Seriously not fun. The place itself has been refurbished and it was clean. The food was basic, reasonably quick to arrive and fairly instantly forgettable. The teenagers would repeat the experience while the middle aged adults would not.

A terrific spot, great food and really nice staff. Definitely try this place!

Promenade Cafe
1-2 Windsor Terrace, South Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Lovely spot in which to meet a friend for coffee and a scone. Service is quite slow, scones are great and it is easy to linger watching the lovely seascape.

Peploes Wine Bistro
16 St Stephen's Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

Great food on a very busy night and so myself and my sister were accommodated at a tiny table n an awkward corner. Nice wine list. Tasty food. Pricey.

Gotham South

Great for a casual, off the cuff supper with the kids. Tasty food, easy dining.

Hartley's Restaurant
1 Harbour Road, South Co. Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

A great spot with a lovely cocktail bar in which to start the night. Will return for our son's 18th birthday family meal.

Milano (Dun Laoghaire)

Quick, cheap, cheerful. Great pizza before the movies at a reasonable price.

Yamamori Noodles
71-72 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Here recently with my husband having just seen Ballyturk. Very tasty food in a fairly noisy ambiance with plenty of people enjoying their night out!

Douglas & Kaldi Terrace Cafe and Restaurant
Level 2, Dundrum Town Centre, Dundrum, Dublin

Love this place for brunch! Was there recently with my adult daughter and enjoyed our meal on the terrace in sunshine! Great smoothies too!

Toscana (Dun Laoghaire)
5 Windsor Terrace, South Co. Dublin , Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Not our favourite! Have found our family of four (now adults!) tucked into a table for two. Generous portions, pleasant staff and great view from upstairs out over the bay.

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

The most recent time that we ate at Rolys we had the benefit of a voucher. We were delighted that we were offered the same food as if we had booked directly without a voucher. The front of house could be improved upon as we were left standing, along with a number of other, and some quite elderly, customers, for quite some time without explanation, offer of a seat or of an aperitif. As anyone who has visited Rolys before will know the tables are situated quite closely together and this can result in acoustic difficulties as large parties gather volume. The food is always terrific here.

Chi Asian Restaurant
9 Georges Avenue, Blackrock, Dublin

This used to be a great 'local' restaurant however the food is increasingly bland. The staff is lovely and the premises pristine.

Gourmet Food Parlour Dun Laoghaire
7 Cumberland Street, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Great Tapas! Small, cosy and friendly. Try to get one of the window seats for more comfort. Really tasty food, generous for Tapas and on occasion good music also.

Akash Indian Restaurant
7 Georges Ave, South Co. Dublin, Blackrock, Dublin

This used to be a great family favourite and based on the food alone it probably still would be. However over the last couple of years we have preferred to do take outs as the restaurant rarely has enough customers to make for a good atmosphere. The food is consistently great however, over time, has become disproportionately expensive.

FXB Monkstown
3a The Crescent Monkstown, South Co. Dublin, Monkstown, Dublin

My very favourite local restaurant! Consistently good food, friendly efficient service and pleasant atmosphere in the bar downstairs. Maybe not completely moderately priced for bar food however enough to bring us back each week!

Bloom Brasserie & Wine Bar
11 Upper Baggot Street, Dublin 4, City Centre South, Dublin

A really great night out. We started with complimentary cocktails as one of pur party was a member of their VIP club - we all are now! Terrific food, good wine selection and great front of house. Good value too. We will definitely be back :-)
