morehampton Road, Donnybrook, D04 HX46, Donnybrook, Dublin
Went here for dinner last night. Very friendly greeting at the door which is always nice. I had a duck salad for starter and it was very tasty. Then had rib eye steak which was cooked perfectly and came with chips, veg and potato dauphinoise which was really good.
Red Bar (Pillo Hotel)
Pillo Hotel, The Rath, Ashbourne, Ashbourne, Meath
Stayed at the hotel and went here for dinner. Duck spring rolls were excellent to start. The sirloin steak was very nice and perfectly cooked. The white truffle mash was the highlight of the dinner though. It was sooo good. Ha chocloate brownie for dessert. Was very nice but thought I was gonna explode after all the food.
Wrights Findlater Howth Restaurant
Findlater House, North Co. Dublin, Howth, Dublin
Ate here for the first time last night and it was excellent. Our starters came out super quick and were both delicious. I had the wings which were very nice and the cheese dip was lovely. We both had the fillet surf and turf which was brilliant. The steak was cooked perfectly, the prawns were fresh and tasty, the chips were really good and chunky. The pepper sauce was very nice. We werent given a choice for the sauce but had we been giving one, I would have gone for pepper sauce anyway so it didnt bother me. Very very nice and will definetly return soon.
harbor bar and grill
dun laoghaire, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
Was in here on Saturday afternoon. The food was quite nice. Nothing special. The onion rings in particular were lovely and huge. The staff were quite unfriendly and unapproachable. Two of them had a full blown argument at the bar which I thought was very unprofessional.
Smyths Cock Tavern Swords
31 Main Street, Swords, Dublin
Came here last night for dinner before the cinema. Food was very nice. We both had huge burgers which were both very tasty. Slightly more expensive than I had expected but not too unreasonable. I did however ask for a sauce that was on their menu only to be told that they don't do it. If thats the case then they should take it off the menu.
Riva Restaurant - Harolds Cross
53 Rathgar Avenue, South Dublin, Harolds Cross, Dublin
Went here last night. Got in and the place was quite busy. After a few minutes we realised that there was only one girl working that night. She was trying her best to accomodate and serve everybody which cant be easy on your own. We waited about 45 minutes for our starters, one of which was a cold salad. I got the wild mushroom crostini. The wild mushrooms were the wildest of them all....button mushrooms. The crostini was 1 slice of brown bread fromn a sliced pan cut in two. That been said it actually tased ok. Main course took a while to come as well so the girl gave us a glass of wine each for free which was nice of her. Main course was lovely. The chips were very nice and my steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it.
10a Merrion Rd, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin
Went here on Saturday night, again with a city deal voucher. Restaurant was small but cosy. Ridiculously warm though, never good when you are sweating at a dinner table. Staff were very friendly and prompt. Food was cooked very well, especially the steak. Like the other reviewer said the roast veg ended up being tiny and mushy. Overall it was nice and good value.
The Ivy Bar @Ashdown Park Hotel
The Coach Road, Gorey, Gorey, Wexford
Had dinner here last night. The menu choice was very good. I had chicken wings and then a steak. The chicken wing were very good. The blue cheese dip was beautiful. Only let down was the chciekn wings were meant to be cajun flavoured but I didnt really taste any of that. Still nice though. The sirloin steak was beautiful. Came out on a sizzling plate and was a good size portion. Very nice. Would eat there again gladly.
The Rowan Tree Restaurant @Ashdown Park Hotel
The Coach Road, Gorey, Gorey, Wexford
We stayed in this hotel last night so got a complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was really good. It was a buffet which had plenty of choice. The hot food was all really nice and then the pastries were good too. Service was prompt and friendly. Very nice indeed.
Marco Pierre White Steakhouse & Grill
51 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin
Came here with a few friends just after christmas. Restaurant was smaller than I expected but made for a nice cosy atmosphere. The food was very good. I had fillet steak with escargot. The steak was very nice but the escargot just tasted like parsley so I expect it was over garnished. The chunky chips are huge and very nice. The onion rings were also excellent. Very pricey food but good nonetheless. We did however have to wait almost an hour for our main courses to arrive which was a bit bad.
Unit 410, First Floor, Blanchardstown Retail Park 2, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin
I thought the food here was excellent. Everything we had to eat was really nice. The stir fried veg, the dumplings and the main courses were all really nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful also. Quite pricey but can't complain when the food is good. Only issue I ahd was that my main course said that it was very hot and spicy and it wasnt spicy at all for me.
Frankies Italian Bar and Grill
42 Temple Bar Square, Temple Bar, Dublin
Came in here before we went to a gig. Even though it was busy, we were given a table immediately. We both went for the early bird menu which for €14.95 was pretty good. Calamari to start was very nice and the burger and chips were excellent. Side orders of garlic mushrooms and onion rings were both very tasty too. Good service, good atmosphere and good food.
7 Anglesea Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I had high hopes for this restaurant and I wasn't disappointed. Staff were very friendly when we came in and explained how everything works. Then the food was delicious. I love how you pick what you want and then watch the chef stir fry it for you. Its defiently the best all you can eat I have been to and one of the best restaurants as well. No doubt that I will be returning here. Great value for great food and a fun night out.
58/59 Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin
Just headed in here last night before a concert as it looked nice and for €9.90 it seemed a bargain. The food was very nice. Not as much choice as other all you can eat places but I liked that better as too much choice isnt always a good thing. I had 3 plates of food. Everything I ahd was very nice except for the lamb was very chewy. The prawns and veg in garlic sauce was delicious. For 2 meals and 2 drinks it cost €22. You cant go wrong for that. Very nice. Would definetly return.
Eden Quay, City Centre North, Dublin
Food was ok. Very good selection but nothing really stood out and being delicious. Not the best all you can eat but not the worst either. I would rather have stayed at home and just got a take away. Service was good though.
Eddie Rockets (Blanchardstown)
Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Blanchardstown, Dublin
Went here yesterday before the cinema. There was a queue out the door but thankfully it didnt take too long to get a table. The food and milkshakes were all excellent. Service was excellent too. Very pricey for the food though but for some reason you dont feel ripped off because its so nice.
The Old Boro Public House & Restaurant
Main Street, Swords, Dublin
This pub is a very nice pub and was decorated fantastically for halloween. We ordered from the early bird menu which was very reasonable at €15.95 for 4 courses. Mushrooms for starters were very nice, stir fry was also very nice and then the cheesecake was excellent. Very good value for money. Staff were very friendly but service was a bit slow.
Cactus Jacks (Middle Abbey St)
Millennium Walkway, Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin
Went here on Saturday night. It was very busy which is always a good sign. Food was very reasonably priced and the portions are huge. The quesadilla's were excellent as was the latino burger. It was a bit of a struggle to finish it all but I soldiered on through and managed it.
The Westbury, Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
There isnt a bad word that can be said about this restaurant. The staff were fantastic, the restaurant is fantastic and the food was fantastic. We used a menupages voucher which they kindly let us have any 3 courses for free instead of the set menu. All of the food was excellent. The biggest fillet steak I ever had and the nicest. The sorbet on the dessert was beautiful. Wine was a bit expensive but it was very nice. Definetly the best restaurant I've ever been to.
Aughrus Restaurant at the Allingham Arms Hotel
Main Street, Bundoran, Donegal
We were in Bundoran for the night and there wasn't a whole lot of choice of places to eat so we picked here. Restaurant is nice and the staff were very nice also. We had our starters which were both delicious. Then went onto mains. Mine was really nice but my girlfriend got fillet steak which wasnt actually cooked properly. It tasted like it had been stewed instead of fried and it definetly wasnt medium like she has asked for. Overall most of the food was nice but its pretty expensive and not worth the price tag.
Chilli Shaker Indian Restaurant
River Mall, 32-36 Main Street, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin
This was my second time in here. Both times the food has been excellent. This time I had a lamb special dish which was lovely. The sauce was delicious. The service was quite good. The only problem I have is that the restaurant is always too hot. Maybe open a window or get some air con. Food is very reasonably priced too. Will go back for sure or maybe get take away.
Swords Pavilions, Swords, Dublin
We came here for dinner before the cinema and it was amazing. The staff were very helpful in explaining how the restaurant works. The food was excellent and came with quite large portions which is always good. I liked the choice of beer on offer as it was different from the usual. The sauces are very nice and one staff member brought them all down for us to taste. was really good value for money too. It was my first time in Nando's but defiently won't be the last.
The Bloody Stream Restaurant
Under Howth Dart Station, North Dublin, Howth, Dublin
The food here was really nice. The mussels for starter were really fresh and the sauce was delicious and the portion was quite big. Fish and chips were really good too and very reasonably priced. The only problem I had was that even though I rang and booked the table and then rang during the week to confirm it, when we got there they couldnt find a booking for us (even though it was for a large number of people). The staff were very nice and friendly but seemed forgetful as we had to ask a few times for menus and drinks to be brought. Other then that it was very nice and would defiently eat here again.
The Bank on College Green
20-22 College Green, City Centre South, Dublin
The building itself is wonderful. Its a great place for a restaurant. The decor is fantastic. The food was very nice but I found that there wasn't a good selection on the menu. The starters in particular were quite limited. The staff were very friendly and attentive to anybody's needs at the table.
Old Airport Road, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin
Visited this restaurant last night. The menu is quite big and has lots of things that sound really nice so choosing was a hard task. The food was nice but nothing more. It wasnt bad but just not great. The portions are quite big which is good. Staff were very nice and friendly. It wasnt expensive either which is a bonus.
The Front Lounge
Parliament Street, City Centre South, Dublin
I really like this pub. Its very quiet and relaxing during the day and staff are super friendly. I had a wrap here yesterday and it was very nice but it was mostly lettuce and not a whole lot of meat. Still nice food though.
Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
Came here last night and it was really busy even though it was monday which was a good sign of how good the place must be. The service was excellent. I had buffalo wings to start and they were really good but very messy. Then I had a main of peri peri chicken. The portion was really big and really nice. The pizza in there is enormous and also really good. A nice pint of beer for €3.50 is a great bargain. Also the loyalty scheme seems good, I received €5 off my next visit. I also had a €25 voucher thanks to my menupoints. Well worth visiting.
The Exchange Restaurant and Cocktail Bar
The Westin Dublin, At College Green, Westmoreland Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Probably the fancied restaurant Ive ever eaten in.
Masterson's Steakhouse & Wine Bar
17 Main Street, Swords, Dublin
We found this restaurant to be excellent. Friendly staff, nice decor and excellent food. The food was very well presented and tasted amazing. It was very reasonably priced too. Staff were very friendly and courteous and made it a pleasure to eat there. Only downside was my beer was warm but thats not a big deal. Would go back again as soon as possible.
St. Stephen's Green, St Stephens Green, Dublin
The 2 for 1 dinner offer is fantastic. The choice is brilliant and the food is exceptional. Service is very slow though and they never seem to come over when you want to get the bill. But that aside, it is a great place to eat and very good value for money.
Milano (Temple Bar)
19 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
We have been here a couple of times now. Every time the food has been beautiful. The pizza's are delicious, the chicken pasta is very good too/ Staff seem very friendly. The place is always busy which is a good sign. The only problem we have had is the last time we were there it seemed like the waitress forgot our order as we were almost 45 minutes waiting for our pizza.
Silks Chinese Restaurant
5 The Mall , Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin
Went for the early bird menu. Wasnt much of a choice. Threre was I think 5 mains and 3 of them were chicken. The place is way too dark and the staff looked really unhappy and were very unhelpful. One of them kept filling the water after every sip was taken out of the glass which was just annoying. Food itself tasted nice though. Wouldnt go here ever again though.
Over Laurels Pub, Main Street, Dublin 22, Clondalkin, Dublin
Went here for an early bird dinner on Tuesday evening. The staff were very friendly. The menu had a nice choice of food to choose from. The food itself was very very nice and it was amazing value. Would definetly go back again to try other things from the menu. Well worth the drive and the money.
Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Swords)
Pavillion Shopping Centre, Malahide Road, Swords, Dublin
Went here with my girlfriend on Monday. Staff were very friendly, service was good. The burgers were huge and required a knife and fork to eat. Lots of choice. The chicken satay burger was really nice. The fries are nice and large portion. There was a special offer that meant we got our food and a cinema ticket for €20 which was quite good. Food itself is quite pricey though. The average price for a burger was €10.50 which is a lot if you just wanna grab a burger for lunch.
Airport Road, Cloghran, Dublin
Came here for a carvery, as I do at least once a month, sometimes more. The menu doesnt change very often but there are some nice dishes on the menu. The stir fry is always good, as is the curry. Roast potatoes arent the best. The staff are friendly enough and it s anice place to eat. The food portions are very big. Myself and my girlfriend both struggled to finish our food.
Kealys of Cloghran
Old Airport Road, (Off Airport Roundabout), North Dublin, Cloghran, Dublin
Kealys is a place that always seems to be busy.
Harry Street, St Stephens Green, Dublin
I really really liked this restaurant. The decor was fantastic. The layout was amazing. I really liked the fact that they had old black and white movies playing on the screen. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The food was nothing short of spectacular. It was so tasty. The starter was excellent, main course was excellent and dessert was alaso excellent. Its quite a pricey restaurant but the food is well worth it.
Casa Pasta (Howth)
12 Harbour Road, Howth, Dublin
I have been here a few times now. Its a very friendly atmosphere. Sometimes when busy, it can be quite tight between tables. The food is excellent. Especially the fresh fish dishes. Dessert menu wasnt great. It was much better other times I ahd gone there. Staff are also very friendly. Would definetly go back again.
