Was going to the gaiety to see a panto and ended up eating in break for the border before the show. We were the only customers in the place so zero atmosphere. The menu available was quite small but reasonably priced. We recieved very prompt service and ordered straight away, chicken wings to share for starters big portion and delicious, I had the burger it was fresh and homemade, came with chesse bacon mushrooms, chips and salad Was lovely, My partner had fajitas came as a big portion also and also very nice. Our daughter had sausage and chips very nice and big portion, our bill came to €56 this included 2 glasses of wine and 4 soft drinks, I consider this excellent value for this area, food was fresh, hot and tasty and staff were very nice

Pasta Castello
Unit 11, Donabate Town Centre, Donabate, Dublin

Excellent meal here yesterday, they are running a promotion on a Sunday, any main course for €10 between 2pm and 4pm, service was very professional and friendly, we were greeted by the chef/owner and had a lovely waitress who was very efficent, I had the castello steak which came with salad, chips and pepper sauce, it was cooked perfectly and very enjoyable, great kids menus, even had pizza shaped like Mickey Mouse, kids had desserts which were lovely. This is probably the best food, service and value I have experienced in a while, highly recommended I can see this place becoming a regular haunt for us

Restaurant Ten Fourteen
324 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin

Starters were ok, had lamb burger for mains, bland and went soggy very quickly, didn't enjoy it really, service was good but considering it was very quiet I would expect that, was expensive for what we had, would not return, much better value to be had in the area

Gourmet Food Parlour Swords
Unit 2 St Fintans, North Street, Swords, Swords, Dublin

Love this restaurant, myself and partner were off work so collected our daughter from school and went here for a late lunch, I had pasta special with Chorizo and Tiger prawns it was a beautiful dish with plenty of prawns and chorizo, my partner had the burger and chips, v good and beautifully presented, my daughter had a gormet chicken and stuffing sandwich which they adapted for her, and a side of fries, my daughter and partner had snickers cake with pink lemonade for her and a excellent cappacino for him while I had a lovely glass of white wine, the meal came to €60 this also included tip and 3 cokes. The atmosphere was quiet but v relaxing with great jazzy music playing. Service was impeccable as usual, my favorite restaurant in Swords, never fails to impress, compliments to the chefs

Pizza Hut
24 Suffolk Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here on a grabone voucher €30 of food for €15 This pizza hut is very run down, the starters were ok, pizza was good, the unlimited refills on drinks are good especially if you have kids with you, the toilets were a disgrace and the salad bar looked anything but fresh, full menu prices v expensive for what is being served. Our waiter was run off his feet but very attentive and professional, would not return again as there are many nicer cheaper restaurants in the area

Browns Barn Bar and Kitchen
Citywest Exit, Citywest Bridge N7, West Dublin, Saggart, Dublin

Sunday dinner for 2 adults and 2 kids, we had carvery (kids had pizza and chicken gougans). Carvery was very good, self service with the veggies a good idea, kids meals were made fresh and delivered to table, kids meals included juice and ice cream in the price, and food was of good quality, I really hate when restaurants serve kids bad quality food!! Was v impressed with the standard for the price we paid, I have to mention the lovely Staff here, everyone we encountered was really friendly and we enjoyed our meal here and will visit again
