We had an excellent meal here, using our Menupages voucher, which was very good value. We had full choice from the menu, which, as always, was varied and very tasty. The only thing not correct was our white wine was not cold, we were told it had only arrived that day, but I would expect that the wine should be chilled before being put on the wine list. However, a large bucket of ice and water was provided and the wine was cool in a pretty short time. I have been to Dobbins on several occasions and have always had a good experience there.

The Drawing Rooms
The Merrion Hotel, Upper Merrion Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

My friends took me for Afternoon Tea to celebrate my Birthday. The food was delicious, and all items well explained by the waiting staff. There is a large Tea Menu and you can have as many different teas as you wish. The 3 desserts are based on paintings in the hotel and were beautifully crafted and yummy. The complimentary book on the hotel paintings is a lovely Souvenir to take home.

Asador
1 Victoria House, Haddington Road, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

I had a delicious lunch here, I had the smoked paprika marinated chicken. The salad was really fresh and the Moroccan style tabouleh was delicious. My only quibble was that the chorizo was a little burnt at the edges. I had a look at the dinner menu, which appears pretty expensive.

The Stillorgan Orchard
1 The Hill, Stillorgan, Stillorgan, Dublin

I often meet up with friends for lunch or an early dinner before the cinema here, excellent value for money. The food is tasty, though far from haute cuisine. Much better than some pubs that have a carvery, all food is prepared in the kitchen after you order it. I particularly like the hamburger. I once had the Steak, which was on special, but it was a bit on the thin side, but then again what can you expect for <€20.

Trocadero
St Andrew Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I've lost count of the number of times I have been to the Troc - it is always lovely. We were given a choice of a table near the door, or one in a nice corner at the end of he restaurant, we chose this one as it was ideal for us as one of the party is hard of hearing. We had the Early Bird, delicious Pate, followed by Smoked Pork with delicious Potatoes and Carrots. The Panna Cotta lacked flavour a little, but overall we had a lovely meal, with good but unobtrusive service. I will be back soon.

Darwins
80 Aungier Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

My friend and I dined here early Saturday. Despite the restaurant being busy, the service, as always, was excellent We were quite surprised to find the pre-theatre menu available in December, which at €29.99 is good value, considering the quality of the food. The fish of the day, plaice, was beautiful and the Brussels sprouts even tasted good! The Christmas pudding was delicious, light and served with some yummy ice cream.

Restaurant FortyOne
Residence, 41 St. Stephen´s Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

We dined here as a couple on Friday last, we were greeted in the Hall by 3 ladies, a wee bit OTT, but perhaps they were expecting a big Party of people.. At 7.00 we were the first diners in the room, which was tastefully decorated for Christmas.. We ate from the a La Carte Menu, the tasting one was not mentioned or proffered when we were given the Menu and Wine List. Prices are pretty steep, but the food is excellent and if you can afford it, worth it for a special occasion. We were well served by our Irish and Mauritian waiters.

Siam Thai (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

I dined here with 8 friends on a busy Friday night. No effort was made to take our coats and hang them up for us. The service was patchy, when there were only 5 of us there and we asked for water, only 5 glasses were brought, instead of bringing one for each diner. I feel he staff need more training. The food was tasty, especially the aromatic duck for 2 as a starter, which was really delicious and a decent sized portion.

Pizza E Porchetta
The Malting Tower, Grand Canal Quay, Dublin 2 , IFSC, Dublin

I was part of a group of 5 who ate here, we had the pre-theatre menu, 2 courses + tea/coffee and a bottle of house wine per couple. The system is adaptable, as we were an uneven number we were given a half bottle of house wine and charged €25.00 for 1 person. I think the meatballs would be better if 1 less was served, with more sauce. The crab linguini didn't appear to have a lot of crab, but was tasty. A very 'buzzy' place in the centre of Dublin's IT area.

Boulevard Cafe
27 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I had dinner here Friday last with a friend. Very tasty starters. However, the main course of beef bourguignon let them down, it was just a very ordinary beef stew, not a hint of the unctuous taste I would expect. I have had this dish before in BC, and it was far better.

Jerusalem Restaurant
77 Camden Street Lwr., Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

We dined here with the Menu pages Voucher, which was fantastic value. There is a small Tesco across the road, so you can buy your white wine on the way, and the restaurant will supply a cooler. Food was very tasty.

The Offer on Menupages was excellent, all dishes on the A La Carte were offered, without any supplements. Food, as always, was excellent. Dobbins has an excellent wine list, at a range of prices. The restaurant was quite busy, for a Tuesday evening.
