Cafe en Seine
39 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin
I had arranged to pre-order our food for 12 noon by phone and had to leave a voicemail. The doors did not open at 12 noon and a number of people were left waiting outside for a few minutes. The menu item "Home smoked salmon" should be reworded as it is not sliced smoked salmon but a mayo mix of salmon prepared by the chef. However the chowder was excellent and full of fish. The fish and chips were really lovely but 6 chunky chips is too little. Add to that the tourists parading up and down behind our table taking pictures, the delay in replacing the smoked slamon for the chowder and the error on the bill, made for an awkward experience.

One Pico Restaurant
5-6 Molesworth Place, Schoolhouse Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
The decor and seating were elegant and modern and the staff were very attentive. The menu offered a good variety and allergies and food intolerances could be cateres for. Although the hake was delicious I thought it was served warm instead of hot. The desert was disappointing and the portion was tiny. One biscuit with 3 cubes of ruhbarb and a teaspoon of sorbet. Not very satisfying as a course on a 2 course menu.

I would highly recommend this restaurant as a genuine taste of Italy! My colleagues and I enjoyed a delicious meal with excellent service. They kindly acted on the comment I made based on a previous visit, about the recipe for the mussels being changed. I ordered them again on this visit and they were delicious in white wine and no tomatoes!! Very well done! Bravo.

The menu has slightly changed and my favourite dish (mussels in white wine) has changed to tomato sauce which is a bit like Tomato soup. It's not very nice.

Have eaten here many times and the food is really good. The atmosphere is great and the coffee is top quality. Need to go early if you have a group of 6 or more in your party.

Excellent food, attentive staff and luxurious surroundings. You need to allow time between ordering and eating as food id cooked to order.

The Pig's Ear
4 Nassau Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin
The menu advised that there would be a wait for the food and there was but this is what we expect when we choose this restaurant. No complaints about the food etc. The stairs are a little difficult to manage for certail people so I will have to consider that before the next booking.

The Blackboard Bistro
The Basement, 4 Clare Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
The food was excellent! Best salmon I have ever tasted! Its a bit small but the food and the staff made up for that. A very special experience all round and would recommend it highly!

Good food in a nice atmosphere. Can be slow to get food once ordered when it is very busy.

The atmosphere was buzzing if a little loud. The food was excellent and authentic Italian however the service was a little slow. The value was excellent and we would all go there again as there was a party of 7 people, We would highly recommend this dinign experience. A little piece of Italy in Dublin. The serveice would have to be quicker though.
